I've used them for catering an event and a birthday cake order and was never disappointed by the amazing baked goods! Yummy!

You walk in the door and you immediately get hit with a delicious smell of fresh baked goods. I highly recommend their panini sandwiches. They have a lot of full meal options - ranging from egg dishes, avocado toast or "tartine", paninis as well as salads. I'd say this place is definitely on the more "balanced meal" side. I appreciate that the panini comes with a little treat on the side. Ask for the one you want or else they will choose for you! I got the small lemon bar dessert. The meal is pretty filling and you will leave pretty satisfied! They have a wide selection of drinks as well - the coffee was pretty great and I got a lovely latte art which is always a bonus! I also love that they have plenty of room to sit inside and outside. If you're a "word cup" fan you can watch one of the games inside! I personally prefer sitting outside in the sunshine, reading my book and enjoying the beautiful weather. The servers here are friendly and caring. They check on you if you need anything and grab your food when you are done! These little things are very much appreciated in a restaurant. I'd recommend coming here for brunch or lunch, or grabbing a coffee, enjoying the present moment and then walking around to do some shopping!

The custard tasted sour and off, to the point that we questioned whether it was still fresh. The pastry layer was so soggy and difficult to cut through that serving it became a frustrating, messy ordeal. Instead of a delicate, flaky Napoleon, it felt like we were trying to saw through soggy cardboard. The entire "cake" was a letdown. I've had grocery store cakes that were significantly better--this made a Safeway cake seem like it came from a high-end bakery by comparison. Given that this was a staff recommendation, it was especially surprising and disappointing, and my sister was embarrassed she brought it to our celebration. Based on this experience alone, I would be very hesitant to return or recommend this bakery to others.

We split their zucchini and ricotta tart for a savory bite and the chocolate croissant as a baseline comparison vs. other bakeries we've tried. Both were super buttery and flakey, and I was quite impressed by the lamination on the croissant. My favorite bite had to be the tart, though -- the slightly sweet fresh zucchini went wonderfully with the buttery pastry and rich, creamy ricotta. The zucchini was tender but still had a bit of snap to it, which made for a fun combo of textures. There's not really any space to sit inside, but you can take your pastries out to one of the tables outside. It does get pretty crowded over the weekend, so you might have to get pretty lucky with your timing to snag a table.

Wildly know for the super cute jar cakes, GK Pastry is so much more than that. Here you can find both savory and sweet focaccias, artisan sourdough breads, and an assortment of pastries. Let me emphasize on "EVERYTHING". This joint is a sourdough carb lovers dream!! GK prides themselves on using only the freshest, organic, & natural ingredients. And if that already wasn't enough, there is so much quality and love behind each and every product made. Pricing is high but it is 100% justified. 5/5 stars, I'd enjoy these baked goods on the daily if that was remotely possible! This place comes highly recommended and if these high remarks don't do it for you... I'm sure the generous samples will! You're welcome in advance!

I got to Mountain View early so I stopped at GK first. They had most of the baked goods available but still needed to finish baking the focaccia so I went to do my errand. I bought chocolate chip cookie, dark chocolate oatmeal cookies, oatmeal with raisins cookies, tomato and cheese sourdough, artichoke and truffle focaccia, mushroom and cheese focaccia, pistachio croissant, almond croissant, monkey bread and blueberry amaretti cookies, cinnamon bun and a loaf of sourdough country bread. All of baked goods were tasty, loved the focaccia and sourdough breads, the only letdown was the chocolate chip cookie, it tasted liked it sat out to long. The oatmeal cookies were very healthy and provably taste better with coffee, tea or a liquid beverage. I ate them as a snack during my walks so I didn't drink anything. The woman who helped me was nice. Quaint bakery. They had fresh warm samples in the morning when I got there. I was able to try out both breads that I bought. If I'm out in Mountain View again I will stop in and get some bread and focaccia, my favorites out of everything I bought.

They had a display of baked items at the window and a Chalkboard sign. I saw a ham and cheese croissant and was immediately sold. The young man worked at the window was polite and welcoming. I had time to kill but wasn't too hungry so naturally I ate something ‍ BEST HAM AND CHEESE CROISSANT I HAVE HAD IN SOMETIME! No, really. It's simple but easily messed up by most places that have them. Flaky, ham was thin and broke apart easily, the cheese and inner soft portion mixed together was superb. I sat quietly and munched! I overheard regulars saying it was unusually quiet and not the norm? Regardless it was peaceful! Shades triangles above the picnic table, the side under the tree was occupied but I was happy where I was. We always ask for a table with chairs because I have back problems and can't sit in their totally worn booths and the host has never had a problem with that request. But yesterday the regular host wasn't there and we were told they were busy and we had to sit at the counter or in a booth because they didn't want to put us the two of us at a table for four (there were two tables available). We waited for nearly ten minutes and when I asked again if we could sit at one of the tables was almost rudely told no, they were busy. So we left and went to Joanie's on California Avenue. They were also busy but immediately seated us and we had a much better lunch. Sometimes it's good to change things up as we'd forgotten how kind and attentive all the of the staff are at Joanie's and how much better the food was. And both of our plates of food came out hot and perfectly cooked which doesn't always happen at the Creamery. I guess we just eat there for the memories. My husband said none of the staff at the Creamery seem happy except for the host so if we don't see him seating the guests, we'll just go to Joanie's.
