While staying in the area I read good reviews on this location. I was the only one in there at first until more people starting to come in. A couple of girls working in here, very friendly and quick at their job. The make the doughnuts fresh and add the toppings on them as ordered. Which is great because they're warm and don't get stale. One dozen doughnuts are $17.99 which is reasonable for the freshness. You get a check list and pick how many and which doughnuts you would like. And even if you want different you can request. Mix and match flavors however you'd like. I'm sure during the busy season they get swamped. Also being attached to the kettle corn store. You can't go wrong with fresh doughnuts. read more

It was okay. The donuts were kind of stale and "sandy" meaning they had a sand and dry consistency. They also hired a person so my order was messed up quite badly. We're in deep creek with our friends and saw Deep Creek Donuts near where we were renting our boat, so we checked it out this morning and omg it was amazing. We didn't realize it until we ordered, but every donut is made fresh right in front of you. They have the conveyer belt and fryer where you can watch the donuts get fried and flipped, and then they individually frost and top each donuts. So many good combinations, our favorites were the maple bacon, the twisted toffee, and the Eminem, but you can always choose your own toppings! 10 out of 10 if I could rate it that high on here. We were in Deep Creek for a friend's camping trip and in the cabin we had a little binder of places to go and things that we could do. As soon as I saw there was a small donut shop I knew that I wanted to go. I love me a donut and I love to try new things while on vacation so why not. Now the first time we went/ got the donuts was because one of our friends went because my kids were acting up and I needed to take care of them. So he went. As soon as he came back with that smile upon his face I knew we were going to go again. He sat down the donut box and said I have some of my own that I'm going to put in my own cabin. He got himself his own mini box of donuts for himself! So you knew that they were good. I like that they make them right in front of you so they're totally fresh. The donuts do not sit out at all. You can do make your own or you can pick from the list that they have. I will say that that someone in our party did have a nut allergy and this is not a nut allergy friendly place. There could be cross contamination and when I ask them about that they totally were up front and warned me. I appreciate it. I would say go here everyday that you can. I know we did. Went here to grab donuts before heading out on the water. Love the concept of a create your own donut and the topping and glaze selections were quite impressive! Out issue was just that the donuts themselves tasted pretty greasy and overly sweet. Some people may like this, but its just not our favorite style of donut. Let's start with the cons: 1) They are NOT open everyday as their hours say on here, Google, and their website say -- only open Friday to Sunday from 7AM-2PM. 2) Out of the two visits, they were out of some ingredients both times (like maple, peanut butter, and bacon), but it doesn't matter what you put on these donuts. They're incredible, as I will elaborate on. So, I was in town with some friends staying at a cabin, and I happened to stumble upon there a donut spot!! If you know me, you know I love my donuts. And when I went on the place's website, it reminded me so much of a place I've missed for years -- Fractured Prune, a highly customizable donut spot I remember clearly from college and briefly from Crofton after I graduated. My friends and I planned to go there Tuesday morning before work, just to realize they were closed! They were supposed to be open, but since they weren't, we said we would come back Friday. Fast forwarding, I went and I was the only customer in there. And, just like Fractured Prune, I had a slip that I could fill out with provided pens (separated in sanitized and used per COVID policies :-)!). So, I made my picks, and took many Boomerangs of the donut-making process. The staff must've thought I was insane LOL. While waiting, I noticed a big patio on the back that faced the lake. I wish that I could've hung out a while! My dozen donuts contained quite the variety, including 'Ice Cream Sundae' (vanilla glaze, sprinkles), 'Flintstone' (vanilla glaze, fruity pebbles), s'mores, banana chocolate chip, and more! I waited until I got back to the cabin to take a bite. The base donut is.... INCREDIBLE. They were nice and moist, and the fresh sweet ingredients that you can add just made it so much better. I made sure to pick up another three donuts on my way home, just to try some flavors I missed the last round. It's too bad that this place isn't closer to home. On the last morning of our trip we dropped by for some hot donuts. The location was supposed to be open starting at 7 a.m. daily. Which, for the average human consumer means that donuts will be available for purchase at the opening time, or 7:00. However, all three of the teenage/young adult employees rolled in around quarter to 8:00, and donuts are made to order. Since the employees were so late, and donuts are fried, the oil took about 25 minutes after the fact to heat up. So, the time from ordering 18 donuts and paying over $22, to actually receiving two sticky, topping-coated boxes was about 45 minutes. The wait would have been completely acceptable for warm, fresh donuts customers expect, if not for the size of the donuts, receiving someone else's order first, coming home to find we were missing one donut from the order, and getting coated in the grime from the outside of the box. If I owned this business, I would have a supervisor managing employees, make sure they were showing up before the opening time instead of almost an hour after, and probably consider adjusting to more reasonable cost of donuts. read more
