The meats were all delicious. The elote left much to be desired. They were out of a few things (certain meats, certain sodas, etc. twice I've been which is kind of disappointing). Arrived on a Sunday afternoon on a beautiful day. The patio was busy with people enjoying their beverage of choice and food. There was no line so I had plenty of time to browse the menu and settle on a few menu items. My picks were turkey, brisket, brisket tostada, and elotes. There was some wait for my food, but I hopped on over to the bar while I waited. I ordered the Toro Toro, which from my understanding was a hibiscus margarita. The bartender wasn't sure how to prepare it and asked another bartender how to do so. Heavy on the syrups with this one, so I don't recommend it if you don't like sweeter drinks. Which unfortunately for me is why I took two sips and left it. When the food arrived it wasn't hot, but rather warm and cooled down a little to quickly for me to enjoy. The Brisket tostada would have to be my favorite thing that I tried. The green sauce that came on it gave it a good kick of heat and there was plenty of meat topped on it. The turkey was moist and flavorful as well as the brisket. The elotes was also delicious, but once again my food cooled down to quickly for me to really enjoy it. Overall it was a decent experience. I honestly prefer Hurtados in Arlington if you are trying to decide on another option. Great patio and cool vibe. Food was good, but I'm not dying to go back. If someone suggested this place for a quick bite and beer, I wouldn't mind it. read more

What a great gem to find in Mansfield. BBQ was surprisingly very good. We'll be going back for sure!

First time going. Wanted to check it out and try a few different things. Ordered the 2 meat plate with Pork Belly Burnt Ends and Brisket. Got Mexican Street Corn as my side. Also ordered a Birria Taco. First piece of Pork Belly burnt end was fantastic but the other two were tougher and nothing special. The brisket had good bark and smoke flavor but wasn't enough to make me come back. The Birria taco was good but not sure I will come back just for Tacos. Awesome bbq, many options depending on your likes. The brisket is delicious. Loaded cornbread is fabulous, so good. Try the brisket burger with bacon if you're in the burger mood. You won't be disappointed. It's not cheap, as any good bbq will be. Outdoor seating on good days is a nice option. Small bar and the service levels at the bar can be slow I've found if only one person behind the bar. read more

The restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are several restaurants in the same corner block and the vibe is pretty cool. Their menu prices are comparable to other BBQ joints in the area. Service is good & fast. I ordered beef brisket, quails and and super green cole slaw. Quails were decent. Ate at this place after ordering counter service. The food was ok to mediocre. The part most dissapointing is service. After leaving a percentage based tip for food that is already a little pricey, the staff could not be bothered to make sure the order was correct. Neither sandwich we ordered included the condiments (pickles, onions, bbq sauce cup, etc). Service is below standard, and reflects directly on the Owner/Manager. No one at any point checked on us, or asked if we were ok. What are we tipping for? It is counter service, and not even executed correctly. This was my first and probably last time going. I am not interested in speaking with the owner about their poor service unless he is inviting me back over to remake our order for free, and we can talk about it then Ambiance is mediocre to poor. The venue itself is decent, but staff was not actively cleaning/bussing tables, and many tables still had trash on them. The food is great, but the service was not the good. Had my order taken and waited about 40 min. At first I thought "it is bbq, so I guess it makes sense." But then I went to the register and they MISTAKENLY put my receipt on the "order served" section. But that wasn't the problem. It was the attitude of the people working the assembly line. Placed an order on UberEats at 2:30 for a Vaquero Plate and a Birria taco. Paid $57 for the order btw which is not cheap at all. Then at 3:40 I get a call from the Uber driver asking me to confirm if I placed an order from this restaurant because they can't find my order and don't see it in the system. And I said yes.. I have the receipt and the order in progress through the app.. so he says he's gonna talk to them and see what he can do. Then 20 minutes go by and I get a message saying my order has been canceled. I wasted pretty much 2 hours waiting on the order that never showed up, and when I went to call the restaurant the lady that answered was extremely unhelpful and really just not willing to make it right. She said that they had given my order to a DoorDash driver and that apparently that other person still hadn't received their order either so it's really just a mess. They need a better system to keep their orders organized and not cause such a poor experience to people who are willing to pay good money for their food. She waited on us today and kept asking us to repeat our order, only to get it wrong anyway. She was very impersonal and somewhat rude. Bobby has always treated us like valued customers and it's sad that one person can change the perception of a business. The food is still very good, but service is just as important. On the inaugural visit (for us, at least), I have to say, the folks at Del Toro have it going on. It is a kitschy joint with a resident brewery, in the heart of a progressively gentrifying main street in Mansfield. All things being equal, in Texas, however, the average and mundane barbeque does not even register on the radar. For Del Toro, the barbeque is well made, although not stellar, it is presented in novel ways that give some leeway and advance the standing of their place in Texas barbeque. My wife and I had the brisket nachos and they were rather good! We also chose a few sides, the kale and spring greens in the coleslaw were a pleasant surprise. Lastly, one birria taco blessed our table. This was the star of the show! On the downside, the serving of elote (a Mexican corn dish with cheese and spices was rather soupy and the charro beans were unpleasantly underdone (too "al dente for beans). Of course, both are minor issues that may be different on other days or remedied with some attention to detail. The open-to-the-outdoors areas, in Texas, can also be a blessing and a curse. A stray fly or two continued to vai for a taste of our spread. Overall, I will chalk this one up to an enjoyable experience. We will be back. read more

This place is overpriced. Potions are super small. Food is not hot nor fresh. You will leave hungry and have to go somewhere else to get something else to eat because you're not full. Pinto Beans look delicious but they are raw and hard. Not like pinto beans should be, creamy and melt in your mouth. They charge you for any little thing. You're better off going to Colters Barbecue. I've had beef ribs from the County Line, the H‑E‑B dino rib (San Antonio), the only-on-Saturday beef ribs from 2M Smokehouse (the Mac-n-cheese with chorizo is to die for), & then there's this new place Del Toro BBQ- the single rib I got was juicy, meat falling off the bone delicious. Although a bit pricy @ $35/lbs, this single rib came out to $43 so it could have fed 2 people. I also got the cole slaw & my wife who's not a big slaw eater loved it, too. The good, the lemonade is delicious. Now for everything else. The brisket was dry like shoe leather. Seriously, not good. I had to push down hard with my knife to cut it. Not good. No juice, no tenderness, no taste. The pork bell burnt ends were dry and hard as a rock. How can a piece of meat that is 50% fat be dry and hard you ask? I couldn't tell you but Del Toro managed to do it. Terrible. The Mac and cheese was good as long as it wasn't the dry part. Not dry like crispy from baking but dry like moisture was not to be found because it was old and hard. Before you assume I was there. During off hours this was at 6:00 Friday evening.
