OASIS Baklava is a local bakery. They have many items to choose from, and everything is made fresh on the premises. Their open kitchen is clean and organized. You can order at the kiosk or from the helpful cashier. I thought that the Turkish Delights were too sweet, so I'd stick with the Baklava, the little cheesecakes, and Pistacio Shells next time.

I was in the shopping complex and noticed this place tucked in the corner. A quick Yelp search and I realized it was popular so I walked in to pick up some baklava. Got a three piece pistachio for $9. The baklava was decent but not the best I had. It was a little too sweet, the pastry was not flaky enough and the nuts did not have a satisfying crunch.

Best Baklava I've ever had. And it is freshly made daily. Worth the trip up to Sunnyvale, and then to wait in line!

Small little place with the majority of the space being the kitchen, but there were some nice ladies working on the pastries behind the counter. I went here for the first time and the person who took my order walked me through all they had available, they were super kind. The walnut baklava was so good. The filo layers were flaky and the filling was nice, but a little too sweet for my taste. Definitely will be going back to try the pistachio baklava and their other desserts!

I've been driving by this place for WEEKS! It's never open when I pass by and I pass by on weekly basis with the intent to find them open and fulfill my Baklava craving. This is the BEST Baklava in the Bay Area! The BEST!! I've had this delicacy from several places and this one beats all the others. A flaky, sweet delicious treat! Any restaurant in the area will charge you anywhere from $4-7 for a single piece of Baklava sometimes smaller than a piece of Halloween candy. I drove by and saw the OPEN sign and made a turn into the parking lot. I walked in and didn't see very much on the shelf but asked for a 16 piece pistachio Baklava. The ladies put the order together for me. I spoke with the woman who took my payment and she let me know she was the new owner since the previous owner had to close completely during the SIP and sold the business. The previous owner was great such a sweet woman. Wishing her all the best in her endeavors. The new owner also let me know that they are open Monday - Friday from 8-2 and realized that they need to switch on the OPEN sign and post the hours. AGREED! Nevertheless happy this spot is up and running and wishing the new owner success during these hard times!

Oasis Baklava is an annual tradition going back almost 20 years. The drive has become a pain, so we order it online or call. We usually order a few trays and spend a day passing out the #bestbaklava through our client base in Reno, Sparks, Carson and Lake Tahoe. This year Covid kicked us in the teeth, and we needed another distribution method that was safe for the clients. For 2020 Oasis Baklava made a little gift box, individually sealed with four mini Baklavas. Perfect! They also serve #warbat, best to get it warm first thing in the morning at the Sunnyvale headquarters. It's like crack! Makes the clients happy, and the all love it.

I was ordering Greek food for a boss' farewell lunch when my coworker asked for baklava. 2 pieces at Opa! for $8? Around $6 at Agape Grill? No way! I needed enough sweets for 11 people. I knew Oasis had a bakery somewhere in Sunnyvale after driving onto Lawrence from Central Expy and I've tried their individually wrapped baklava from Dish n' Dash. Searched Yelp and found them near Speedy's Tacos & Sushi Blvd! They're open 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 10am-4:30pm Friday, 10am-3pm Saturday. The bakery has wide open space but only a small portion of it is for customers to stand in after entering through the lefthand door. I'm talking about a 6'x5' space with the register in front of you and the packaged baklava on 2 tall carts on the right. Assorted pistachio is displayed on the left, walnut to the right. Walnut is actually cheaper. Prices have gone up since some Yelp photos were posted a few years ago. 36 piece assorted pistachio is now $28, 40 piece pistachio is $30, was once $20 or so. 6 piece walnut (large piece) $20, 16 piece pistachio (small piece) $15. Individually wrapped walnut is $2, pistachio $3. They also sell greibeh (pistachio butter cookies) and barazik (eggless sesame pistachio cookies). I purchased the assorted pistachio and boy did they go fast after lunch! I liked the rolled baklava best (ring shaped phyllo dough filled with chopped pistachios). Traditional one was sweetest with the most sticky honey solidifying at the bottom. The messy one with tiny fried noodle shaped spindles wasn't that sweet, the pistachios weren't weighed down by honey. They give out generous samples! The nice and efficient lady gave me two pistachio halves. Sweet and flaky. They distribute their products to many businesses early in the morning. I was in and out in three minutes. Taking photos and deciding which tray to buy took more time than the transaction itself. As the brand says, there's always an occasion for baklava, especially freshly made ones.

    Warbat

Delicious baklava and Turkish delights with pistachios and chocolate filling! The Warbat are so yummy! Great customer service. Definitely will be ordering more sweets soon.

Pistachio Rose & Shell ($4 each) Rose ones were good but the shell was super dry and absolutely no syrup

We had the hojicha and biscoff ones. Not incredibly busy - a lot of orders were takeout. Cons: A lot of things were out of stock by 1pm but maybe this is due to Mother's Day. Pricey but the items were high quality. Store is a small footprint with limited utilities (no WiFi, bathroom was temporarily out of order). Parking is very difficult- it's on el Camino so the cars are unforgiving if you're trying to parallel park, and the road parallel by a block is not much better. My family and I stopped by Marvel Cake during Mother's Day for a sweet treat on Sunday. This location is in the strip of Downtown Palo Alto and has limited parking (similar to the rest of the stores there, there is a lot of parking, and you will need to get lucky). My mom does like the Marvel Cake in their first location, so we swung by here to try this one out! Location-wise, this is a smaller shop than the original one in West San Jose with limited seating inside. I would say it's not work from home friendly however, I did see a college student next to me on her laptop so maybe I am incorrect here! The interior is nice and light, matching the elegance of the desserts. We ordered three items on the menu: the pillow cake, the bisou, and the blueberry lavender roll. Here are some thoughts: * Pillowcase cake: It may seem like this would be a fluffy cake due to the nature of its shape, but it is a gelatinous Jell-O cake with fruit jam. It was not bad, and tasted refreshing and light. I didn't know if I liked it at first, but ultimately I did come back for seconds and thirds, so this is approved. * Blueberry lavender roll cake: This was not at all what we were expecting. I did not taste any lavender, nor did it have a strong blueberry flavor. I think what threw our party off was the layer of gelatin that surrounded the cake. Texturally, we were not a big fan. * Bisou: This one was our favorite one. I appreciated the nutty crust in the bottom layer of the cake, while the filling was soft and bouncy. It is very sweet, however, but overall, I really enjoyed this one and feel like it would go great with a cup of coffee. What made the experience here a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 was the service we got. We weren't greeted when we came in, which, to be fair, is totally fine, maybe they were busy. However, the person helping us stared at us the whole time and did not really communicate well with us. When I tried to order the cakes for my family, they looked bothered that we were there, and I was not sure if they understood what pastries I was ordering because they did not repeat it back to us at all or confirm anything. When I did place the order, they slowly grabbed the plates and looked visually confused, which again, if they wanted to, I could have repeated it back to them. After they gathered everything, they put it in front of us and rang me up. The whole time, they did not say a word to me at all. Did not reconfirm anything, did not acknowledge we were there, did not say thank you. It was a bit strange, and I had to check with my family if it was me or if that was a really weird experience (it wasn't me).
