My sister and I were looking for an afternoon pick me up and went to Traders Coffee Shop. You never know if you are going to like a new coffee shop but this place has good reviews and it was definitely a good choice. I ordered one of the signature lattes which had caramel and marshmallow. It was delicious! The temperature was perfect and I really liked the cups haha ! The employees were very pleasant even though we were there just 30 minutes before closing. I also loved the inside of the store. Everything was really clean. I did try their chocolate covered espresso beans also and they were really good. We were in Deep Creek and needed our coffee fix. This was closer to the cabins than most of the other places. So we decided to go here one morning. I will say that their pastries really drew me in. There was so many things in that case that I wanted to get just to nibble at but I had to restrain myself because I already bought donuts. But the orange cranberry scones were phenomenal. I would definitely go back and get a box of those if I could. The coffee was okay. I wasn't super impressed with it, but I wasn't totally sad about it. But my partner really enjoyed his mocha. I got the toffee flavored iced coffee and the toffee flavoring just was not for me. Which is weird because toffee is one of my favorite candies in the world. I mixed a little bit more milk with it whenever I got home and it was doable. I will say that the service was phenomenal and the people behind the counter were really really sweet. Visited Traders Coffee House twice on my vacation this past week. It is a cute little coffee shop. The line was really long the second time I went and I was worried that everything would take awhile but the staff were efficient and we were out pretty quickly. I ordered a chai tea latte both trips. Great coffee and friendly staff but food is an afterthought. We ordered waffles, avocado toast and egg and cheese wrap. Avocado toast was super bland and they just sprinkled everything bagel seasoning on it. Sorry it was inedible. Kids didn't like the waffles either. I'm almost serious when I say the reason we vacation in Deep Creek is because of Trader's! I stopped there 4 times over a 2-day period and would have gone more if I didn't have to pay the 20 billion dollars a gallon in gas on the way back to NJ! Tremendous coffee - I love the flavors, not overpowering but just amplifies my coffee drinking experience. The Apple Cinnamon flavor, in particular, when they have it available, is life-changing. I loved the breakfast sandwiches as well (including sausage and cheese on gluten free wrap) and the smoothie options! The staff is super friendly, including Jean, the wonderful manager! They also sell Apparel! The T-Shirts are super soft and the color selection is awesome cause who doesn't love a good Pastel color way! I wanted to try the Iced Chai Latte and they recommended to me the spice over the normal Chai and it is definitely packed with FLAVOR! I'm sorry to say that the quality of the coffee drinks has really gone down since COVID. My opinion is that the staff isn't trained in barista skills. My husband and I are camping here at Deep Creek lake but had some homework due so we needed Wi-Fi and a place to sit to get it done. This place was perfect! There is seating with outlets available too which was super helpful. We ordered two Asiago cheese bagels toasted with butter and they were delicious. I also ordered a tea halfway through our visit because it was so cold out and that was a great relief. The service was great! It was the perfect spot to get homework done and warm up. People were coming in and out during our visit too so it's a good spot! Music was at a good volume. Will be back if we visit Deep Creek again! read more

Quaint place and friendly staff. Love that they have nitrogen-infused coffee like Starbucks! Their service is friendly and the pastries are really great. We loved the donut cupcake and cinnamon scone. I enjoyed a butterscotch latte and smoothie bowl, although I would've liked to see fresh blueberries instead of defrosted. This place is just great overall! My vegetarian friend raved about their soup - especially the broccoli cheddar soup! Hes not a big bean person and even really loved their white bean soup.. This place is the only coffee shop in Deep Creek itself, and it would be in trouble if it had competition. The iced coffee was watery and the worst I've ever had. It is apparent that they do not know the proper ratio for beans to water when you add ice to the mix. We got a muffin that was fine at least. We got much better iced coffee at Casselman's bakery and otherwise made it ourselves after this bad experience. read more

We loved that this shop was in walking distance of our condo, but The coffee wasn't good in my opinion. There were flies all over the ceiling, which really grossed us out. Price was not worth it, 2 regular sized coffees and small breakfast wrap was over $20. We will try a different place next year. read more

The cashier didn't take our name, they had a line out the door, menus were hard to see while in line, the toast for my sandwich was soggy, my partner's sandwich had one tiny piece of sausage tucked in the very center of the bagel it was on, and they forgot our scone. every other order before us was messed up as well. One lady waited a long time and had received nothing from a large order of baked goods that were already prepared. both cashiers seemed incredibly inexperienced, and the ladies handing out the food seemed annoyed with everyone who asked for stuff they were missing. The coffee house is warm and inviting with comfy chairs, inviting couches, and standard tables (perfect for dining with children). We had breakfast and coffee, and we saw numerous other guests working, reading a book, or visiting with friends over coffee. A unique but awesome feature of this coffee house, is that they offer a "Pay it Forward" bulletin board. Guests can pay the cashier $5.00 and receive a sticky note they are able to then post on the bulletin board to offer a future guest a free cup of joe, breakfast, etc. For example, you can make a $5.00 donation and write on your sticky note "For a mom who has young children, and just needs a cup of coffee and a minute to relax!" Such a mom can then take that sticky note from the bulletin board and give it to the cashier to receive the cup of coffee you've already paid for. What a nice idea!
