Very beyond disappointed with this establishment after my first visit and review. I brought my 3 year old granddaughter and my family. I asked if I can purchase a bean and cheese burrito à la carte since they don't offer a kids menu and management said "NO" so instead I was forced to purchase an adult meal for a 3 year old. It's not about the money but the unnecessary wasted food. Won't be visiting this place until this gets addressed!!! Sad read more

Came thinking this would replace chipotle now that it's hit an all time low, I was wrong. This place speedran reasons to not return, and in 2-3 mins i decided i wasn't coming back before even trying the food. Ordered the $10 box, "any 2 tacos" "not those tho" ok? Nbd. Gets to end "drink?" "A soda" "can't do that, have to have a full sugar drink" "no drink, thanks" "$16.65" "sorry what? Board says $9.95 right there" "menu isn't accurate" (you're brand new fcol) 50% invisible hike alone would've been no-return, but this was strike 3. I honestly felt bad for the young guy (nervous, new hire vibes) trying to apologize for bad business practices of the owner. Paid, left, seriously considered just walking from the counter, but I regrettably paid instead. Food: watery and not great, chipotle quality is higher, and I say that as someone who aims to avoid chipotle at all cost Save your $ and your time. This place seems like it's going to be a great edition to Temecula! Decorated so cute inside with good music playing and friendly staff. The food was fresh, it's like a chipotle but with more authentic food. The meat was super flavorful and prepared really well. Homemade tortillas and friendly service. The horchata and Jamaica were delicious. The salad bar was clean and had great options. All the salsas were fresh and flavorful. I liked that they had fresh limes, onions, cilantro, carrots, and radish. I got the carne asada and al pastor burrito and it was awesome. Horrible Mexican food tbh. I had high hopes for this place since they don't use seed oils. I got the chicken tacos. The chicken isn't even grilled it's watery and when the guy put the chicken on my tacos the tortilla got soaked. The chicken is in huge chunks, way too big for a taco. It didn't even have grill marks, it looked boiled. The guac looks like they bought it from Albertsons. The salsa is subpar. Aztek has them beat by 100. Won't come back unless they actually make good Mexican food. read more

So my 2nd time around. Tried the PREMIUM "waygu" steak taco. Duhhhh, the owner needs to check in w/the supplier. Better still, fly to Japan and Texas for some REAL waygu steak and see what you think. Waygu steak is neither gristly, fatty nor is it chewy. I had sides of black beans and rice. They were both cold; lukewarm. Surprising as I know Le Crueset pots hold heat nicely. I cook in these at home. Should I return, not sure 3rd time will be a charm but definitely will NOT be trying the STEAK or BEEF of any kind here. Came here for lunch and was excited to try this new spot. The potato tacos were really good, super flavorful, crispy, and you can tell the tortillas are freshly made. Actual cafeteria food, in no way was this fresh, or authentic mexican food. The "guac"? Sour flavorless and old avocado soup. All the salsas tasted nasty, old, and watery. But the worst part? The burritos. The chicken tasted like rubber! No seasoning. Same thing with the asada. It's like the meat sat out for days! Temecula has good food and this is NOT the place to go. Leaving a 3 star review to be fair since I didn't actually get to try their food. Service has a lot of opportunity... We called before coming to verify that the restaurant could accommodate gluten free/safe food handling and were told absolutely and the person on the phone was elaborate and adamant about safety. When we came in the staff seemed to act confused about what gluten even was and even when we explained the phone call we got a flippant attitude. Management should educate employees about food safety and basic customer service. Anyone with food allergies or conditions should NOT feel safe here until the employees are educated. read more

My husband and I didn't care for the flavor of the carne asada (although it was tender) the aguas fresca aren't authentic seems like they use that powder mix. I was so excited to try this place ever since I seen the sign go up! So happy it's close to my house. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very inviting. Large eating area and very clean. The food was amazing! I had a breakfast burrito, chorizo and egg which was outstanding. I tried a sample of the cabeza meat, which was delicious, I will return and have tacos for sure! We tried the carne asada nachos, quesadilla, and steak burrito. The only things we enjoyed were the pineapple agua Frescas, lemonade, and chocolate chip cookie. Also really odd way of ordering. Everyone was confused where the line started. For my nachos, he told me they would come get me once they were ready and I would go back up and tell him the toppings I wanted. He was also writing our order down on the tiniest post it note. They also had no containers for salsa so we had to ask someone to get more. Clearly they're still trying to figure things out since they just opened and I would be forgiving with that if the quality of food was better, especially for $65 we paid for everything. The bathroom was an experience. The walls are covered with gorgeous wallpapers that will take your bathroom experience to a whole nother level. But you can't leave out the BLACK toilets! They were exquisite! The warmth and comfort they gave you compares with a hug from grandma. Next the food. You guys HAVE TO get the MAGIC BOX. For just 10 dollars you get either 2 tacos, 3 Magic burritos, or 2 cheese quesadillas with rice, beans, and a drink! The decor around the restaurant makes feel like your on a journey through Del Norte while eating your food. The people are so friendly here and made my experience that much better.
