Easy, in a pinch. Just wanted to have something in the hotel fridge should we get peckish after NYE celebrations. Basic turkey on white with provolone. That's it nada mas. Inside looks like I remember Jersey Mike's looking, sort of a R,W&B east coast boardwalk theme, and assembly line sub making with fresh sliced meat and cheese. Service was quick, sandwich made right. Here's oooooone little annoying thing. Since I haven't been to a JMike's in a minute, I didn't remember what the sizes indicated. We originally went "Medium" to share, thinking it would be 8-10", cut in half, a simple midnight Scooby snack for each. When the bread was sliced, I realized the "Medium" would actually be 1/2 the "Large", we changed our minds. But it wasn't just grab the other half of the white bread and make it equal 1 large, he reached back and grabbed a NEW white bread loaf. I felt HORRIBLE!!!! Why waste that bread???? He said it was the policy. Ugh! I was I had thought to ask ahead of time. But here's the kicker: Hubs noticed after the laid the meat and cheese down and passed it over to the next guy to wrap, that guy cut it into FOUR sections! Again WHY THE WASTE??? My mom came to Jersey Mike's this morning to order a turkey sandwich. When I asked what bread was available, the employee was unhelpful and rude. He told me they didn't have any 6-inch bread or turkey available, but the way he communicated it was dismissive and unprofessional. I asked to speak with the manager, and he said that he was the manager. After I left, he locked the door when I told him I would be contacting a supervisor. I later called the store and spoke to the manager, but they were just as unhelpful. Today June 26, I went at approximately 11:30 A M. I ordered the # 7 (the clerk was not friendly) I told her the bread I wanted when she cut it she placed it on a receipt that was on the counter where a paper receipt should have never been there. I told the clerk that the bread should not be on that receipt. Very nonchalant she moved the bread. I then told her cancel order, and as I was walking towards the door she yelled out have a good day. Haven't been here in about 3-4 months just because that last few times the service and the taste of the sandwich's kept me away. So I decided let's give them another shot. Boy was I surprised on how delicious everything came out we got the classic cheesesteak sandwich. That could have used a little more flavor but was still really good. Got the Italian sandwich that was delicious and the capacola is not over spicy and they followed the request on adding mayo that is appreciated. Promptly placed my order online (had enough points for two subs) for pick up and was ready very quickly! Parking can be kinda tight; however, it was not a problem as it was a late Sunday morning and not alot of customers. Employee whom I picked the sandwiches up from was very friendly and efficient. I have the jersey mikes app and I get promo codes every week and use them. My wife went with a promo code and the employee told her their register can't take those codes, only the new ones can. I was there on Friday and was able to use a code from the app. The staff is either incompetent or liars. Contacted management after food was forgotten. Manager was extremely rude. It was extremely difficult to reach anyone at corporate. Once the district manager finally contacted me March 13 I was told coupons would be sent out that day. When I contacted him again on the 19th was told they were just mailed on Tuesday after still not receiving them On March 24 I now get no answer. I tried explaining to the kid which wouldn't give me his name (he was preparing sandwiches) but chose to ignore me. The taller employee at the register was trying to explain that he's not familiar with Yelp which is understandable. I asked if the kid that was dismissive was the manager and I was told "no." I went to In n Out for a burger, the line was out the door and I don't do drive throughs (especially that long.) So across the parking lot was Jersey Mikes. I've been to a Jersey Mikes many times as it was a good lunch spot in Irvine when I worked in that area. There was one guy in line in front of me, he was taken care of and then the guy behind the counter made a Turkey and Provolone for me. I was rung up, left a tip and went to sit down when I heard "we're closed, you can't sit here!" from behind me. It wasn't the guy who made the sandwich, it was another employee. I've been treated this way before as have many customers these days. Certain members of the staff think that we, the customers, are simply a pain in the ass. I dropped the sandwich on the counter and walked out steaming. I got in my car and the time on my watch was 9:00 PM on the dot. No one said anything about closing when I went in. Will I be back? I hit the Jersey Mike's in the Long Beach Marketplace at least twice a month, I am a sucker for the #13 original Italian. The employees are always friendly and greet you when you walk in the door and usually move you along quickly. I always get mayo on my bread as well as the "Mike's Way" with the red wine vinegar and olive oil and herbs. For some reason I love that flavor combo. The sandwich maker is always friendly and asks questions while he's slicing the meats and the last time I was there, he even took extra time to scoop up the lettuce that had fallen off my sandwich and carefully pack it back on. Their portions to price to flavor ratio is insanely accurate and reasonable. My boyfriend also likes to get the mini sub with turkey and provolone. My only concern is the sanitary conditions of the board that the sandwich is made on because I wish it wasn't yellow and was cleaned a bit better. I stopped in this location on April 7 after picking up my husband from the airport. Canes was busy, Chick fila was busy. We wanted a quick bite to eat. We arrived at Jimmy John's and they had just locked their doors they closed at 8. We then found Jersey Mikes and the sign on the window says it's open until 9! We walked in and all the chairs were on top of the tables. We asked if they were open. The employee said only for take out. So we were hungry and could not take it home, as home was 1 hour away, in Chino and did not want to eat in the car. Pretty disappointed and let down. I love this Jersey Mike's. I come at least once a week to get a turkey and provolone. I have a fish allergy so to be safe I don't have them cut my sandwich. Tonight it was busy and the gentleman behind the counter cut my sandwich super fast before I could ask them not too. I mentioned I don't have them cut it because of my allergy. Even though he was positive no one had ordered tuna he still said he would rather be safe and remade my sandwich. It might sound silly but bringing up my food allergies gives me terrible anxiety because so many restaurants get super annoyed by the inconvenience so for them to happily remake my sandwich really meant a lot.
