I have been going here consistently since 2005 so that says something. Especially since there are many other nearby nail salons. However, there has been a change in management in the last couple months and a change in employees as well. All the old employees (except one) are now gone - quite suddenly and with no explanation. The new employees seem sullen and unhappy. I should have quit going when I noticed this as the place is eerily empty (when it used to be hard to even get in). I feel like everyone else figured out this place was going downhill and I'm a slow learner. I went a couple days ago for a pedicure and the new employee yanked my foot up by my big toe - holding it up in the air like a tree branch! It hurt and was so bizarre. I asked him to stop as it hurt and the rest of the pedicure was rough and painful. Definitely NOT what I'm used to there. Also, one of the employees there noticed I had a new manicure and was questioning me why I didn't get it done there. She kept going on and on about it like I had been unfaithful. Overall a great place to get your nails done, especially in Marana! I have been twice already and loved the outcome of their work. They have a nice selection of regular and gel polish. I got acrylics for the first time and had a foot scrub/massage. Extremely clean place and they follow all of the safety procedures. I will definitely be a regular customer! They can get very busy so I would suggest making an appointment. *8/22 Delicate nails has new gel colors that range from fun summer shades to fall hues. I chose the mint shade (Breakfast in NYC) and had a design created on the middle fingers with a gem placed on my pointer fingers. Absolutely loved the results and a week later the gems are still attached! The nail salon I normally go to wasn't opened today so I thought I'd check this salon out. Upon entering, I was afraid, an extremely typical salon with an odd decor, it wasn't overly clean by any stretch of the imagination. I had made an appointment for 4:00 and I was desperate so I thought I'd try it. Finally, at 4:23 a technician came over and apologized for my wait and we got started. If I wasn't so picky about the surroundings and cleanliness I would return but only because Amy knows how to give amazing calf and foot massages as well as arm and hand massages. The manicure and pedicure were also okay. Amy was also very sweet and actually understood what I was saying as I could understand her quite well. I won't be returning because this place creeps me out and there is a Salon a block away that is so much cleaner, calming and relaxing. read more

This place is great. One of the nicer nail salons I've been to. Every time I go in I seem to get McKenzie and she is always super nice and does a great job on my nails. They always seem very friendly and personable with anyone that comes in. Please tell me why you have MEN doing pedicures!!! They are horrible!!!!!! They hurt you..have no sense of relaxation techniques and use their own nails to scratch off the polish they get on your skin. NOT relaxing or enjoyable at all! I will never go back there! Worst gel manicure. It lasted forever BUT the tech just ripped the old one off. No acetone. Nothing. It was painful and from what I've read and know of gel manicures, not what you are supposed to do. Ruined my nails. Never again. Also, didn't seem very sanitary and the women there were not chatty and seemed to look like they hated being there. I've been coming here for years, and it's always a friendly environment, with good service and very reasonably-priced. Never had a problem with a manicure or pedicure here. The folks at Delicate Nails are also pretty quick, which I appreciate. If I want an extended spa treatment for my nails, I'll go to a spa. Mediocre. That's all I can say about my entire experience. Nothing out of the ordinary. The guy didn't talk to me once other than to answer a question and to tell me to put my feet together. My leg/foot massage was more a rub. He didn't fully run in the lotion on one of my legs. This was my first pedicure here, and probably my last, due to the lack of costumer service. Not necessarily bad, just a lack of. Never got a manicure here, however, do to the lack of customer service during my pedicure, I doubt I'll even try the manicure. I know a couple of other places that do the same job if not better, with at least a conversation or two during my time in the salon. Their eyebrow waxes used to be wonderful. They had a separate room, the wax wasn't excruciatingly hot, and they always looked nice and neat and got all the fly aways. Now? They had their waxing room taken out to make room for more pedicure chairs so I was sitting in the back on a chair with everyone watching me. They missed so many hairs and claimed they were too blond (I'm a dark brunette) so I didn't buy it, and the wax hurt beyond belief. Not impressed.. read more

I visited this salon two weeks ago for a pedicure. I wanted red toes with white polka dots and a black Mickey Mouse head on my big toe. I showed the tech a pocture and she said no problem. The nail tech made a black blob on my toe nail and I asked her to remove it and only put white polka dots. She used a tool to put white dots on my nails that took about 2 minutes total. I was charged an additional ten dollars for the dots because it was on all toes and not just a few. I did note, however, that French is only $5 and is on all nails. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Iv'e been a consistent customer here for over a year now and Amanda and Meghan are my go-to's. I always get exactly what I want when it comes to design, and I am a picky customer. The shape and size have to be spot on or else it drives me nuts but these ladies always deliver consistent work. I've been coming to Delicate Nails for 5 years now, and it's always been a great experience! Tracy is incredible, and extremely artistic with her designs. All the nail artists I've seen do amazing pink and whites, and everything else. Super clean and everyone is so friendly. I recommend people to them all the time. I will never go here again... I called yesterday morning July 3rd and I asked "do you have the children's pedicure chairs, the small spa chairs for little girls?" The lady told me "yes we do" and I repeated myself anyways to confirm... then I asked her if they would be open today July 4th since it's a holiday... she told me "I did not plan to be open tomorrow (July 4th) but I will for you can you come at 915?" I told her yes we would be there and I told her it would be myself and my friend getting mani/pedis but that it was mostly about my almost 5yr old getting her first mani/pedi it's our special girls day...we got there today and they did not have any child size spa chairs which I was not happy about but I didn't make a huge ordeal about it apparently there was some sort of miscommunication... we'll then we proceeded to get started and she was not very happy that I wanted my daughter to get a spa chair and for them to give her a little pretend pedicure then she was way up right about everything mu daughter behaved so amazing! I was honestly so surprised how good she was but this lady was being rude and way over reacting to my daughters few movements... anyways she lied to me and I don't recommend this place at all especially if you have kids.. read more

I have gotten pedicures here a few times and they are pretty good and fairly inexpensive. I took my nieces to get shellac manicures for the first time and their nails turned out pretty good but my technician did a HORRIBLE job! I had huge gaps on several nails were the gel stopped so far away from my cuticle it was actually comical! I could tell she was having a hard time because she had to keep wiping away mistakes with her nail. When it was done I had a bunch of harden gel on my skin. Also, they didn't have enough stations so they sat me and one of my nieces in the pedicure chairs. That was just uncomfortable and awkward because we had to reach across your body she she could work on one had and keep the UV light on towels on your lap with the other. I have gone to Delicate Nails for 3+ years and I was always satisfied but they recently went through some staff changes & I'm now looking for a new place to go. I had the "manager" for my manicure and she was more interested in chatting with the Direct TV switching out their system than doing my nails. She commented several times "where was I?". The end product was not a good result. Then she pawned me off to a guy that was so rough it was painful. Since I get pedicures every 3 weeks this time of the year, there was no reason to work that way. As he was completing my pedicure, the customer before me came back from her car and her toes were bleeding and her polish wasn't good so someone else helped her out. I have been here before and was very happy with their work. I went with my daughter the other day. She did not get what she wanted, to the point that they argued how another style would be so much better. In addition, their prices have increased, so that was a lot of money down the drain. We will never go back-even to have them fix their mistake. I feel like the man that did my daughter's nail didn't know how to do the ombré style and the owner didn't want to put her phone down to help her.
