Great location, beautiful inside, friendly employees, great potential. Food was good, pricing for two was about $40. We ordered 'the box' two tacos, beans and rice, came with your choice of horchata. Salsa bar is good, pick, salsas, hot carrots and pickled cucumbers. Tortillas are made fresh. This is a simple first time review, will need to try again, to get a better feel of the food options.

How on Earth... did anyone give this more than a one star? One star is for good portions... but the price matches it. Service was scattered. They asked us several times what we wanted in the loaded fries we ordered. Waited 20 minutes for a bean cup, but had tacos out first and they were cold by the time my family got their food. We ate chips and salsa ( chips were not free) because we were hungry... Oh and- borrow is NOT authentic. Their "birria" is boiled shredded beef with ZERO flavor, and my sons fries had CHUNKS of the birria ( see photo) NOT a repeat place. Full stop disappointment

Great Food, great vibes, authentic Mexican food that is way more authentic then Chipotle ever could be. They offer a variety of different proteins and choices. Their meats and veggies are fresh and off the grill. It's a big restaurant that just opened and the owners were extremely nice and helpful. The staff was nice, it has that hidden gem kind of vibe and I will be visiting whenever I pass aroudn here.

Stopped in to check out this new local spot. We were looking forward to try tbe food. Upon entry we were greeted by the staff. Menu if up above the ordering area, pretty straight forward. Went to order and they offered us complimentary taquitos. Those in our party that tried them said they were very bland and over cooked, the beef inside was hard. We ordered a few items: the chicken and carne tacos, nachos and a side of rice and beans with horchata and lemonade. The chicken taco was ok, seasoned a little bit, had to load up with some pico at the salsa bar. The carne one was my least favorite as the meat was flavorless and very chewy like it was all fat. The nachos were chips sprinkled with cheese kinda melted and the same flavorless meat. The rice and beans were ok as well. The horchata tasted very grainy and almost like it was from a package. The dining area was big and the decor was interesting ,lots to look at. We may go back to see if it was a fluke or to try the pork, maybe thats where the flavor is.

Food was amazing and staff was friendly. We came for breakfast and the quality of the carne asada on our chilaquiles was outstanding! Can't wait to try the other menu items! Also don't skip on the fresh squeezed orange juice!!! 10/10

Omg, you guys HAVE to hit up this place. The aesthetic is low-key immaculate. The food actually slaps, too; the meat is a total 10/10.

Updated review - just wanted to add a few more photos from my recent visit!…read more I seriously love this spot. Guadalajara never misses. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying - you can tell they put care into everything they serve. Portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable, especially for the quality you're getting. The service has always been friendly and quick, and the overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming. It's one of those places you can count on whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy a full meal. Definitely one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend!

This place has always been our go to Mexican restaurant when we come down here. We came on cinco de mayo which was busy and we had waited 20 minutes for a table which we expected. So we placed are order. Wife asked for the 2 taco special with no sour cream. I order the same thing with no cheese or sour cream. I did that cause I'm lactose intolerant. The waitress stated that they can't substitute? I'm not substituting anything. Just don't add it. The "manager" came over and said we can't substitute? I stated I'm not substituting anything, just don't want cheese or sour cream. He said since they're busy cause of cinco de mayo they can't do it which tells me they can't handle a large amount of customers and there food they make in the back there cooks are auto pilot and get devate from the normal operation. We have been here before and "NEVER" had a problem with the way we ordered but today was an issue which tells me things are difficult especially if busy. We will not be back cause it was just a simple request and they couldn't fulfill that. We went over to Rosa's and tortilla factory which is down the street and it was good and "much cheaper ". I will never recommend Guadalajara to anyone anymore cause they couldn't handle a simple request.

Yesterday was my second time at Espandín. Let's start off with the environment. Espandín is located…read morein Old Town Temecula and has a central location on the corner. With that being said, parking can be difficult because Old Town tends to get very busy on a Saturday. We walked in and it was not busy. The host/server told us to pick any table we would like. We chose outside, but they had just cleaned up the area, so our chairs were stacked. The host/server quickly helped us get the chairs down and place them at our table. The server was attentive and kept checking in on us. Now the food. When we were sat down, we were given complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were perfect and not overly salty or greasy. The salsa was very mild and had a great flavor. I ordered a 2 taco combo plate ($14.95) with carne asada and carnitas. The carne asada was just okay, it was cut into thicker piece, which is not my preference. It was also topped with guacamole, which was not the best I've had. The carnitas however were magnificent topped with pickled onions, cilantro, and salsa. The rice was not traditional Mexican rice and did have a bit of a crunch to it rather than a toast before cooking. The beans were just plain pinto beans, not refried beans, but they were good. While this place, is not extremely traditional, it is a great spot in Old Town Temecula with fairly good food. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

I noticed Espadín had tables and thought it was worth a shot. Also, it was getting really hot and I was ready for some air conditioning. We were seated immediately and our server got our drinks. We ordered a grilled Caesar salad, green chilaquiles with eggs, and guacamole. The guacamole was so fresh and had a great lime flavor. The grilled Caesar was the star of the show! The dressing was amazing. The chilaquiles were also good. I was a little nervous at first since they weren't busy when we walked in compared to the other restaurants on the street, but it ended up being a great surprise how good everything was!
