The best service I've ever had! I was visiting some friends in Hoboken for my birthday, and they told me we absolutely had to go to Del Frisco's. Now I see why! Immediately the vibe inside the restaurant is exactly what I want from a steakhouse: classy but not stuffy. We were so grateful to have George as our server, as he helped make our experience so memorable. I have a variety of food allergies, and George/the kitchen were so accommodating and made me feel 100% confident that I would be ok eating the food and I could just enjoy myself and not worry. The food was absolutely incredible! We all got steaks and lobster mashed potatoes (which was a first for me, but will not be my last), and everyone's meals came out fast, hot, and perfectly cooked. The drinks were also great; we highly recommend the VIP cocktail (George's suggestion for the table). They even brought out a dessert that accommodated my allergies without us asking, the perfect cherry on top of a special night/visit to Hoboken. I'm not sure if there is a Server of the Year award in Hoboken, but George would probably win it in a landslide! (He certainly would have my vote) read more

salad - i didnt want a traditional Caesar salad so i tried something else but was not very impressed; the flavor was alright and the bacon felt a bit extra; it didnt really blend well with the salad; i do appreciate that the sauce wasnt overwhelming nor too heavy though filet mignon - this was quite dry and tough; no hint of tenderness; when i made steak at home it was way better; it also just didnt have much flavor brownie fudge - i forgot what dessert i got but it's something along the lines of a fudge or brownie topped with vanilla ice cream; im a fan of the vanilla ice cream because it wasn't too sweet and it actually paired really well with the fudge so that it wouldn't feel too dense and heavy rating: 3/5 - you know it's not outstanding when your favorite dish was the dessert - appetizer and main were lacking and need great improvements - service was great though! My server was patient and i could tell she gave recommendations to the best of her ability - ambiance could borderline be sports bar vibe but definitely a bit more upscale than that IG: @nom.noms.only read more

We've dined at Del Frisco's in Hoboken several times and have always enjoyed the food and service, so unfortunately this visit was a little disappointing. We started with the Thai meatballs, which were extremely salty, and the presentation was not very appealing. We mentioned it to our waiter, who was very nice and told us he would have the manager come over. He followed up with us several times to see if the manager had stopped by, but unfortunately, she never did. The meatballs were ultimately removed from our bill, which we appreciated. Another disappointing moment was when our steaks were brought out without steak knives. We were told someone would bring them right over, but after about four to five minutes, we were still sitting there with our steaks in front of us unable to eat them. When our waiter came back to ask how everything was, we explained that we hadn't been able to try the steaks yet because we still didn't have knives. He apologized and immediately took care of it. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and we appreciated his efforts. However, for a restaurant we've enjoyed many times before, the overall experience and attention to detail just weren't at the level we've come to expect. Hopefully this was simply an off night. read more

Sadly, my opinion of the restaurant has completely changed. The service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter disappeared multiple times throughout the meal. We waited over 20 minutes just for drinks, and the bread and butter didn't arrive until after our entrees were served. We constantly had to ask other servers or the busboy to track him down because he was nowhere to be found. We had a party of seven, and our table ordered a variety of dishes including roasted chicken, braised short ribs, mahi-mahi, steak, burgers, salmon, and a lobster tail add-on. Honestly, the only standout items were the burgers and fries -- juicy, flavorful, filling, and actually enjoyable. Everything else fell flat. The salmon came with what can only be described as a child-sized portion of asparagus. My dad ordered a steak medium well, but it came out well done and without the garlic butter he paid an extra $7 for. He was also supposed to receive sweet potato fries with his steak, and they never came out at all. After sending the steak back, the replacement came out medium rare with a huge dollop of garlic butter thrown on top. I'm sorry, but I will never get over being charged $7 just for butter on a steak -- completely insane. The lobster tail add-on, which cost an additional $24, was severely overcooked to the point it could barely be removed from the shell. Another frustrating issue was that the restaurant would not allow substitutions for sides. If you wanted something different like mac and cheese or Brussels sprouts, it was an additional $15 per side. Also, please carefully review your check before paying. We were accidentally double charged for a $90 steak even though we only ordered one. To be fair, the manager did remove the charge immediately, but that is still a pretty major mistake. For the prices they charge, the quality of the food and service simply do not match. Since gratuity was automatically included for our party size, the waiter received nearly a $100 tip that honestly was not earned based on the level of service we received. The do take reservations but they fail to tell you if the menu will be limited. It was during our visit and that was extremely disappointing! Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of other places in the area to get a much better meal and overall experience. read more

Aaron is the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my life but he told me he was married and I realize I'm also married so I knew I couldn't do anything about this. But jokes aside he is very accommodating and got our drinks right even though we were kind of all over the place and didn't decide he knew when to come back to check in. We love him!!! See you soon Aaron!! read more

Went here for Valentine's Day and it was absolutely phenomenal. Not super busy, either. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the croutons were a bit stale. Other than that their food is a 10/10. You MUST get the cheesesteak eggrolls and the spinach dip. The flatbread that comes with the dip is so delicious. The cocktails were also very delicious. Our server was very attentive and kind, as well. If you're going to get the spinach dip, don't get the creamed spinach because it's basically the same thing. read more

Shout out to our server Abigail who made our dining experience amazing! Fast customer service and nice vibes. There was a piano player in the bar area which was nice touch. The onion soup was the highlight but the fish and chips stole the show. Oh and the chamomile tea( which I didn't even know they had) was my favorite! Can't wait to come back! read more

My fiance and I were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Del Frisco's. Our waiter, George, was wonderful. Our dinners were perfect. Zero points...worst brunch experience. Was greeted very politely at the front desk. We arrived at noon and they were only about six or seven other tables there by the time we got there. We were a party of 11. A young lady introduced herself to us and said she wasn't going to be our server but would help us get our drinks ready. They had a ad for a bloody Mary platter that served 2 to 4 people. We wanted to serve six so we asked if we could get one that would serve six and she recommended that we get two but said oh you want one that serves six. 25 minutes from when we ordered the board items started to show up - like small bottles of Tito's and four milk pictures of bloody Mary mix. We are now greeted by a male server who would ultimately be our server- clearly not experienced - a young kid and he thought we ordered six of the boards which, of course we didn't. Finally, two of the board showed up -it was 45 minutes from when we first ordered them. We then ordered 11 entrées. Nine adults and two children's. The two children's entrées were simply pancakes and they came out after about 40 minutes. It was another 20 minutes until four of the nine adult entries arrived. One was ice cold, and it was short rib with hollandaise sauce. Slowly, another four entrées were delivered. The remaining entrée which was another order of short ribs with hollandaise didn't arrive for an additional 10 minutes. All of the entrées with the exception of the seasonal pancakes were subpar. It's really unbelievable that the Frisco's could serve food like this and serve it so inefficiently. We arrived at noon. We were served after 1:30PM and we left around 2:15. The manager was told that some of the food was cold and about the delays and that food was returned to the kitchen and nothing was taken off the bill Really poorly managed restaurant. A well managed restaurant would've been all over this. read more

Plating is a bit poor for a steakhouse especially the Iceberg salad. It looked like they threw the ingredients together. Felt more like a chain rather than a restaurant. read more

A local favorite of ours. Solid food, friendly service, upscale atmosphere in a great location along the Hoboken waterfront. A standout at Del Frisco's is the rotating selection of wines by the glass which are always top shelf. This evening they had Austin Hope available which paired perfectly with steak frites. read more

Though I have been to Del Frisco's Grille several times over the past few years, it has been a while since my last review, so I think it would be wise to highlight my recent experience. We entered the restaurant on that Friday evening and were warmly greeted. We were escorted through the dining room to our table at the far end, right in front of the open kitchen. As much as the place had an upscale vibe, it still possessed an air of being a chain restaurant. Perhaps it was something with the cookie-cutter furniture or the lack of originality in the menu, but it was clear this was not an one-off destination. Regardless, we had always had pretty decent experiences there, and the steaks were a great occasional treat. As we were walking into the restaurant on that recent evening, I had noted that I had always been bothered by the fact that this steakhouse never served bread. Well, from my mouth to Chef's ears, because they started to finally provide a bread basket during the lengthy wait for our meal. Plus, it was not just any bread, but large pretzel breadsticks with some sort of sweet mustard butter. They were excellent and the perfect thing to take the edge off while we waited. While I enjoyed them with a glass of crisp Bisol Jeio Brut Prosecco from Italy (one of my favorites), my companion had the Blood Orange Sidecar made with Branson V.S. Cognac, Grand Marnier, fresh lemon juice, and a blood orange-guava "barmalade". I took a sip of the pinkish martini and found it artificially sweet and just awful, though he managed to finish it. However, he later switched to a Woodford Manhattan, while I went with their Hazelnut Espresso Martini, which I found to be one of the best I have had. They mixed Ketel One Vodka, Caffè Borghetti, hazelnut, and espresso into a blend that was somehow also a bit creamy and tasted like a milkshake. It was heavenly! In terms of the food, I opted for the house-spiced rub Mahi Mahi with a pineapple-mango salsa, served over Forbidden Fried Rice, and I was not impressed. Firstly, the piece of fish was extremely small, and, secondly, the whole dish was dry and bland. After having some excellent salmon there in the past, I was very disappointed by that seafood entree. I had, however, heard positive things about their Dry-Aged Steakhouse Burger made from Angus chuck and brisket, so I had a bite and found it decent. It had a bit too much of a charred flavor for my liking. The fries that came with the burger were delicious and addicting, though! While our service that evening was great, the food was nothing to write home about, and it was not the best meal we have had at Del Frisco's Grille by far. We will still go back, but it will not be as high on my list. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have a 3-year-old son who urgently needed to use the restroom while we were in the area, and we were denied access without even being asked if we planned to be customers. That was extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable, especially when it involves a small child. Customer service should show at least a basic level of understanding and compassion in situations like this. Because of this experience, I will not be supporting this business again. Very unprofessional. read more

The restaurant's location is ideal for a celebration. Food and service were great! We had Janelle as our server. For starters try the spinach dip. Add some asparagus and mashed potatoes to your meal! """you're welcome** read more

I've always loved Del Frisco's so I had high expectations. The location right on the River across from Manhattan is wonderful. The food was also amazing. I had one of the best steak salads thot I've ever enjoyed. The service however was very slow. It took 25 minutes to get my drink. Our server just did t have the cadence required to be a waiter. I'll give it 2 stars because our waitress made up for the whole show. (This is a review from may 3rd, 2021 when we went) I made a reservation with Del Frisco's for a party of 12. When I arrive the hostess (I'm assuming who hates her job) tells us she can't seat us until the whole party is here. I understood that but not on a Sunday when they're dead. If you're having dinner for a Birthday it doesn't make sense that I can't set up and start ordering appetizers to have out once everyone arrives. Because when we sat it took awhile for someone to even come and ask us what we wanted to drink. Not only that but once everyone arrived the hostess sat all of the other parties before looking at mine. I felt she was being spiteful. The only customer service I experienced here was the guy who made my reservation. I wished he was there when I came in. They messed up my boyfriends order. He ordered a 10oz sirloin and they brought out an over cooked Filet Mignon. I cut my Filet in half and only ate the top part because of how cooked it was. It's over priced and in all not worth it. The service took forever. Nothing was phenomenal. I mean even the chef at chili's understands what medium rare is. The only good thing I had was the coconut dessert. If you're going to order one thing order that but if you're between Del Frisco's and another spot I'd choose the other spot. read more

Really more of a 3.5 but the service was good so I'll give it a 4 :) Went for a group birthday dinner and thought everything was decent! Kept it super simple and got the roasted chicken - but it honestly was very good and over a bed of mashed potatoes. Would definitely get it again. For appetizers, highly recommend the spinach dip and people really enjoyed the cheese steak egg rolls. The deviled eggs tasted a bit off. Service quick with the bar service which was appreciated.
