Delicious baked goods from a prime location in front of live entertainment at the Livermore farmers market. The booth attendants were very helpful with samples and explaining the concept of wild yeast to me. Amidst a busy, lively event area surrounded by competition from at least two others, this bakery booth is selling out of pastries left and right. Tried the Lemon Ricotta bread & breakfast bar, both were delicious, sweet, and filling, with unexpectedly complex flavors. Purchased the Nutella bread and the cinnamon roll because I heard they're "the best" from other customers so I'm excited to try these when I get home. read more

I stumbled upon this pop up next to Philz coffee - on the one day I was starving because I woke up too early, so it felt like it was destiny for me to try them out. I stood there for quite a while trying to decide what to get. My first impression was "wow these are huge portions". Did you see that empanada??? It doesn't seem like they have too many options with meat in there. The last two got bought out by someone I let in front of me in line (she looks like she's been a regular and knows what she's ordering). I ended up choosing the jalapeño and cheddar baton. It was good. I toasted it a bit before eating it. I wish the flavor was a bit stronger though. I didn't really taste much of the jalapeño. read more

I stopped by a little after 2 p.m., and to my surprise, there were still plenty of choices available. You can really see the effort they put into keeping a good selection even this late in the day. Seeing the display case fully stocked was genuinely exciting--it's the kind of sight that instantly puts you in a good mood. When I was having trouble deciding, the staff kindly offered tastings, which made the experience even better. They also heat items upon request, which means you get to enjoy warm pastries. This level of service really stood out to me. I've visited many bakeries around San Francisco and the Peninsula, and this was actually the first place where heating pastries was offered--such a thoughtful touch. The cinnamon roll, filled with raisins, was a pleasant surprise and tasted unique yet comforting. And the Jalapeño Cheddar I ordered almost randomly ended up being the highlight of the day--perfectly spicy with rich, savory cheese. Exactly my kind of flavor. They also have a wide selection of café drinks, and there are still so many items I want to try next time. This is definitely a bakery I'll be coming back to. read more

We had the privilege of discovering Little Sky Bakery at the Burlingame Farmers Market and WOW, WOW, WOW!! Their baked goods are the reason for taste buds! Went to State Street Market to get some items and Sy was in the midst of unpacking the days order delivery and doing set up but stops and immediately offered to get me anything I wanted. Sy graciously looked through racks to find my scones and muffins. What a great employee you have, so friendly and helpful. This is a review for Liitle Sky's popups which I adore. We just ran into their pop up outside St Michael's Alley in downtown PA, which I learned is a regular Friday thing. I adore that they're in the mix making this area a hotspot for delicious baked goods around every corner! In particular I think Little Sky's breads are a notch heartier than others. So when it comes to something like the olive loaf we got yesterday, you kinda need a thinner slice because the bread is so rich and toothy. That olive loaf was wonderful to take home, pan toast, and top with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Delicious! read more

Spotted their booth at the Fort Mason farmer's market on Sunday this time and had to get another loaf of bread. They had a much bigger selection of baked goods at this farmer's market compared to the Inner Sunset one which was cool to see. I got a whole loaf of the whole wheat sourdough since I really enjoyed the section I got last time. I cut it open immediately when I got home and it was delicious! A nice crust but soft inside with good sourdough flavor. You could definitely tell it was very freshly baked. I couldn't even tell it was made of whole wheat, the texture was very similar to white sourdough. read more

It's hard to express how much I love their sweet baked goods. The chocolate chip cookie with apricots and the scones are consistently amazing, but my favorite is the cinnamon raisin pain de mie, which has a swirl of cream cheese inside and even the half loaf is big enough to share. Savory items have been more hit-or-miss for me (I tried two versions of a kind of Asian-inspired "pocket" dumpling or pastry), but I was recently there when a tray of sandwiches came out and they looked delicious. I loooooove this bakery!! Everything tastes pretty healthy, in a good way! I first found them at the san mateo farmer's market. I'm a big fan of their chocolate chip sourdough scone. This time I tried some different items, the forest scone and egg & chive pocket. The forest scone is very vegetably which is great! The pine nuts add a great taste and texture. I also like the egg and chive pocket, it's not oily at all. The bread is so soft too. I'll be coming back again and again to eventually try everything!! read more

I got a loaf of Pain de Mie at a Farmer's market that was so good, it made me want to recreate it after finding the bakery was too far from me to acquire from on a regular basis. Found them at the Daly City farmers market. They have the best scones in town. I missed their discontinued currant sourdough scone, and I'm so glad that they bring it back with a new flavor invention- Lemon Currant Scone! Can here after I had some cravings for some baked bread goods. LOTS of specialty bread options in a unique boutique street vendor setup. This leaf bread with olives caught our eye. It had more of a bagel consistency/texture and was a bit on the tougher side, but I really enjoyed it. We were craving bread with Kalamata olives, which they also had a loaf option available as well. No focaccia options though, since I was specifically looking for focaccia with olives after having it in Santa Barbara a few weeks prior. Conveniently located near the Caltrain station and nearby coffee spots like Philz and Andy's Town. This will likely become a staple of ours. read more

I've been purchasing their baked goods at my local farmers markets for a few years now and it's time to post a review. At this point I have tasted virtually all of their products and everything is delicious. I even love their raisin bread which is something I have never liked. It's amazing toasted. My go-to daily bread is the round country loaf. Our favorite cookie is the dark chocolate cherry. You can't go wrong with any of their products. I like that they have several savory items too, not just sweets. The ring bread with cheese filling is excellent. They make a lemon ricotta bun that might be seasonal. It's also exceptionally good. In addition to delicious products, the employees are uniformly efficient, friendly and nice. They make me want to return week after week. read more

A cute bakery that we came across at the Menlo Park Farmer's Market! They had a pretty diverse selection of pastries, ranging from sweet to savory. We were going for something a lil more savory, so ended up walking away with 3 pastries for almost $45. This place is deeeefinitely on the pricier side, we got carried away with what we decided on ordering lol. The lox sandwich and artichoke pano were great though! The bread was a bit tough, but it made sense since it was sitting out for quite some time. The lox was super flavorful and I liked the smoked salmon. The artichoke had layers of pesto on it, which made it taste good too! Employees were friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had. The food, services and ambiance. The kitchen close at 3pm but not the bakery items. So, if you want special sandwiches or meals remember to come here before 3pm. The pastries are not bad at all. We got the breakfast sandwhich. It was pretty good. It comes with brussel sprouts and salad on the sides. It was a pretty good size meal. I had the cream cheese, cucumber with salmon on soft bread. It was yummy. The bread was soft and buttery. The bathroom was very clean and organized as well. read more

My trusty feel good spot that I can always guarantee will have my favorite things any time that the fancy strikes. My favorite thing here are the breakfast bars by far. They are seedy, hearty slightly sweet, chewy and pretty much everything I want in a food. While you can find little sky bakery at various farmers markets around the peninsula their little stall next to Phil's coffee in Menlo Park is my favorite location. It is so unassuming, but they carry all of my favorite things and I can always rely on them being there. Obviously there isn't a spot to really sit and enjoy your treats, but you can walk around downtown or grab a huge box of goodies to go. Highly recommend this underrated spot. read more

Came here on a Friday morning and got the dinner roll and onion/parmesan bread. Both items were great. You can really taste the quality and care going into the food. Both had really nice balanced flavors and great texture. Staff were super friendly and even allowed us to heat up the bread in their restaurant (little sky kitchen) across the street. They had a great selection of unique breads and sweets and can't wait to come back and try some more! read more

I've shopped Little Sky Bakery at the farmers markets (Menlo Park and San Mateo) and their bread is excellent. As someone who is gluten sensitive, I find a slice of their sourdoughs doesn't illicit a reaction and I'm able to enjoy. I've tried their olive bread (favorite), walnut and raisin bread, seeded bread, and regular sourdough. I usually grab a section for $6 and that lasts me nearly the week. They have a storefront in Menlo Park but when I visited, it was set up as an outdoor pop-up tent very similar to the farmers market. read more

This bakery is probably one of my favorites on the peninsula. One time I bought a Basque-Japanese inspired cheesecake that was AMAZING. I brought it to a house warming party and it was a hit. Side note: I am basque and it was exciting to buy and try a dessert inspired by the region and a fusion with another culture! Anyways, I also recently tried a cookie and it was perfect. I love soft cookies and this one had chocolate and nuts for all the texture queens out there. I also ordered a cinnamon bun but ate that faster than could take a photo so not pictured here. When everything on display looks delicious, I let my sweettooth decide... No nut choc chip cookie$6, currant scone $6, cinnamon roll $6- all ok. Choc chip cookie is 5 star large, chocolaty but a bit soft and gummy moist if you like a bit of crisp in your cookie. Currant scone is sourdough based giving it more of a dense bready bite- definitely have this warmed with butter. Skip it if you like your scones to be tender crumbly. Cinnamon roll is full of plump raisins, the right amount of cinnamon and not overly sweetened with icing. All ok, but next visit will listen to my savory side... read more

The girl working at Belmont farmers market is always so sweet! I watch her interact with customers and even with a long line she remains calm and collective. Today I tried the sourdough chocolate chip scone and it was a great decision. So chocolatey but that sourdough tang balances the sweetness so well. I also got a no nut choco chip cookie. Also so much chocolate. These pastries are HUGE. they are definitely made for sharing. I couldn't help myself I had to try the scone on my way home before I got a perfect picture. And what the heck the bag was so heavy I had to weigh the chocolate chip cookie!!!! It was .6 of a pound lol insane! Next time I'm trying the ham and cheese baton! read more

Visited the San Mateo's Farmer's Market and came across Little Sky Bakery as I was looking for a pain d'Epi. Little Sky Bakery had so many varieties of breads, pastries, cookies and sandwiches! It's true to not shop when you're hungry as you want everything! Ended up purchasing a pain d'epi, jalapeño cheese bread, a lox and cucumber sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie for a friend...it was quite a hefty cookie too! The jalapeño cheese bread is one of the BEST I've had. Great texture, flavor with added sesame to give it a nutty component. I could've pulled that bread throughout the day and eaten it myself...but then I'd be paying for it later! The lox and cucumber sandwich was yummy but for me, hard to eat as the French bread was chewy and thick. Sure, I have some mileage on these chompers but so glad they spread cream cheese and dill on both sides of the bread. That way I was able deconstruct and eat it more civilized. Still delicious! I did see the William's empanada which was filled with artichoke, zucchini, mushrooms and parmesan....Not a traditional empanada as it was like a giant calzone and could be shared with 4 people! Yeah that big! I decided to wait until next time as I still had other stops to make! I'd definitely return...pricing reasonable and items delicious. The only issue is the person helping me wasn't able to get my card to read on their portable card reader (didn't have issue at 3 prior spots) and didn't offer to try at another station. So had to scramble for cash, remove items from my purchase and dig at the bottom of my purse for change...lol...but noted for next time to bring cash. read more

Was walking around Menlo Park in Palo Alto near my hotel and found this pop up bakery next to Better Buzz Coffee. As I was passing by I noticed the HUGE Williams Empanada filled with artichokes, parmesan, mushrooms, zucchini, and a touch of (unspicy) berbere. OMG!! Sooo good!!!!! We ordered Chocolate Chip Cookies Bittersweet chocolate, toasted walnuts and pecans, and a little bit of apricot make these luscious cookies. Delicious!!!! I love the apricot in them!! We also tried the Spinach Mandu and chicken Mandu . Everything was very delicious!!! Come and support this pop up place!!! read more
