Stopped by to try out the Dubai chocolate craze and found this gem on Yelp. It's a small place tucked away inside an older shopping center. There's no seating inside or out, but there is a park across the street. I was here for takeout. The staff greeted me as soon as I entered. You place your order on an order screen, but note that not everything (like the Dubai chocolate) is on the screen menu. Ask the team for help and they'll take care of you. Lots of delicious looking selections and they do big party / catering trays as well. I went with a pistachio baklava, walnut baklava, and the Dubai. I was a little surprised by the price ($19) but given I haven't had it before I have no other price reference. I had one baklava with coffee as soon as I got home and enjoyed the second the next day. Both were delicious! A perfectly flaky crust and solid flavors. The Dubai chocolate was big and I planned on sharing it with my boys when they are back at my place. However, I had to try it... It did not disappoint. I'm a dark chocolate guy, but the creamy milk chocolate worked really well with the pistachios. This place has been on my wishlist for a very long time now. It closes early at 2pm that I haven't been able to sample it yet. The shop is filled with bustle of workers, all baking fresh baklava. You can order from a touch screen and have it ready for pickup. They also have many pre-made sets to choose from. The sets go from 18$ to 40$. Knafeh takes 15 minutes to bake so it's a good time to place an order and go out to see the other stores nearby. Adding a ribbon is 2$ extra. Great for gifting as presents. They don't have a seating, so you might need to go home and reheat the knafeh. Amazing baklava, delicious kunafe - and even a take and bake kunafe option for personal sized ones, and all at a very reasonable price! The only downside is the timings - they close very early and are also closed on Sundays - so you realistically have a very short window to get their items, but if you get a chance - do try them out! The baklava is flaky and not overly sweet snd very generously filled with nuts. The kunafe comes in a cream or cheese version and you can choose coarse or fine texture. My favorite kind is cheese with coarse toppings. And i liked the take snd bake option because you can control the sweetness (they provide the syrup and nuts on the side). I just wish they had the take and bake option for larger sized ones too. Overall - some of the best baklava and kunafe in the bay area, and very friendly customer service. read more

You can order at the kiosk or from the helpful cashier. Small little place with the majority of the space being the kitchen, but there were some nice ladies working on the pastries behind the counter. I went here for the first time and the person who took my order walked me through all they had available, they were super kind. The walnut baklava was so good. I've been driving by this place for WEEKS! It's never open when I pass by and I pass by on weekly basis with the intent to find them open and fulfill my Baklava craving. This is the BEST Baklava in the Bay Area! The BEST!! I've had this delicacy from several places and this one beats all the others. A flaky, sweet delicious treat! Any restaurant in the area will charge you anywhere from $4-7 for a single piece of Baklava sometimes smaller than a piece of Halloween candy. I drove by and saw the OPEN sign and made a turn into the parking lot. I walked in and didn't see very much on the shelf but asked for a 16 piece pistachio Baklava. The ladies put the order together for me. I spoke with the woman who took my payment and she let me know she was the new owner since the previous owner had to close completely during the SIP and sold the business. The previous owner was great such a sweet woman. Wishing her all the best in her endeavors. The new owner also let me know that they are open Monday - Friday from 8-2 and realized that they need to switch on the OPEN sign and post the hours. AGREED! We drove a long way to get this place's food. The desserts were okay if they're compared to other places. However, the main problem was the service and ambiance. The store barely had any seating, and the inside was not very nice. In addition to that, the service was just a disgrace. The owner does not know how to treat her customers. I knew Oasis had a bakery somewhere in Sunnyvale after driving onto Lawrence from Central Expy and I've tried their individually wrapped baklava from Dish n' Dash. Searched Yelp and found them near Speedy's Tacos & Sushi Blvd! They're open 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 10am-4:30pm Friday, 10am-3pm Saturday. The bakery has wide open space but only a small portion of it is for customers to stand in after entering through the lefthand door. I'm talking about a 6'x5' space with the register in front of you and the packaged baklava on 2 tall carts on the right. Assorted pistachio is displayed on the left, walnut to the right. Walnut is actually cheaper. Prices have gone up since some Yelp photos were posted a few years ago. 36 piece assorted pistachio is now $28, 40 piece pistachio is $30, was once $20 or so. 6 piece walnut (large piece) $20, 16 piece pistachio (small piece) $15. Individually wrapped walnut is $2, pistachio $3. They also sell greibeh (pistachio butter cookies) and barazik (eggless sesame pistachio cookies). I purchased the assorted pistachio and boy did they go fast after lunch! I liked the rolled baklava best (ring shaped phyllo dough filled with chopped pistachios). Traditional one was sweetest with the most sticky honey solidifying at the bottom. The messy one with tiny fried noodle shaped spindles wasn't that sweet, the pistachios weren't weighed down by honey. They give out generous samples! The nice and efficient lady gave me two pistachio halves. Sweet and flaky. They distribute their products to many businesses early in the morning. I was in and out in three minutes. What a great find. Went there this morning and was pleasantly surprised. The business itself is in an older shopping center. The business itself is very clean. The owners (husband and wife) are kind, accommodating and nice to talk too. I love Mediterranean cuisine and the gentleman was explaining some of the differences in Baklava between different cultures/countries. Their Baklava is absolutely delicious. First of all they are very fresh. The phyllo dough is nice and crisp. The pistachios are moist and flavorful. And finally the bottom crust is perfectly sweetened and moist. I like to eat my Baklava with the top layer first and followed by the nut mixture and bottom crust at the same time. This allows me to eat anywhere without getting it all over my shirt! Lol!! They have the best baklavas around! Just the right sweetness and "moistness" (if I can describe it that way). They chockfull of walnuts and pistachios as well... just perfect! Last year, when I first discovered them, I bought 2 big trays of the various goodies -- one with pistachio, and the other with walnuts -- and brought them to a friends' gathering in Washington. This isn't a store as such but the location in which the Baklava is made and they supply local store's and restaurants BUT you can still swing by and they will happily sell you what they do have, this means that options may be limited but you know you're getting something incredibly fresh. A 3 piece tray will set you back $4.29 and which is about the same as the store's charge and come in a choice of either Pistachio or Walnut. Delicious flaky pastry with not too sweet filing, one piece is a great after Dinner treat. Other items sold include Greibeh Cookies, Barazik and Warbat. Anyway, I'm sure it's the same quality product as they had in Belmont specializing in Baklava. They had pistachio and walnut Baklava on the racks just inside the store, along with Barazik and Greibeh. You can see their whole operation in the open. This little baklava place is tucked away in a strip mall in Sunnyvale. I've been meaning to try this place for quite a while now, but they are only open for a few hours a day, so it's quite hard to catch them during open hours. I finally got the chance to go this past Saturday and let me tell you.. some of the BEST baklava I've ever had. I walked away with a box of the walnut and a box of the pistachio assortments, as well as a piece of the warbat. My family loved the walnut baklava since the walnut had a stronger flavor to it. Personally, I was not a big fan of the white cookies inside the assorted boxes, but everything else was absolutely delicious. What really blew my mind though, was the warbat. The owner informed me that the batch had just come out of the oven not too long ago so I couldn't help myself and walked away with one piece. Before I could even make it to my car, I had devoured the entire piece and was filled with instant regret at the fact I didn't buy more. Their pastry is so flaky and crispy, yet it wasn't heavy at all. I also love that none of their desserts were cloyingly sweet like most baklavas are. Too bad this place isn't open for longer during the day... or is it... cuz if it were, I'd probably be here daily for a piece of warbat and a box of baklava. Oh my God, I'm in Baklava heaven so many to choose from walnut, pistachio rolls to warbat that I haven't had before it's a layer sweetened with custard cream filling. The young lady was very pleasant and polite and gave me a free sample of two pistachio rolls crispy and sweet. This place is tuff away in a strip mall right next door to a Filipino café. There's plenty of parking so that won't a problem. I bought one package of walnut and the other one pistachio along with some warbat. Their prices are hard to beat very cheap and very competitive. Would definitely come back no question about it. Too bad they don't have falafels, pita bread and pies. Their specialty is making baklava and that's what they do best. Upon finding out this place so close, I made a mad rush over there like a gamer rushing to buy the SNES classic. I was expecting a display case like one would expect with a doughnut or pastry shop. Upon walking in, it was Oasis Baklava indeed: stacks on stacks on stacks..... of baklava likely for their order fulfillment. I saw the packaged balkava to the right and got the 3 sampler one. They had run out of pistachio 3 pack so I selected the walnut. This was delicious. All the essentials were present: the flakiness, sweetness and nuttiness (no pun intended). One of the key factors that separates this one from other baklava was that it wasn't chewy as they can sometimes be. Also the size of each baklava was 33-50% (my inner nerd calculations) larger than other baklava I've encountered To all the baklava fans out there, give Oasis a try: you will not regret it. read more

Everything is made fresh daily and packaged to ship to other businesses, etc. This is perfect! I made a purchase of three for $5 and received a few samples to try as well. I'm telling you, these are one of the best baklavas I've tried. The walnuts & pistachios are fresh and the sweet honey just gives more texture with every bite. I am truly addicted. I have to at least come three times a week. This is my new favorite bakery in my hometown. It's a great place to make large purchases for parties or any other events.
