Our absolute favorite stop on our mini vacation to Gordonsville. Mr. Eric was absolutely awesome,…read morehilarious, and so sweet, and talked to us a little about the history of the vineyard, the farm, as well as some of BerryWood's products. There's a cute little farm outside with fresh produce such as peaches and corn. The first thing I noticed right away was the selections of jams, jellies, and sauces when I walked in their little 'market.' We were given a little 'tasting' of the different jams, jellies, and syrups they had. My husband was a huge fan of their Peach Ghost Pepper Jelly (a nice sweet peach taste with a kapow at the end from the ghost pepper), and I was in love with their Malbec Grape Jam - yummy on toast, on crackers, on cheese, etc. I also loved their Toad's Raw Honey, straight from the combs on their farm - wonderful and absolutely delicious, and probably the best honey I've ever tasted! We also purchased a Malbec and a Pinot Noir from their vineyard for some family and friends, and I know that they'll love it. I would highly recommend in anyone visiting the Orange/Gordonsville/Charlottesville area to make a trip out to BerryWood - Mr. Eric and Ms. Brandy are so sweet, and I am all for supporting local businesses that actually have great-tasting lovely products! I am definitely going to continue ordering honey and the jams/jellies from them on, forever and ever. Check them out - you won't be disappointed! +Peach Ghost Pepper Jelly +Malbec Grape Jam +ask for Mr. Eric :D

BerryWood is a cute bakery store, in the same building as the Honah Lee tasting room. Truthfully…read morethey should be the same Yelp page, but technically they are separate businesses, even though they occupy the same space. They have plenty of sweets here, as well as some 'farm' produce like eggs and a few veggies. But I'm a huge fan of the jams, especially the spicy ones. In fact they have a serving tray of like 10 jams for sampling, and it's hard to choose.

A welcoming sign invites you inside a peaceful nook where tea and conversation flow in equal measure. This cottage-style tearoom is designed with sage and rose floral chintz curtains, white laced tablecloths and parasols suspended from the ceiling for a whimsical flair. Owner, Terrie, wanted her tearoom to be appealing but not too frilly. She nailed it. Offering old-world hospitality, her tearoom is casual and cozy. She also is a force of nature when it comes to supporting the community and local artists, crafters, writers, and tea lovers! Depending on your appetite, the tea menu provides plenty of options from a "Spot of Tea", a pot of tea, two scones and fruit to the "Dilly-Dally Tea" which includes two pots of tea, four scones both savory and sweet, tea sandwiches, fruit, cheese, crudités, pastries and petite desserts. With the set menu changing monthly, you may be served such delightful tea sandwiches as cherry-walnut cream cheese, lavender chicken salad, avocado egg salad, carrot raisin sweet sandwich, tuna baby-pea crostini and the classic cucumber and cream cheese. The savory scones may include spring onion and cheddar while the sweet selection may be a peach cobbler scone. If you are lucky, you may come in time for the strawberry cupcakes and the homemade chocolate fudge. We enjoyed every morsel and the service was superb! Whatever treats are on the menu, it's always appetizing! Tea drinkers won't be overwhelmed with an extensive tea menu. Terrie thoughtfully offers a selection of about fifteen choices ranging from classic teas like Earl Grey and English Breakfast to green teas, herbal and fruit teas, oolong teas and chai teas. There's a tea for every taste! It's Earl Grey for me! After tea, be sure to enjoy shopping in Cuppa Cheer's corner gift shop. Filled with not only tea caddies, teacups, teapots and books, this shop is also brimming with hand-crafted items such as greeting cards, tea cozies, tea coasters, jewelry, wreaths and more. You may even find an elegant hat that suits your fancy. Be sure to browse around the tearoom dotted with tasteful tea décor and take a gander at the tea chandelier and the teacup quilt both hanging in the craft room. My Cuppa Cheer runneth over!
