Chorizo corn fritters ( so yummy) scallops with anchovy butter ( amazing ) then Spanish sausage in reduced red wine ( flavour upon flavour )

Such an enjoyable evening , food was fantastic as well as service . If you get the chance stop in at this little gem but make sure to have reservations as always busy.

Loved the atmosphere on Maya Norte's patio. Glad I got there early as it filled up quick (as expected for Friday nights anywhere). There was a lot of selection to choose from, from both the regular tapas menu and the black board specials. Between two of us we chose 4 tapas which were small but satisfying. The lime prawns and roasted Brie are delicious! I will certainly be going back again. It's only expensive if you order a lot of tapas and want to fill up on a lot of food, otherwise it's reasonably priced if you are there to just drink and snack. You get what you pay for. Service was decent and speedy.

Everything was bland, food over-fried, not very authentic, served 2 tablespoons of guacamole for $7 guac and chips. Very meh experience.

Our server was attentive and around when we needed something but never interrupting, and his recommendations ended up being some of our favourite dishes. The anchovy olives were a standout, super crispy, packed with flavour, and not overly fishy at all (great if you're a bit hesitant about anchovies). The mushroom toast was rich, savoury, and full of umami. Just a heads up not to let it sit too long since it softens the bread. The tuna tartare was fresh and well-balanced. Not my personal favourite served on toast, but still really enjoyable overall. The paella was excellent, perfectly cooked shrimp, tclams, and crispy pork belly chicharrón that added the best salty, fatty crunch. The roasted cabbage completely surprised me and was easily one of the best veggie dishes I've had in a while. I could have eaten a whole plate of it. We wrapped things up with churros and shared a pitcher of sangria. For three people, it came out to about $68 each before tip, which felt very fair for how much we ordered. Would definitely recommend.

As well, the manchego was so tiny it was like a shaving . The bone marrow amounted to about three teaspoons of marrow. We were so sad and dissatisfied. The patatas bravas was okay. Unfortunately we do not have a reason to return.

The first time I came, I thought I was in the wrong place, but the friendly staff pointed me to the stairs which takes you to a cute little dining area. Each time, I've come on the weekend, and it's always been quiet. All their dishes are basically simple preparations of their imported goods. Over three visits I've tried their appertivos, tostas, cino jotas, tapas, bocadillo and marisqueria. Despite how simple everything is, it's quite delicious, and becomes the reason why I go downstairs to buy several products before going home. Service always been super friendly, but not always there when you need them, as the employees do double-time working downstairs and so they are not constantly present in the dining area. Overall, I always enjoyed my meals here. It's simple food in a quiet cozy place.

I think it's nice to come here to hang out with friends or family on weekends. Have a drink, enjoy the ham and cheese, chill and relax!

The vibe in the restaurant was nice. Felt like we were teleported away for a few hours. Everyone was chatting away eating. It was an open space, but not hard to have a conversation. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. She made great recommendations on wine and food. We ended up taking advantage of their special shared tapas menu for two at $59.50 CAD. I ordered some wine by the glass to go with some of the dishes. We didn't have any preference in the order, so our waitress brought things out as we finished. The spread included bacon wrapped stuffed dates, chorizo puffs, salad, veggies, croquettas, patatas bravas, prawns, beef short ribs, and a chocolate mousse-like dessert. Everything was so tasty! It starts off so well with the bacon wrapped stuff dates and you think there will be a dip in taste at some point. I believe the only dish we didn't finish were the veggies, done ratatouille style, we were pretty full so we chose not to finish this one and make sure we could eat dessert. She did figure out I was american when I tried to give her my credit card. I always forget they bring those credit card devices to your table outside the US. I would definitely go back to try some of the other menu options.

The cozy converted house was full but not loud with dim lighting and close‑set tables for an almost home‑dinner vibe. From my visit, we shared three standout plates. The alcachofas con jamón paired confit baby artichokes with roasted onion and jamón Ibérico. It was a good balance of textures and classic Spanish seasoning. The ensalada de ajo blanco con tomates asados y atún semicurado brought a creamier, richer profile: silky almond‑garlic dressing on fire‑roasted tomatoes with chunks of semi‑cured tuna and a drizzle of ash oil that added a nice aromatic note. The arroz negro arrived with seafood mixed into deeply flavoured squid‑ink rice; it was hot, savoury, and rich, perfect with a squeeze of lemon and garlicky aioli. Service was a definite high point! It was warm, knowledgeable, and paced so we weren't rushed. Portions were generous enough for sharing among two, especially with the more substantial rice dish in play. That said, the overall meal trended toward the rich and dense, so pairing with a couple of the lighter salads or crisp wines next time would help round things out. Would recommend for for date nights, small groups, or anyone curious about Spanish flavours. Lighter eaters might want to mix in a salad or a vegetable forward plate to balance the richer offerings.

I could list them all by name but some of the names are quite long and might not mean much to anyone who doesn't speak Spanish! The Paella dishes are the filler dishes and then we ordered smaller appy sized dishes to get a little taste of things here and there. A noodle dish called Mariscos Fideua was highly recommended so we made sure to order that. On top of that we ordered 2 different types of Paella. One had chicken & rabbit in it while the other had squid ink in it. While the Paellas weren't bad, we all preferred the appetizer dishes better. There was a potato salad dish that had tuna and anchovy in it, which seemed to be quite the crowd pleaser at our table. I wouldn't have minded a larger serving of that. Whole roasted sea bass was also quite nice. There was at least one of each type of dessert on our table. A Basque Country Cheesecake, a Torrijas (Spanish style Brioche French Toast) and Ice cream. For the ice cream, some of us ordered Rum n Raisin while others ordered Turron. When we asked what Turron was, the waitress described it as an almond candy somewhat similar to Marzipan. After trying it...can't say it tasted anything like Marzipan to me. It had a nice roasted almond flavor, but it didn't taste like Marzipan and the texture was quite grainy. Enjoyed the flavor but would have enjoyed this Turron ice cream more if the texture of the ice cream had been smoother. The rum in the Rum n Raisin ice cream was very very strong! I half questioned whether it would be safe for me to get behind the wheel of my car after eating this ice cream! I have not ordered Rum n Raisin ice cream very often throughout my life so I could be wrong but my impression is that the rum should be more subtle and not quite so potent. Less potent would certainly be my personal preference even if it's not the standard around here! Still a good ice cream. Especially if you're someone who likes rum. Just a matter of personal preference. Service: Good Parking: Paid parking on the street

Food Taste and Quality: Food came to the table hot and fresh out of the kitchen. Some of the patatas bravas were a bit undercooked - for me there was a bit too much sauce here.
