I moved to Prescott Valley ten years ago. When I got here I was happy to see some of my favorite fast food places were residing here too. Del Taco was a regular visit for me where I came from. I was used to good service and consistent quality. So why can't this location provide the same thing? I have frequented this location for ten years. There have been periods of time there were good workers. But they don't stick around long. Out of my last ten visits, 7 were disasters. Wrong orders. Left out items. Terrible food. Overcharged. I have also noticed the employees always seem miserable and irritated. Almost like they are in physical pain just being there. No smiles. No "Thank You." No "Please come back soon." It was so depressingly weird I considered passing a note to the drive thru girl that stated "Blink twice if you want me to call the police for help." After all these years, my family finally decided to stop the insanity in September of 2025. No more Prescott Valley Del Taco for us. So what was the final straw you might ask. Well I will tell you. My wife and I ordered two combos via the drive thru. We know this current crop of employees are.... Let me put it nicely.. inconsistent. Yeah that is a nice word. A lot nicer than the word I would use privately. So when my wife ordered, she spoke deliberately and concisely. I will have a #6 large with a diet coke. And a #3 large with a Sprite. (I don't remember the actual order numbers, I didn't memorize the menu board.. but you understand what I'm saying.). We are the only car in the drive thru. Because quite frankly, most people have already given up on this place by this time. We pay for the order and get the receipt. They hand us the bag and one drink. Ummm.. We ordered a number 6 and number 3. We are missing the number 3. The employee looks at us with a blank expression on his face. If I didn't know better, I would guess he was baked out of his gourd. But that isn't possible right?Because the good employees of Del Taco would never light up while working. Right? So after a stupidly long back and forth conversation, he decides he rang the order up wrong. Yes he charged us for two combos (and gave us one), but he also punched in the wrong combo numbers. He overcharged us by $1.50. So he cancels / refunds our order. He enters the order again. And once again he screws it up. The price is exactly the same as the previous order. You know.. the one he said he overcharged us. Now we are looking for the hidden cameras. This is a prank right? Where is Ashton Kutchner? Nope. The employee messed it up again. In the exact same way. But we don't care now. Keep the extra $1.50. Just please give us our second burrito, fries and Sprite please. We are handed the second burrito, small fries (not large like we ordered but we don't care at this point, and a Sprite. Finally. Mission accomplished.. We wave goodbye to the Del Taco employee with the bloodshot eyes and blank expression and head home. Upon arriving home I discover my beef and cheese burrito is not a beef and cheese burrito. It is a bean burrito. And I do mean beans. And only beans. Whomever prepared it did not understand how to wrap a burrito. It looked like a disgusting mass of grossness. I was starving at this point. I didn't care. I ate about half. Threw the rest away. The fries were gross too. Stale. I almost chipped a tooth on one. On the positive side the Sprite was good. Is this the end of my story? Nope. About an hour after eating the stale fry and half of the burrito.. I noticed something happening. My stomach was gurgling. Talking to me. "Denver buddy.. what did you do to me?" "Denver.. something bad is going on here and I am not happy with you." I tried to explain to my stomach it really wasn't my fault. But he was not buying it. "Denver you moron.. Del Taco messed the orders up 7 out of the last 10 times, are you stupid?" I had no defense. Yes.. I am stupid. My stomach took it's rage out on me. I threw up. And threw up. And up. And up. Until 3:30 am the next morning. I'm not saying it was the gross bean burrito that I didn't order but received anyway, but well... maybe I am. So this my friends is the end of my family's relationship with Del Taco. After a ten year up and mostly down journey with DT, we have filed for divorce. Food: Decent for fast food and for the price Service: Inconsistent customer service I'm not sure if this location is a corporate unit or a franchise, but the general manager or owner should really insist that the staff learn and practice proper customer service. Hey, it's simple, think of the Golden Rule. Most of the time I use their drive-through, but when I dine in I often find that the tables are not clean. Food on the table or on the seats. Ordered Epic Guac Chicken Burrito & 8 Layer Burrito. Quality was not very good. The Chicken Burrito was dry and there was a lot of vegetables in it. Went in a few weeks later and placed an order for fish taco meal. Got the meal in reasonble time. The fries were okay but the fish tacos are crap. The front doors are always filthy, I used a kleenex to open the door. All the tables were dirty (no exaggeration). The apholstery on the back of the banquettes is in terrible shape and the seats themselves need cleaning. This location hasn't used a protective placement on the trays for many months. It just doesn't feel sanitary. My burrito was wrapped in such a way that stuff was falling out both ends. The fries were cold and very few of them. The kid's playground has been closed for many months. The drive through seems to get more urgent attention than walk ins. Why shoud I continue my patronage? After years of Del Taco devotion, this place consistently produces the most unhappy or rude personnel, and consequently the most inconsistent food.. I returned this week after waiting a full year hoping things would be better than the previous visit. After ordering, paying, and waiting in the dining room, the man who ordered before me remarked it had been a long time.. The we watched the apparent manager throw away a whole order in anger aimed at the staff.. The she threw away the next order apparently destined for the drive through... Then more displeasure with the staff, not teaching, far more negative... I felt bad for the staff, and left without the good I had paid for... If there were a minus rating this place would get it... 1) Previously and on different occasions: 2) food temperatures not legal or safe 3) Staff saying Fu to a customer and management seemed ok with it. 4) Stingy side order egg portion guaranteed by serving then in an individual salsa container! A lot has changed here at the del Taco in Prescott Valley over the last few months and for the better I might add. Their drive-thru time has decreased significantly and their wait time inside the dining room is also decreased. The team seems to be very unified and enjoys what they're doing. The place is a lot cleaner than it was in the past as well. All in all I enjoy coming here and we'll continue to come here as long as they treat me the way they do they are awesome here. read more

The service here was BEYOND excellent. We came here specifically for the BEYOND MEAT and were wowed. We ordered the BEYOND avocado taco combo. Both the soft taco and the crunchy taco were yummy. We also wanted a BEYOND MEAT burrito and the staff member did a great job recommending how to customize the carne asada burrito with BEYOND MEAT. it was bomb-diggity!!! I don't really have many standards for a national-scale fast food joint. But this is insane. I ordered the epic beyond guacamole burrito combo. No subs or add-ons. Manager on duty was giving a public dressing down to at least 3 employees at once, in plain view and hearing of customers. Language he used was talking down to employees, borderline verbal abuse. Customers waited while this went on at least 10 min, stopped and started back up. Highly unprofessional way for a manager to treat employees or to represent Del Taco as a brand. Employee coaching should at the very least happen in private, and definitely not be full of sarcastic demeaning language. Didn't see names, but manager was a blond man, likely in his 20s or 30s. I've eaten at several Del Tacos across the country (mostly in SoCal), and this location, by far, is the worst ever. Too long waiting in the drive-thru and the food was terrible. Last time I went there (and will be my LAST time going to this location) I waited 10 minutes in the drive-thru to place my order, then another 10 minutes before it was ready. The beans in the burrito were cold, and the other items tasted old. I actually had to throw away a couple of 7-layer burritos, because they were that bad. It has to be an owner/ management issue, as the Del Tacos in SoCal were always fast, and the food was hot and delicious. Del Taco corporate needs to look into this location. read more

Why does it take 10 mins to wait in line to order our food in the drive through line , then another 10 to get our food? As per other reviews the order time for drive up is way to long for fast food. Finally received our food and they have only one person making the food and one taking orders so this is the reason why!!! My order took over 2 hours to be delivered when it could have been as quick as 20 minutes. I asked the delivery driver to ring the doorbell, but it was left outside on a cold night for almost 10 minutes before I realized it had been delivered.
