I understand that there might be longer waits than usual when ordering from the drive thru but last night was ridiculous. I sat at the menu waiting to order for 5 minutes. After ordering it took another 10 minutes to get to the window even after the two cars in front of me left without getting their food. I ish you not, I finally got my food after 20 minutes of waiting only to realize my whole order was wrong. It seemed that there's was only one girl running the whole shift. I hope that's not the case regardless it was a complete disaster from start to finish and yes I ended up throwing my food in the trash. read more

This is a great del taco location on the way to CSULB. Although I don't go to this location AS often, it definitely fulfills those late night del taco cravings we all get (even if some of us mistake those feelings of longing for the dreaded [rhymes with] raco rell). Spacious on the inside, friendly staff, quick service, and last I checked had the digital soda machines where you can mix and match like 30 different drinks. Not too shabby. I also get the chicken soft tacos when I come here, and have yet to be disappointed (their BRC offering is pretty on-point as well). Be sure to always go BOLD on whatever you order--this automatically adds extra fries and secret sauce for a few extra pennies. Worried it'll add up? Fill out the survey on the receipt and get a dollar off those two entrees you just went BOLD on. The absolute worst service imaginable. I ordered delivery and the driver delivered it to the wrong house, if he delivered it at all. The delivery service was Door Dash. On the online receipt it stated if you have a problem with your order to contact the store which is what I did. I talked to the manager and told her I wanted them to either re-deliver it or give me my money back. She refused to do either telling I needed to come pick it up. I'm a senior and can't drive so there's no way I could get there. If I could I wouldn't of had it delivered. She was extremely rude. I will never eat at Del Taco again and I'm calling my credit card company to see if I can get a stop payment and I'm also calling Del Taco Corporate tomorrow to complain to get that woman fired! read more

Let me start off by saying I love your fish tacos...so I'm really sorry we will NOT EVER BE BACK. I asked my husband to pick up food last night. He came home with a Sprite with no flavor - just soda water, and only one order of fries when he had ordered three. I know some people will think, well why didn't he check his order? Who does that when there are 10 cars behind you? Anyhow, I sent him back tonight for more fish tacos...which are great once again, but even after he very lightly complained about the problem last night he arrived home with the most ridiculous ground beef tacos with hardly anything on them and again...only one order of fries when he ordered three! Usually I love this place. The burritos never fail. The fish tacos do though. This place is always my favorite Del Taco and it blows T Bell out of the water, but sometimes they serve the most rank fish in those puppies. Also they straight up crammed more (tarter?) mystery sauce than fish on those johns so the mouth feel was awful. I get that it's fast food and usually it's 5 stars but tonight made me hella sad man. This is now my favorite Del Taco. I have a chicken taco and a red burrito each morning with extra sauce and they make it perfectly each time. They don't seem to charge extra like some del tacos but the sales tax in Long Beach is a little higher. read more

Of course I decided to push my luck and I ordered 2 chicken soft tacos with No Secret Sauce -- Sure Can was the answer. The drive-thru is usually busy, so if you want, stop being lazy and go inside and order because it is always empty in there! Filling, huge bean burritos (ie. lunch) for 99 cents a pop? I can't beat that for a deal. The food is good and filling and the service here is great for fast food. The food comes up quickly and you can watch it being made while you wait. They seem to have one person dedicated to cleaning (bathrooms, floors, tables, counters) and that's all she does which means this place is pretty decent. They are always happy to make "special order" burritos for my preschooler (1/2 beans, 1/2 cheese, no sauce) and she also leaves full. Knowing that they have lard free beans is great for my peace of mind. The only down side of this place is the location.... they share a parking lot with Starbucks, a frozen yogurt place, a pizza place, and I think another fast food place. Parking is usually at a premium here. There are also a lot of questionable people that seem to congregate here (and while I haven't ever had a problem or anything, it's a little uncomfortable at times....). I used to totally trust this Del Taco location. And their service has always been great. But I was given the wrong order in the drive thru. I drove thru again. And they made what I ordered. And gave me back the extra money I was charged for the guys order in front or behind me. Got home and took a bite out of my tostada. It tasted fishy. And I don't eat any kind of meat. Hmmmm..which inexpensive taco is better? Taco Bell or Del taco? If you ask a 12 year old, most will pick TB. They can't articulate why, but just think it's better. When it comes down food quality- Del cooks their own beans from scratch, TB beans are dehydrated tech marvels. Can you really tell the difference? I am guilty of using both of these cheap eats brands, occasionally. Usually an occasion of convenience, strapped for time. They do deliver on flavor and quick service, so as far as meeting expectations del taco does a decent job. I do like their green sauce in a bean and cheese burrito now and then but don't trust them enough to get their shredded beef or carnitas. Crunchtada is not so much crunch, more like stale cardboard. Sorry Del Taco, you missed the boat on this one. My item had beef only on one side, the other side was beefless. The tostada shell was chipped off and while it was crunchy around the edges, the middle (80% of it) was like tough cardboard. The food at this Del Taco is ok, but it is not always a great place to visit. there is almost always a somewhat slow line for the drive through, and there are plenty of places to sit inside but there is usually no place to park in the lot. On a few occasions, I have not gotten the right order from the drive through, and the folks inside will correct it, but it comes with a lot of attitude. There seems to be a lot of employees standing around with not enough to do, which makes me wonder why it is so hard to get the orders right. read more

I like the fact that Taco Bell is right across the street! Del Taco is way better than Taco Bell by a large margin. Just went through the drive thru. 1. Failed to mention the deal: get a free medium drink with an epic burrito 2. When asked at the window, the guy hesitated with the answer, but said "yeah" 3. Just handed us a Coke. 4. We wanted sprite, but he failed to even ask. 5. We asked for inferno sauce. 6. We got nothing BUT mild sauce. I would say they have improved a lot on their food. I had a chose Del taco or Taco Bell. I had heard that they change the way they make the food and it shows. Now if I went to taco bell it would of be the same cat food as alway it really got to the dogs as they say or cats lol. However this was a surprise to be as good as they are now for fast food there fast as well before I even got my drink my food was ready.
