Nice sandwich shop, friendly and clean. Great food. I had the BBQ chicken and Swiss wrap and it was very tasty.

Great sandwich shop! Seems to be locally owned and has that feel. Stop in, the prices are good and food better.

Here's a polished, friendly Yelp-ready rewrite:…read more I stopped in for breakfast at this little gem, and it did not disappoint. The moment you walk in, the aroma alone pulls you in. From the outside it looks small, but there's a roomy back area with plenty of seating. The coffee was fantastic and came in a small carafe--perfect for two cups, though they offer larger sizes too. Their frittata selection is impressive, with so many delicious options. I went with the bacon, egg, and cheese topped with their famous cheese sauce. Trust me, you need to try it. We also ordered the Egg Benny--omelette pieces topped with home fries, bacon, sausage, and that same signature cheese sauce. Another winner. Ask for their jelly!!!! Wink wink!!! Our server was wonderful--constantly checking in, refilling our water, and making sure we had everything we needed. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. You won't be disappointed.

My wife ordered the Smash Burger. A delicious two-patty delight with a special sauce. I had the Loaded Potato "Pizette." A 14 inch flatbread with mozzarella cheese, pillowy home fries and garlic aeoli, this was delicious, the bread perfect, not too hard, not too soft. We'll be back to try the more breakfasty side of the menu. Recommended!

It has a nice, elevated atmosphere, so you should dress semi-formal. Prices are on par with other upscale restaurants. The food has always been excellent and the service as well, most of the time. You absolutely MUST get the Clothesline Bacon as an appetizer. Make sure you slice some pickle with it and squeeze a little lemon juice on top! The manager urged us to try it that way during one of our visits - we never looked back. Rather than eating in the dining area, we chose to sit at the bar for their Foxy Hour (Happy Hour) offerings. There are plenty of tables surrounding the bar as well. We had the Clothesline Bacon, 6 Oysters, Hipster Fries, Spicy Lobster Mac, and we each got the happy hour burger. Everything tasted great, but the hipster fries were a little greasy and lacked the shishito peppers they had last time. We finished off with the Eclair Trio dessert from the Specials Menu. On two separate occasions we were seated at an awkward table in the back of the restaurant, right near the kitchen service area and door to the outside patio. We weren't thrilled to be there, as there was constant traffic in and out of the kitchen and through the doors. I think they should just do away with those seats, so everyone can have a relaxing dining experience no matter where they're sat. If you've got a special occasion coming it, Orchard Park is worth checking out!

It is a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and cute simple decor that has a communal feel. The specials menu had some fun and exciting choices for st Patrick's day! There was also a listing for blueberry pierogies which we decided we just had to try. I think the concept is exciting and new- but the inside of the pierogies were only blueberries which weren't very sweet. We thought it could be even better with the addition of a sweetened ricotta, cream cheese, or mascarpone inside to compliment the berries. There was a drizzle of some kind of icing which was tasty and went well but there wasn't enough of it. We ordered our meals from their regular menu. They must have polish roots because pierogies and kielbasa show up on the menu a few times. I saw "pierogie omelet" and was sold. You can tell their pierogies are freshly made and it makes all the difference. I probably wouldn't get the omelet again because it was kind of a lot happening at once, however, next time I go I think I definitely would like to get the pierogi platter they offer because I enjoyed the kielbasa and pierogies so much. My sister got a strawberry arugula salad with crispy chicken. I did not try it but I tried a piece of chicken and it was deliciously crisp. She said everything was really good and the strawberries were perfect and ripe. My mom, who got the protein pancake with fruit on side agreed. My other sister got a tuna wrap which she also enjoyed. I also like that they do a 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade with your choice of flavor. I got the raspberry and it was delicious - not too sweet but the flavor was there. Our waitress was a gem and we never felt rushed.

There is metered street parking. The hostess indicated that there would be a wait for a table for one, until the other hostess suggested the bar area. So I sat at the bar and waited to be served. My server was super friendly and very attentive. She suggested cafe con maiz, which was pretty good and Im not an iced coffee person. I also ordered the chicken scoop, fried chicken breast with waffle. And thats where my 3 stars come from. For $25, I expected more than a half of waffle and two small fried chicken breast. It was literally half a waffle!!!! The hot sauce that accompanied it was good. Maybe I will come back and try something different next time, but not buying a half waffle for 25 again The ambiance was nice , warm and inviting.

I was also excited that they moved to a bigger, brighter space. There's ample parking in the back or street parking which are refreshing changes compared to the old location. *FOOD* The menu has something for everyone, from classic breakfast staples to more creative brunch options. Come hungry -- the portions are generous and everything tasted fresh and made to order. I highly recommend trying their seasonal tiramisu latte (I seriously would order this everyday if I could) and their Tex-Fast Bowl which was decadently delicious. The drink was creamy with a hint of sweetness and definitely lived up to its name. If you're not a brunch lover, they also have other options like burgers, wraps, house specialties, quesadillas, and much much more! *SERVICE* Staff was friendly and welcoming, though the pace could use some improvement which I'm sure they'll figure out over time as they just recently set up in this space. Overall, Maria's Brunch is a great spot in Metuchen that's definitely worth visiting!
