Filling mix for burritos and enchiladas
Simon W.

Delicado's seemed like a very popular place. Different kinds of people in the crowd, a 15-20 minute wait, etc. all suggested we were in for a good food experience. And, it was good -- but. I think it really fell down on value. We ordered a chicken enchilada and a chicken burrito (each $12!) and there were some problems. 1) For $12 all you get is one burrito. That's friggin' pricy! 2) The burrito and enchilada were almost indistinguishable. They had the same filling (pic uploaded), the same meat, the same topping... the only difference was one had cheese inside of it and one had cheese outside. 3) There were several "heat" options from mild to spicy; one level up from "mild" ('medium -") was WAY hot and again, indistinguishable from /four/ levels up from mild ('medium +'). It's a funky place, and the food was fresh-ish. But lousy value, a long-ish wait, and food that was uniform kinda makes me wonder why it was so popular. P.S. The one standout was their salsa! Cooked tomato with carrots in it -- nice and sweet.

Always a little chaotic. But worth the wait! Fresh and delish!

Although I am partial to the original location, the Delicados across Aulds from Woodgrove Mall makes for an excellent alternative to mall food!

Fantastic, bumpin' lil Mexican restaurant right around the corner from Woodgrove Mall. I can't believe I hadn't been here before! It was very busy and interestingly played Jamaican tunes when we first walked in, so a fun vibe for sure. We sat on the outdoor patio in the sun with a bit of shade which is perfect in the summer. All the food looks delicious. I had the "big burrito" which is a massive burrito served on a plate Burrito El Grande on the menu. I could have used more sour cream and salsa, but overall quite good. I hope to come back and try the rest of the menu soon.

Ate here yesterday and it was not worth the price. A specialty wrap was small, delicious but not worth the money.

Honestly, what a gem of a find! We had just finished hiking up Mt. Daniel's, and happened to…read morestumble upon this place - and I'm so glad we did! We lived in Cali for a number of years, and definitely had our fair share of good Mexican places, so always skeptical when trying ones in places that aren't necessarily known for it. But this was so good! We had the guac and chips to start. Guac was super tasty band had an awesome touch of pickled red onion on it. I then had the fish tacos and hubs had the pork quesadillas, both of which were delicious and really fresh tasting. I also had a passionfruit margarita, which was really tasty but could have done with a bit more tequila. The service was awesome - our server was really friendly and attentive and someone else even came out to see if our dog wanted water. I didn't go inside, but from the outside looking in, it looked cute inside. Had plenty of outside seating. Was by far the best food we've had since coming to the Sunshine Coast - will definitely go back when we visit again.

It was good but the service left a lot to be desired. Pros:…read more - EV charging station right out front - Ample amount of parking - Enchiladas were good - Comfortable seating Mid: - The chicken soup was only okay compared to other places we've been to - Prices were average. Meh: - There was a misunderstanding between us and the server. We had wanted 2 soups and 2 enchiladas, but he misunderstood it to be 1 soup and 3 enchiladas. Mistakes happen, I completely understand, but when we told the server he was trying to blame us and stated that we had ordered 3 enchiladas. There were 4 of us and we thought it was pretty clear it was 2 and 2. Given some time, he huffed and corrected the order. - After we paid, I decided to look at the bill and realized we were charged the completely wrong bill. When I went to tell the server he said, "no it's the right one", I repeated it wasn't. He said "yes, 2 soup and 2 enchiladas." And I finally said "but this says 2 burgers". Then he finally caught on and we finally paid our correct bill. It was a lot of unnecessary back and forth.

Taco Bell is across the street from Woodgrove Shopping Center coupled with a KFC (Kentucky Fried…read moreChicken). A lot of people have negative things to say about Taco Bell, but not me personally, love the place. Unfortunately it's up at the northern end of Nanaimo, and I end up entering Nanaimo at the south end (takes about 30-45 mins to get there from where I live), so obviously I don't make a lot of trips up this way unless I've got some shopping to do at Woodgrove (which is pretty much the only place where you can get most of what you want/need). The $9 boxed meal is a pretty good value, you get a medium drink with 3 items and a churro (think Mexican donut) for dessert. Usually one of the items is fries supreme, but I remember getting nachos once and that wasn't half bad either. The other 2 items seem to change at least once every month (I don't know how frequently, I never went there more than once in a month). One month it was the Doritos Locos taco and a hard shell taco. Then the next month it was the Gordita Crunch and a Taco Supreme. Most recenlty it was a dual-layer taco, which is a supreme taco with a layer of cheese and another taco wrapped around it, with a taco supreme. They also have really good value on soft tacos, you can order soft tacos for something like $1 a piece. I'm not a fan of the hard shell tacos, and neither was one of my friends who went there with me one time. My other two friends who go there with me on our sometimes monthly taco bell trips usually also order the $9 box meal and they pretty much affirmatively agree that the hard shell tacos aren't as enjoyable (mostly because they fall apart!). If you ever feel like tacos, and you don't feel like cooking them yourself, taco bell is a fairly solid choice. Of course if you DO feel like cooking tacos yourself, you can probably make a nice batch of tacos that would blow taco bell out of the water for roughly the same price! But then you have dishes to deal with. If I feel like doing something crazy I'll make my own, but for $10 or less, you can't go wrong with taco bell.

Absolutely the worst service and food and I will not be back. Things need to change here. Store is…read morealso very dirty from the bathrooms to the floors to the tables. Gross.
