Everything I've purchased here has continued to thrive once transplanted at home and exceed my expectations for longevity and bloom.. These are high-quality, healthy plants. I've never had a bad experience here, but originally gave four stars cuz of price. I'm updating to five as I am very satisfied with the cost-to-quality equation. I'll reiterate what I said in my original post: Meadows Farms customer service is exactly the right balance of experts on hand to help without hovering / shadowing while I browse. I like having room to obsess about different planter combinations without feeling rushed. Taking home a new plant is always a bit exciting, and the employees encourage that feeling of happiness in my selection each time. I'll keep coming back and sending all my friends here, too.

The owner was able to steer me in the direction of deer and rabbit resistant plants that are also attractive to pollinators of all kinds. All the plants I bought are in my garden and thriving! It was the fact that I had supported this small business by spending two hundred dollars and that was all she could think of to say to me. Last April we purchased four maple trees from the Meadows Farms Stafford, VA location and paid…read moreextra to have them professionally installed. Two of the trees showed failing limbs almost immediately. We brought photos to the Stafford store and were told to fertilize--no improvement. We were then told to "wait until next spring." This spring, the same two trees are still struggling. We returned with photos and even performed the "scratch test" they demanded. The staff agreed the trees were in trouble but told us we had to call HQ. After multiple calls, voicemails, and being bounced around departments, we were finally told someone might get back to us in 7-15 days. We paid more at Meadows Farms expecting professionalism and a real warranty. Instead, we got delays, dismissiveness, and a warranty process designed to wear customers down. If I had it to do again, I would have gone to Home Depot or Lowe's--there, you simply bring the receipt back within a year and get a replacement. No hassle, no runaround. Meadows Farms wasted my time, treated us poorly, and did not stand behind their product. I cannot recommend them.

Back in 2018, shortly after I moved to the U.S., my husband and I selected three healthy, pink crape myrtle trees at this garden. I personally took photos of each tree and paid a deposit to reserve them.However, when we returned at the agreed pickup time, all three trees had been replaced. Two of them appeared undernourished and in poor condition, and the third one was tall and thin -- completely different from the compact variety I had originally selected. None of them matched what I had chosen and paid for. When I presented the photos I had taken as proof, the owner was dismissive and admitted that he did not know how to say what had happened. Despite this, he still refused to refund my deposit. As someone who had just arrived in the U.S. at the time, this experience was extremely upsetting. It felt misleading and dishonest.I would strongly recommend others take photos and confirm exactly what they are purchasing if they decide to shop here.
