Second hand is great on the wallet and the world! I was only going in to browse this time, as I had no immediate need for anything (in fact we're just about to move, so I'm trying to purge, not gain anything else) but I was tempted by a few things still! On top of secondhand clothing, shoes, and jewelry they also have a selection of local goods/crafts for sale including soaps, other toiletries and jewelry. Nice little shop, definitely worth a look-see.

It's a bit pricey, but vintage can be sometimes. It's a tiny space, cramped with vintage in every corner (and I mean this in the best way possible)! I really loved trying on things from the past and dreaming about the item's previous life. Worth a stop when in downtown Charlottesville. I mean what a great name for a store! Interesting place to spend an afternoon. An eclectic mix of antiques and "one man's trash is…read moreanother man's treasure" type of stuff. I have purchased some odds and ends here but I'd say it's more of a browsing store than a place where you know you're going to make a purchase. This is not the type of place you come to looking for a specific "thing" - but it's huge, so there is a LOT too look at, and you might discover a unique gem you didn't know you needed. Definitely a store where you can find something unique! While there are some bargains to be found (I got some cute half-price Xmas decorations after the holidays), there are also quite a few items, especially dishware and ceramics like S&P shakers, vases, etc. and old toys, that are on the pricey side. As far as customer service goes, everyone I interacted with was pleasant and helpful, once you could find them. I'm assuming because of the size of the store, their staff is spread thin. COVID-19 protocols - Must wear a mask and all staff were wearing masks. It is a store chock full to the brim with furniture and knick knacks, so the areas to walk through can be narrow or lead to dead ends. Use your judgement and socially distance yourself.

Contrary to how some boutique thrift stores can be, the ladies here were very nice! I was impressed with their wall to wall selection of staple and vintage clothing items. The curation of this place was a nice mix of estate/heirloom pieces that ranged from tweed jackets, wool skirts, silk blouses, to an ample selection of accessories for both men and women. There were even a few formal wear dresses for black tie events or weddings. The quality was still top notch. I was also impressed with their men's tie selection, noting that there was one from Oscar De La Renta (very cool). Overall, a good variety of clothing for both men and women. The furniture/kitchen/art/textile/book selection was fair but not as extensive as their clothing. I did also note a beautiful Persian rug for sale in their entrance way. All in all, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Based on my conversation with the sales associate, they tend to bring in new (well, "new" being relative as it is a gently used shop) items frequently. The pricing is reasonable, the parking is easily accessible (there is a lot right in front), and the store is located in the shopping center off of Preston Ave. Happy hunting!

It's an adorable shop run by an amazing group of incredible, caring people who put a great deal of time and effort into curating a welcoming environment for people from all walks of life. They are very selective about the items that they agree to consign, so shoppers have a ton of high-quality, in-style options to choose from. It's honestly dangerous to go in there because there is always something cute that I MUST have; however, if you have a clothing problem like I do, when you're not buying new, you can at least shop with a clean conscience! On the other end, the consignment process is simple, clear, and quick, and you are reasonably compensated when your items sell, especially if you opt for store credit payout. The dressing rooms are honestly my favorite part. When you walk in, you're greeted by hundreds of sticky notes with positive affirmations posted by other shoppers. It's like the positivity and immediate camaraderie you find in the womens' restroom at a club (but without all of the bottom-shelf liquor). Shop small, and shop secondhand!

The store was laid out very well and upon walking in you wouldn't have any idea it was a second hand store. They do stock some shirts and clothing etc that's not used, but all the major gear is. I was really impressed with the selection and quality of the gear they had and it was all at a price point I can get behind! I didn't make any purchases that day because we're about to move and the last thing I want is more stuff to pack, but as we have a baby boy there's a few gear additions we need to get for successful family outings, and so I'll definitely be back to high tor soon for those!
