We moved to AZ in 2017 and kept with this service as the previous owners had used them. Since…read morethat time he raised his rates, and we continue to use them, paying on a monthly basis. Earlier this year, we had an issue with the pool that needed repair and I asked Zach (Owners son and our pool tech) to have his dad call me for the repair -- never got a call. I ended up fixing myself. In July my wife traveled home and we noticed that the pool basket was missing. I had her check and sure enough the secondary basket next to the filter motor was packed with debris, never checked and could have easily overheated the filter motor. I called Zach and asked him what had happened, and he replied that the pool basket had broken previously and that he did not a replacement with him, so he called Frank - his dad was called and asked him to deliver one but he like before, never showed up. Today I get a call from Frank indicating that at the end of August they are terminating our service without any notice whatsoever. That he had other customers that were paying more thus he needed to make room for them. Not even a quote to see if we would pay him more. No advanced notice - no complaints prior - just cancelled our service knowing full well we are snowbirds and he would be putting us in a bind . I tried to reason with him explaining the past issues we had, which he turned a deaf ear. Bottom line - as Mr. Murphy said, this guy is unreliable. We did nothing but pay our bills timely as invoiced and we get this from him. Would never recommend anyone use this company. What a disappointment.

That said, I don't know if it is the lack of consideration and budget from the HOA or the lack of particular expertise and knowledge of the on-site technicians -- but our pool has gone from crystal clear blue to green algae bloom toxicity. The technicians have been asked on-site to scrub and vacuum - -and we were told, that's not my job. So I guess in our case, the pool is not quite so brilliant. Maricopa Environmental Services even came out and said that while the PH and chlorine are satisfactory, anyone could get sick or infected from the algae and mold that is not scrubbed. Hopefully they will do better or recommend to the HOA a better servicing. Aint NO ONE wanna get into that pool....look at the photos. Hopefully Brilliant Pools can help make our pool brilliant again. The pump had failed two weeks prior, and my replacement was still out on a scenic tour of Route 66. Austin notified the scheduling dept of the en route pump and they were ready to install it when it arrived. The pump arrived at 7pm last night and by 7 am today, Raymond had it installed, he replaced the water leveler and within 30 minutes the pool was up and running. Thank you Raymond !!! And Thank you Austin!!! My pool is looking good once again. So incredibly glad that I called. Two weeks into my contract and my pool has received professional care. Do I recommend Brilliant Pools???? We checked and it was under warranty with only a few months left on the warranty. Saved us thousands by not trying to upsell. We ended up getting a new salt cell, and 5 new pool lights replaced free because of his recommendations. Pool is ready for summer. I was impressed with his knowledge, he showed us something our original installer missed that for sure will help us with maintenance. The pool and the equipment have been taken care of as if it is their own.
