We came through the drive through around 2:30am. They didn't give us all of our order. We were charged about $40 and they only gave us a few snack tacos. When we tried to call they wouldn't answer so I went back to the store and they said they threw our food away and to just come back tomorrow. It has been a long time since I have been to a Del Taco. Man that menu is as good as it looks. I selected the Breakfast Burrito with egg & cheese, and freshly grilled carne asada steak. You'd think there would be just a hit of the grilled carne asada steak. Oh no, there was so much I could barely finish it and the last bite was every bit as delicious as the first. From the moment I drove up to the drive thru the service was awesome. My drink was waiting as I pulled up and my order was there shortly after that. Because this burrito is only made after it's ordered you do have to wait a minute or two, but man is it worth it. Staff was EXTREMELY rude. My dad who's a bit older asked her if she could give him hot sauce and she actually rolled her eyes and audibly groaned. I went to my local Del Taco at Park Meadows because they were running their Tuesday Taco Night special where you can get 3 tacos for 1 low price ($1.16). They advertise this in their application, show 3 tacos in their advertisement and a price ($1.16) to order them. I ordered 6 Tuesday Taco Night special expecting to get 18 tacos as pictured. I show up to the restaurant to pick up my order and they only have 6 tacos. I told the manager that I was missing 12 tacos and he proceeded to tell me "Ha ha, you didn't read the small print did you. You have to pay individually per taco and you are screwed." I told the manager that this was completely unacceptable and requested my full 18 tacos ordered or to refund my money. The manager refused to give me the additional tacos and also refused to give me a refund telling me to request in the application. I spent the next 10 minutes asking the manager to show me where I request a refund and he could not find it. Eventually, he gave up and then worked on my refund. No apology for the run around, no apology for the false advertising, no apology for the inconvenience. Well, I hope it was worth it. I am now filing a false advertisement to the Federal Trade Commission and hoping the company is penalized for this poor behavior. It has been a long time before I got a bait and switch but Del Taco is live and well trying to pull this off on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I made an inside order and I should have just accepted how bad the service is there. I forgot to order a few tacos and went through the drive-thru. Poor, poor, poor customer service. When you've had a bit to drink and just need something to coat your tummy, Del Taco is it. Open when no one else was (24 hours to be exact) we came through the drive-thru late and ordered way too many things. What, you ask? I apparently have one picture and that's of the Carne Asada Fries which, for a late night fast food run, was pretty tasty. Other than that, I don't really recall what was eaten but I remember loving every bite of it. They have the usual tacos, nachos, burritos, and whole meals called Platos that come with the whole 9: burrito, rice, beans, chips for example. Visited Del Taco today after ages of not having it. I ordered cheap $1 items. Brief review: Get the bean tostada for a huge cheap and tasty item. Proceed with caution in all else. 1. $1 Tea: (didn't realize it was unsweetened but that's on me) It tastes normal and fresh not "old and gross" like some places. 2. $1 (crunchy)Taco: veeeery different from Taco Bell. The shell was lighter and crunchier which I liked. It also had more cheese than TB. But the meat.... I don't know if I liked it. It tasted exactly like the interior meat in the Hormel Canned Tamales my mom used to make in the 80's/90's. 3. $1 Chipotle Chicken Roller: this was gross. Very little filling, mostly meh quality flour tortilla and very weird "gross and fatty" low quality highly processed chicken. The bites of chicken that weren't all soft and fatty actually had a decent flavor though. If you're picky about meat quality do NOT choose this. If they're using the same chicken meat in this as everything else on the menu, take note. 4.) $1 Tostada (aka Crunchtada): woah this was delicious. And a huge beast. Probably the most food a person can get for a single dollar now that McDouble is higher priced. I couldn't eat it all it was so big. The beans were very generously portioned and had a nicer flavor than almost anything else. They almost tasted like a Mexican restaurant beans not fast food at all. Loads of cheese on top and some lettuce and sauce. I would come back for this if I'm craving a tostada or trying to budget tightly. Customer service was super fast and effective. I asked for four hot sauces and got... 4 friggin hot sauces. Thank you!!!! I despise being given 800 sauce packets when I ask for a specific amount. This was a first-ever visit prompted by growling stomachs while running errands. Looking at other fast options near where I was, I wasn't wanting the same stuff we might usually turn to. This location often has at least a couple cars in line, which seemed promising. My teens and I were impressed. We had a mix of quesadillas, basic tacos and bean burritos, figuring we'd pick basics for our first try. It wasn't amazing, but it was also solid; nicer than Taco Bell for sure, but still fast(er) food. We enjoyed it and plan to stop by again. read more

I came in specifically to try the "Beyond Meat" vegan taco they sell here. I typically don't eat at Del Taco but I had to try this. I order it in a meal as a soft taco and I dined in. I LOVE the sauces at the table, what a brilliant idea. The employees were very nice and all seemed to be working really hard. The tacos were pretty delicious and VERY filing. Don't know what Del Taco is? Well, it is Taco Bell only better. Look I am not going to kid you and tell you it is the best fast food Mexican on the planet, because it just isn't, but it is good stuff if you are in a run. I am partial to the big fat chicken tacos and their breakfast burritos. They also have tacos with corn tortillas and even burgers and fries if you feel like mixing it up. I also like that they seem to make things fresh - no a bunch of stuff under a warming light for hours. There is a taco bell across the street on this block and I never go there and always go here. We were so excited due to the ratings on yelp that this place would be awesome. We have never been to a del taco before. Sadly for those in search of the ultimate mexican fast food joint, this was an utter disappointment. Del Taco is a Taco Bell that has been Americanized. we should have known better when we saw that that the combo meals come with crinkle cut fries. Still we gave it a try and I had the original beer battered fish tacos which were a sad statement of fabricated tortillas with fish that was not tender and fresh and the sauce was like a mayonnaise sauce with no flavor. The best fish tacos I have had are Berryhill's and they cost the same price. We also tried meal #9 which comes with a beef burrito and classic taco. After sampling this and the salsa packets I would say I would rather go to Taco bell. The people at the counter were fast and nice though. read more

Del Taco is beautiful. The building reminds me of Mexico with vibrant colors and beautiful Latin design. The closer I got to the drive-thru window, I slowly increased the volume of Enrique Iglesias on my car stereo. As I ordered my food, I was transported, as if by magic, to the Mexico I experienced on my Spring Breaks. I was a bit sad the friendly staff did not speak Spanish, as I would expect, but their genial attitudes more than made up for disrupting my Mexican emission. I was sadly briefly reminded I was not in mexico, but in Colorado, and my heart twanged, briefly ... but I recovered and placed my order ... in English. As I received my Del Beef Burrito, Soft Chicken Tacos, and Mini Quesadilla, the delicious smells immediately calmed me. I entered a tranquil state. I do not know how I managed to drive home, as my food soul left my body and was traveling in the astral plane. When I arrived home, the food was gone, and my belly was full. I do not remember eating the food, as what happens on the astral Mexican plane can not be remembered by mortals. I was satisfied. The next day I did not have Diarrhea, but solid nice bowel movements. Thank you Del Taco for transporting me to the Mexican Astral Plane where I consumed your delicious food, and I had nice poops after. Then I ordered a double Del cheeseburger and before I could finish my sentence the guy cut me off and said "that it?". I paid. I didn't get a receipt and then when I got home I ended up with some cold chicken and fries and not the burger I ordered. The thing is, this is supposed to suck. A corporate taco chain with no style, no verve and rubbery, artificial ingredients. OH WAIT, that's Taco Bell..... Del Taco stuns with its fresh tastiness. I don't want to like this place! Especially on Yelp, where its cool to be different and shop independent food carts while wearing sandals in the snow and a T-Shirt with some slogan rooting for a cause no one has ever heard of., i.e., "SAVE THE CHILDREN OF UMQUA!" But back to Del Taco. Its good. Delicious well spiced meat, really crunchy lettuce, the hot sauce will kick you in the orbs, and even the shells taste fresh and like real corn. I wonder sometimes if some taco shells are literally made on a copy machine with speckled 80# paper. Blue corn tacos? Just change paper trays. K, time for another positive review. People must think all I eat is fast food or "quick" food by now. It's not true; I do venture out to eat nice places, it just doesn't seem to occur anywhere close as often as hitting a place on the run. That's why I am delighted to find a Del Taco fairly close to my soon-to-be new residence. My new residence is nowhere near this location, in fact my review, like Caroline's, is for the Del Taco at 11555 E Arapahoe Place in Centennial, but Yelp won't let me add it, as well. You could pretty much go to any Del Taco though that I have seen and they'll give you at the very least *good* service -- and usually, it's *great* service. Sho G's review is dead on. Their beef isn't nasty, they use fresh veggies. Not much tastes like it came out of a can. Their "Macho Burritos" are the size of a nuclear submarine. (Note: you're looking at a bucketful of carbs doing this -- if that is a concern, you might want to bite open one end and then suck the innards out like some kind of cheese-and-beef starved vampire) They serve fries here, it is true -- and if you order the Macho size, in a large cup, no less -- BUT...it's *CRINKLE FRIES*...AND...they are CRISPLY cooked. Not half-warmed-up raw potato. Very lightly salted, but you can ask for more if needed. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, combo meals, breakfasts, desserts (mmm churros), a MOUNTAIN of a taco salad, and better burgers than I have seen at some large-chain burger joints. The food here is very good, and fresh -- juuuust leaves you teetering on feeling sinful at glutting out on it. And the service always seems quick, always seems interested in delivering a quality product and most of the time seems happy that you drove up or stopped in. Find that at Taco Hell -- not likely. Let's not quibble about this -- it *is* fast food. But there are definitely different strata of fast food places, and Del Taco isn't among the bottom-feeding suckers -- it's in the top tier for "fast food" Mexican. This review is for the Del Taco at 11555 E Arapahoe Pl (Yelp isn't letting me add it as a business for some reason). I'd never eaten at DT before, so when it was described to me as "a bit like Taco Bell," I walked in with low expectations, and a pissed-off expression on my face. While I love Mexican food, I really dislike fast-food Mexican places as the menu is usually massive, I'm not completely familiar with everything on the menu, and I always feel rushed to make my choice as soon as possible. The first time we went, it was lunchtime and the place was especially busy, so I decided on the Fish Taco combo as soon as I saw it. He chose the Macho Burrito combo, plus a taco. The food materialized within seconds, and I was surprised by how hot and fresh-tasting it was. I don't like corn tortillas much but the fish was crispy, lightly battered and nicely complemented by the white sauce and fresh lime juice. I was thrown a bit by the accompanying fries but they too were really decent. I didn't ask how his meal was but it was gone in a few minutes so I'm guessing it was acceptable. We walked out with happy tummies for a mere $13.11! A week later we were passing by, and I decided to try a cheeseburger combo, while he ordered a couple of tacos and a quesadilla.
