Chris is amazing! I went to him for a slew of back, shoulder and chest issues I had. Chris understood precisely how these were all interrelated and worked on muscles, tendons, whatever (!) that i did not even know i had. He has an amazing understanding of human anatomy and was able to not only stretch and massage the areas in which i felt pain and discomfort, but suggested exercises or stretches I could do on my own. My partner is a physical therapist and when I told him about the suggestions Chris had made, he confirmed these as being very much on point. Chris's space is very serene, clean and comfortable with relaxing music playing and a wonderfully delicious scent permeating the air. It actually feels much better than being in a corporate-feeling spa or cramped massage spot. I should also say that Chris is a Bikram Yoga teacher and he is really amazing at that too. It's certainly a weird time (Covid) for lots of businesses, but I can safely say that Christopher takes extraordinary measures to ensure his space is as clean and disinfected as humanly possible. And that's no exaggeration - His space was impeccably clean, even down to the sign in tablet and checkout process. And, I very much appreciate all his attention to detail and wanting to ensure the massage was as comfortable and safe as possible. AND - the massage itself was amazing. Deep tissue I've found can vary quite a bit from place to place (with many places that I've visiting not being able to provide enough pressure), but Chris' technique was the perfect amount of pressure I needed. Deep Root is the best massage I have ever had! I initially went to Chris based on my affinity for him as a Bikram Yoga Instructor. I assumed he would apply the same attention to detail and caring demeanor in massage therapy as he does instructing yoga. My assumption was correct. Chris's massage was both relaxing during the massage and highly corrective as evidenced by how much better my back and shoulders felt the following day. He combines both anatomical knowledge and impressive technique to give a very enjoyable and effective massage. Chris's space is also perfect for a massage.
