Service! Worst service! Marcus, if that is his real name, was terrible. We always tip 25-30%, I am sisnt wmat top tip 10%. He didn't deserve any, We had to ask for water, salsa, rounds of drinks, a knife (which was never delivered) . We ordered tableside guac, he said it would be 10-15 minutes before he could do it. I knew he didn't want to do I did a time check, and 23 minutes later, no tableside guac, Marcus was often not seen at his other tables nor on the floor during this time, one might say he was missing in action. He had plenty of coworkers standings in the back area in front of the soda dispenser. He came to our table at 25 after and said it would be another 10-15 minutes before he could start the guac, and did we want it. 45 minutes for tableside quac? No. The tableside guac cart did not move the entire time we were thereabd one guy used it one time to make quac and then took it to a table I could not see. If you know Los Dos, that cart never collects dust, they are know for thier tableside guac; it is normally always in service. PATHETIC!!!! None of us will ever be back. We may not patronize the original location at Holly or Kipling and C470 again. This is NOT the Los Dos the family started years ago and that we fell in love with. Sad and pathetic! I heard they have a new bartender at the Holly location and the margaritas are aweful. Go to Caddy Snack Cantina, great service, food, drinks, and much better prices. Los dos potrillos overall is a solid Mexican restaurant that you can visit. I will say depending on which location can slightly make one better than the other. We usually visit the parker Los Dos Potrillos, but this time we tried the original location. Our go to dish is the molcajete with the spiciest sauce. It is a solid dish, but for some reason, this visit, the dish dish not hit the craving per usual. Due to picking the spiciest sauce, they informed us at this location that the sauce would be on the side. I wish it wasn't because the sauce simmering makes a huge difference. The carne Asada fries was alright. I wish the meat was seasoned a little more, but it isn't the worst and better than a mid carne asada fries. I can share that I may just be spoiled from the fries I am used to from San Diego. I know because this location is the first, the restaurant is a little darker than the other locations and homey. It may be more authentic as being in a restaurant in Mexico. Personally, I love Los dos but I have a preference of going to the parker location. First time coming to this location, and I've got to say, it was a much better overall experience than the one I had at the Castle Rock location after they opened. We showed up for an early lunch and were seated right away. I ordered the combination fajitas, and my friend had a beef burrito. Drinks and chips/salsa came out fast. Our lunches came out soon thereafter. I could hear my fajitas sizzling...that's how they should be...sizzling on a scalding skillet, not served hot on a plate. Beef and chicken were very good. Tortillas are delicious. Lots of peppers and onions with really good flavor too. You could tell it was all cooked together, not separate and then assembled at the end. My wife and I met a friend for an early dinner. My wife ordered 2 ala carte Enchiladas and I ordered the #20 2-chili Rellano dinner. Her enchiladas were excellent and near the best ever. High praise for my favorite enchilada diner! My Rellanos were excellent ... not quite exceptional. I like the way the Rio Grande does their Rellanos with fresh Serrano peppers then batter fried. To start, this is my Favorite restaurant chain in CO! This was my first time at THIS location and the service was a little disappointing compared to the Parker location. Never refilled chips and didn't ask if we wanted refills. After asking for more chips 3x, I had to get a little snippy and once I did, the service improved. This Los Dos location has the mom and pop Mexican feel which I love! When you walk in it's like walking straight into Mexico. I didn't see the tortilla making station but I might have missed it. Food is AMAZING! Some of the best queso in town. Skinny Margs are THE BEST. It's pricy but definitely worth it. Parking here is terrible. read more

I've been going to Los Dos since before there were bazillion locations. Always loved it. There are so many Mexican restaurants in the area we took a break to try others. Ordered take out last night and won't ever be back. EVERYTHING was bland. Street tacos, ceviche, shredded beef burrito, and the worst tamale plate ever. Masa was dry, crumbly and just gross. Spent $150 for takeout for 5 people. It was finally ready 20 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. Stupidly, I included a tip before I picked up the food. It was a busy Friday night, so no fun waiting for my food to be ready. I get they are busy and can't control some things, but I ordered off their takeout system. If it doesn't work properly, use a different one. In any case, the food was awful anyway and wasn't even worth 1/3 of what I paid. Bye Los Dos. Even Sams clubs premade street tacos are better. read more

We met the in-laws here for a late dinner around 8 pm on a Wednesday & were seated immediately but by no means were alone - there were still plenty of full tables & parties walking in. To our surprise, there was a live mariachi band playing until around 9 pm. Very authentic vibes & atmosphere, but beware... it can get LOUD! We ordered the tableside guacamole & were very impressed by the presentation & freshness, with your server hand making your guacamole at your table. I ordered the stuffed sopaipilla for my entree & had absolutely no trouble making it vegetarian as they offer black beans & vege green chile. The chile was a little watery which turned my sopaipilla a little mushy, but overall I very much enjoyed the taste of my food. The portion sizes are huge, & they continue to offer free refills of chips & salsa which is a plus since a lot of places charge for extras now. Prices were a little steep, but as mentioned the portions were huge so I have at least one more meal leftover. All in all, this is a great spot with plenty of options for all. read more

What can I say about this wonderful restaurant that hasn't already been said. Any of the locations will knock it out of the park. We come here for our comfort Mexican food. Everything is good. I don't think you can go wrong. They have mariachi also on some nights. Be careful because this place gets packed quickly. This place is already a landmark in the community. This place screams authentic Mexican food. It does get loud because of the packed restaurant but you can find times where it's not 100% full.... Just don't come at 6 because you're going to wait. We ordered take out on a cold night recently and I wanted to explain how superior Los Dos is to other places that have take out. Don't get me wrong I would rather eat at a restaurant but when your kid has soccer practice and it's dark outside, you just need to take the food to go and move on. They package everything so well. You won't have an item spilling or escaping. They quality check every bag and you can see the name of who checked it. They seal up all the extras, give you napkins, sides of salsa, warm chips. The service was excellent, I wish the food would have been. Unfortunately the food here is underwhelming. I ordered a huge combo plate to try everything thinking I would take it to-go and eat the leftovers later. I didn't even want the leftovers. The beef taco and the bean tostada were both super bland and I put copious amounts of chalula on them to compensate. They were going to charge me $2.50 for a side of sour cream so I declined. The shredded beef in the tamale was tough and tasteless as well. The corn around the cheese enchilada was of bad texture and quality; think of what happens when you microwave a corn tortilla too long, that's it. On top of that, I was surprised to find a ton of lettuce on top of all of those dishes that typically don't even come with lettuce. It was just not a good food experience. This was my second time here. The QUESO is amazing though. I gave an extra star only for the Queso and the service. Likely won't be returning to this location. I may give another location one more to since it's reputation here is higher than this rating today. Also, the live music was going table to table. They were very good (and very loud). What a disappointment, Made a catering order for pickup at 4:OO PM today and nothing was ready. The staff had forgotten about the order and had to start once I showed up. I placed the order on Monday and paid in advance so there would not be a delay when picking it up. Wrong! I had 25 people waiting at our house to eat.. What a joke if they can't get it right they need to quit the catering side of the business. ok let me say. the first time I went here I was very disappointed, the service was soooo slow. They got my friends order wrong and didn't give a rip. We had to ask the host to help us and he was not happy about it. All the servers were eating at once. Like what are they thinking? We had zero service. It's a shame because I've gone to other locations and it was not like this. This last week we went to this location and, Wow! Eli, the new manager was amazing! I came here with a friend for a Thursday night dinner and the wait was 45 minutes for two. I do like their wait system where you can actually see where you are at on the list but the place is so packed there's barely anywhere to sit with your drink if you're waiting. Their skinny margaritas were quite good and I love how fresh the chips and salsa were. I got a combo to try the smothered green chili sauce on particular- it was good but quite light where some of the flavor got a bit lost. The ground beef taco was good and so was the enchilada. Service was fairly quick! Two tables down from us mid dinner the ceiling started pouring down water.
