Good food, great drinks in a backyard atmosphere. We sat outside around the bar, service was excellent! The Texas Twinkies are fire, the bacon wrapping is perfectly carmelized!! Mac n cheese was bomb, nice and creamy. Elote was good, a little watery at the bottom. Birria taco was very cheesy, consommé was yummy . Carnitas taco pickled onions are a great touch. Brisket taco was great

My first time at Del Toro, but not my last! I loved this simple yet cozy spot. It's casual and has a cute outdoor area so you can take your dog and they have some kind of game for kids. We stayed inside but it was good to see they had something for kids. My curiosity was piqued when I saw barbecue tacos on the menu. That's not something I have had, but my husband has. I went for something I was familiar with, Birria tacos. Omg! They were filled with meat and cheese, and were lightly fried. Anytime I've gotten birria, there is some fat and juice involved, and theirs was similar. It lends to the flavor. The meat was tender and the broth that it is served with is SO tasty! It was a little spicy but a friend and I agreed the flavor is beautiful! I'm an intermittent faster and a light eater,so I was ready for this meal, but one taco and Mac n cheese was enough for me, but my husband ordered two bbq tacos and shared in on the Mac n cheese. Prices are definitely affordable. Hubby loved the barbecue tacos as well as the macaroni n cheese. Normally, I don't eat pasta, but I wanted to try it. The cheese was very flavorful and the macaroni was cooked between al dente and stracotto. We finished it, no problem! The service was good. I ordered the cherry limeade cocktail and it was light and tasty. Yum! The only negative was that they ran out of the blonde beer my husband really enjoyed. Maybe someone enjoyed themselves to it before we got there. If you're in the area, GO FOR IT! You won't be disappointed!

Food was alright seemed like it was reheated. Brisket was dry but the turkey was good. Seemed like they had 2 people working the restaurant. Maybe it's better on a weekend

Always would see patrons at this place when I went to burger spot nearby so finally decided to give this place a try and I'm sad I didn't try it sooner! Everything was fantastic - the brisket nachos, Texas Twinkies, Turkey/Chopped brisket/sausage/ribs were perfection! The max was good. The elote lacked flavor for me and they forgot my charro beans so I wasn't able to try that either. I would def try this place again

Del Toro BBQ So after fighting the urge to roll over and go back to sleep on this nice rainy day in Texas, we decided to get the kids out the house and get breakfast but or plans were foiled by long wait lines for a party of 5. As we drove we decided to do what we do and try a new bbq spot. We arrived to Del Toro BBQ with the expectation that it would be like our normal bbq trips. We were greeted by Aaliyah, the hostess and asked if we were dinning in or getting it to go. We dined in and ordered our norm. A pound of brisket (lean and moist), a pound of ribs, the 1/2 pound of jalapeño sausage, some Mac n Cheese, and a couple of Texas Twinkies. Our server Jackie took our order. Bobby, the Pit Master, brought us a sample of their pork belly burnt ends. Great brewery atmosphere. Fast & friendly service. We went early but I can tell this place is popping in the evening with the bar and vibe. The Brisket was classic Texas style. Salt, pepper, and smoke. Nice and tender. The ribs were tender and competition bite. I can still see my bite and it held together nicely. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was simple and classic. Not too spicy. The kids enjoyed it. The pork belly burnt end was rendered really well to the point it crisp up with a nice chew. The Texas Twinkie was on the meaty side. Full of brisket, a hint of cream cheese. The bacon was crispy and glazed very well with a nice sweet bbq sauce. The Loaded Potato Salad was a great side to the meat over load. Creamy, nice mouth feel. The potato held its integrity with all the other ingredients. The Mac n Cheese was made with a good al dente grooved elbow noodle with nice queso cheese dip sauce for a TexMex twist.

I came here for dinner with family. It was a quiet night and wasn't too crowded inside the restaurant. We don't eat pork and quickly realized that a lot of the non-pork proteins (beef ribs, quail) were only offered on the weekend. So I opted for the "ranch hand" plate and chose the brisket and turkey breast. My sides were the Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread. I'll get the negativity out of the way and say that the cornbread was not my favorite. There was one ingredient that overpowered it and left an aftertaste. Other than that, everything else was phenomenal. True southern barbecue. The barbecue sauce was also amazing. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone fortunate enough to be close by.

We learned about Del Toro as a result of Legacy High School's spirit night. First of all, thank you to the owners/management for supporting community kids. We were excited when we saw the menu on Yelp as it listed beef ribs (a rarity in DFW). Upon arriving, we learned that beef ribs were no longer a menu item which was a disappointment. Our family adjusted and changed our planned dinner items. We had the brisket nachos, chips and queso, chopped brisket sandwich, sliced brisket, Mac n cheese, and the elote. We would return for the chopped brisket sandwich....and oh their bbq sauce!!!! YUMMY!!! Their nacho chips were DELICIOUS and stood up to the weight of toppings rich nachos and creamy queso. Their service was excellent - and we had the opportunity to experience their problem resolution as the cashier rang our nachos up as chips and queso. The waitress and manager promptly and courteously corrected the mistake, gave us the incorrect items, and wouldn't accept the difference in $$ from us - instead they were very apologetic for the error. I am only giving the place 4 stars because the sliced brisket was very dry, queso was blah, and the elote was definitely not a repeat.

Great local Mansfield joint! Love the plethora of patio seating between the restaurants. Brisket-good salty bark and tender. Pork Ribs-they were tough and definitely had that day after feel to them. If they were fresh I think they'd be great as the seasoning was amazing. Brisket Tostada-just try it. Amazing!! The refried beans with the brisket and cojita cheese with green salsa is a delectable combination. Smashburger-biggest letdown. No flavor even though it comes with bacon and "sauce". Skip this. Mac and Cheese-nothing wrong but nothing great. Again like the ribs it tasted old and a bit crusty. Texas Twinkie-hubs said it's one of the best he's had. Lots of great star dishes here that the misses can be overlooked.

This is such a gem in the downtown mansfield area and kind of hidden. I've been to downtown soo many times and never noticed this spot. Overall the food was good just a little salty to me but didn't stop me from eating it. The elotes was good just wish it had less water in the bottom. I had to get extra toppings to make up for it. It's a very popular place because people just kept rolling in. They have high top tables, low tables, and outdoor seating as well.

They were out of a lot of items since I arrived 1 hr before closing. Got the pork ribs and they were fall off the bone. Great taste but could of had more meat. The brisket was chipped, no other option at that time of night. It was dry and something I want to forget.

With the El Jefe platter we got to try ribs, brisket, smoked turkey, burnt ends, pulled pork and a sausage link with two sides (Mac and cheese and baked beans). We ordered a birria taco, small cup of cornbread and elote corn for good measure. The meat was all great, the ribs were tender and falling off the bone, the turkey had a great smoked flavor and was tender as well. The brisket had a good seasoning and the sausage was also delicious. The real star of the show for me was the sides. Their baked beans are like a Mexican -bbq fusion which I've never had before and LOVED. Seriously, a bit of cilantro and seasonings made for a great flavor profile. My husband was swearing by the corn and how tasty it was and my son really enjoyed the Mac and cheese. While we loved 90% of this meal the only thing I would probably not order again was the cornbread - it was pretty dry even with the honey/syrup. It crumbled everywhere and the Birria taco was good, but just missing a bit of spice and hot sauce for me. There was a line of about 10 people ahead of us when we arrived and we probably waited about 30 minutes to actually leave with our food in hand. It felt like it went by quickly. Inside was packed with people eating but they had a nice little bar area towards the back and multiple TVs showing sporting events and things. The walk ways got a little cramped while waiting, but it wasn't terrible. All in all, we spent about $70 bucks to eat here and it was definitely worth it and we'll be back.

I was born and raised in Texas, so I've had my fair share of barbecue, but Goldee's takes it to another level. I recently moved away from Texas, and for my last weekend in town, all I wanted was one more great Texas barbecue experience. A few friends and I decided on Goldie's on a Saturday, and knowing it can get busy, we committed to the full experience. We showed up around 8:30 a.m. with lawn chairs, a cooler of drinks, and some games, and turned the wait into a tailgate. Right before they opened, a staff member came outside and walked everyone through the menu and ordering process. She explained the regular menu items and the specials they were featuring that day, which was helpful when it came time to decide what to order. And as a group of six, we ordered a lot. Honestly, that's the way to do barbecue: get a little bit of everything or, in our case, a lot of everything. The sliced brisket was fantastic, the pork spare ribs were excellent, and the pork belly was incredible. The pork belly was probably the biggest surprise for me because I've never considered myself a huge pork belly fan, but Goldee's may have completely changed my mind. The jalapeño sausage was also delicious. They were featuring Brahman that day, which was similar to brisket, and that was another standout. We also got a beef rib, which was, of course, fantastic. For sides, we had the mac and cheese and pork hash, and both were excellent. And then there's the banana pudding. I love banana pudding, and I genuinely don't think you can leave Goldee's without ordering it. Even a couple of the guys with us who aren't big dessert or sweets people were raving about it. From the food to the staff to the entire experience of hanging out with friends and tailgating before opening, Goldee's was everything I wanted for my last Texas barbecue stop. If you're serious about barbecue, Goldee's needs to be on your list.

This place is AMAZING, it's the best BBQ I've had in my life (I lived in Texas for 20+ years). All the meats were amazing. The pork rib was the best thing, so tender and juicy. The pork belly was a huge surprise - it's so good too. The turkey was one of the most moist turkey I've ever had my entire life. The sausage was cheesy and juicy, one of the best ones I've had. The brisket was solid too, but surprisingly my least favorite of all the meat I ordered. The desserts were decent, but I don't think I would order that again. Would 100% come back and it's definitely worth the 2-3 hour wait. I would recommend coming early at 8 or 9 AM to wait in line and avoid the food selling out (which happens as the day goes on - pretty much everything is sold out by 1 PM).

The Texas Twinkie is a jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and brisket and wrapped in bacon. It was my favorite item as the cream cheese and bacon balanced out the spiciness of the jalapeño.
