Those guys went beyond giving me good service. That was more than a year ago and thanks to them my epson 3800 photo printer has a new life. After I ran away from a printer maintenance place in Richmond (Allrepair.com), I drove all the way to Fremont to Deens on a hunch. In fact, I went from a place that wanted me to upgrade printer or pay $380 to Deens that charged me $40 less and threw in a free lid because they had it handy. They didn't have to so they deserve my gratitude in addition to a positive review. Thank you Deens and sorry for a very late review. read more

They charged me a $99.90 bench fee and failed to repair my Epson 8350 projector. I'm going to see if Epson factory service can do better, and I'll report back. If they actually _have_ factory service... Sure, diagnosing problems takes time, and time is money. But at least they could have included a nice diagnostic report from their software, explained what went wrong, etc. All they said was "it needs a new optical engine -- it's cheaper to buy new projector". I mean, how do I know they even opened it up? They could have just told me it's not repairable and taken my money. I doubt they did, but there's no evidence to the contrary. When I asked for a diagnostic report, they said the technician had already gone home. Edit: Epson doesn't have factory service -- they rely entirely on mom-and-pop service centers like Deen's. I just bought a new projector, and guess what -- it's not an Epson ! read more

The cost was $30 more than what is posted on their website and it took a bit of time to get someone out to my site, but Gary was very helpful and taught me alot about maintenance and cleared up my printer problem on the large Brother laser printer. read more

This place is legitimate. We received a new Epson POS printer that showed an error light. The web application support team cannot help me and referred me to contact a Epson's authorized repair center. The gentlemen replaced the circuit board. Don't ask me why a new printer has a bad circuit board. The saying "trust but verify" applies. The gentleman patiently worked with me when I verified the functionality of the printer. He had to make some changes and never showed any impatience. He is a rare professional in my opinion. Thanks you Deens Electronics. You earned a new loyal customer. read more

I called Deens about a repair to my printer/scanner. After hearing the problem, Kurt told me bluntly it would probably cost as much to repair as to buy a new product. Thanks for the honesty! read more

These guys repaired my printer a while ago. The repair was quick and inexpensive, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's been a pretty long time since I got it back and my printer has been working a-ok ever since! read more

Excellent they fixed our Brother MFC printer and very ethnical. They delivered and the printer works like new. They do ask for a fee to look at the printer. They delivered same day service for our needs. They saved us from buying another $600 printer. Highly recommended. Visit them to fix it and don't waste $$$ on a new printer. read more

Deens Electronics may be a bit cluttered and look disorganized, but they know what they are doing and know how to repair printers! Recommended. read more

I was having a problem with my ink jet printer. It is an Epson eco-tank printer, and it had been running well for two or three years, but then it seemed like the heads got clogged. I looked up some repair remedies on the Internet involving ammonia and some paper towels, and I tried that, but with no success. Then, I found Deen's Electronics through Yelp, and I gave them a call. They said I could bring my printer out there (to Fremont) and they had some remedies for dealing with clogged printheads. So I paid my $60 on a Thursday morning, and by Friday morning I got a call saying that my printer was up and running and that I didn't owe them any more money. I immediately drove over there to pick it up, and I am very happy with the result. The technician also gave me some good tips for avoiding clogged heads in the future. The service was very good, very professional, and I recommend them highly. read more

I had an Epson 3880 that needed some serious repairs, and the staff here helped me out fully and at an affordable cost. Most definitely the best in the bay area for your photo printer repair needs! read more

I had a friend deliver my printer for repair at the place on Industrial Blvd in Fremont. Too far for me to drive (needed warranty repair). I typed a letter explaining what was wrong with the printer, carefully boxed it up, and even put it on one of those small personal hand carts so it would be easy to roll into the store. I then dealt by phone with the tech (or owner, he never identified himself). His English is atrocious and I had to guess at almost every word he said and repeat it back to him. He never read the letter I wrote in which I explained that the printer was still under warranty (and I included a copy of the purchasing invoice for proof). He initially quoted me an outrageous price to repair it when I finally understood that he did not realize it was under warranty. After we got through that linguistic hurdle, it took a week to get a refurbished printer shipped to his store for pickup by my friend. Of course, the hand cart had disappeared into the piles of miscellany that apparently is the norm of this operation. I have tested the refurbished printer and it seems to work. The warranty will expire next month, so we'll see. Deen's needs to hire some customer support folks that speak fluent English. They need to follow the customer's suggestions, and they need to get that place organized. I have already decided to write off the printer when it fails and buy a new, cheaper one than return to Deen's. read more

Actually, I've had 2 large expensive epson printers repaired here over and never had a problem.

I needed repair for my HP Printer -- Fry's Electronics referred me to Deens Electronics in Fremont, CA, for the repair. I took my HP Printer to Deens; they fixed the issues in one day at a moderate (reasonable) expense. The engineer Syed Hussein handled my product. They did excellent work, highly recommended! read more

I use generic inks for a few years on large format printer. One day the ink head was clogged and I couldn't clean it out. These inks have odd smell compared to legit inks. I took the printer to Deens for repair. They got the job done, super. If you have a $300 printer and it cost around $100 to repair it. You have to weigh your options whether to fix it or simply buy a new printer. read more

Brought my epson 3620 printer here with a "Jam" error message. Deen said it was fixable and I paid my money to get it fixed. The printer was not fixable and Deen looked it up and found it was still under guarantee. I got a new printer and my repair costs back. Can't ask for better than that. A good honest man. read more

Hussain was amazing! I described my epson 4900 inkjet problem over the phone and he walked me through a practical strategy is solve it. Lo and behold, it began to operate the paper movement from tray to printr smoothly and properly. He saved me money and he saved me aggravation ! Thank you Hussain for taking the time to listen to me and think of a solution ! read more

This is the place--repair your printer, don't buy a new one. In the time it takes to buy and set up a new machine, you can take the old one to Deens Electronics and get it fixed. I took both of my older HP laser jet printers here because they would no longer print. Kurt checked each of them out and got them up and running again by just replacing one basic part. I am a writer, so the monochrome laser jet models do the work of printing hundreds of pages for me each week and I want to keep them. The cost was fair and he applies the diagnostic fee to the labor cost for servicing each machine. He is very well organized and so experienced that it is a pleasure to do business with him. And he is authorized by a number of companies to be the one to repair their printers. I recommend him without reservation. By the way, he is no longer on Enterprise St., but just a few blocks away, on Industrial Drive. Linda read more

Deen Electronics I have never posted a yelp review before. This review will be so good that you will think that Deen planted it. In my view, Deen sets the standard for customer service not just in printers but more generally. They not only fixed my printer problems but did so in a creative way. While they were doing this, they kept in communication and gave me choices along the way. When I asked them to retry one of their solutions they did so without any hesitancy and refused to charge anything beyond the initial diagnostic/repair fee. The final result was what is, in essence, a new machine with beautiful text and photo printing. But that is not all. In the process of helping me they created a win for another customer so that both of us came out ahead. The owner of Deen Electronics, Hassan, brings an infectious joy to his work that turned the transactions into meetings between friends. He just likes to help people. P.S. He knows what he is doing with printers. read more

Brought my Epson R2400 in to Deens in morning. Paper feed mot working. Power switch misfunctioned. Paid their standard review fee. Received a call that afternoon. Printer fixed, tested, functioning. No additional fee. Can't ask for better service. read more

Several pairs of earrings recently fell into the paper feed on my Epson CX7800 printer. (Don't ask). I was able to remove all but one of them, and discovered Deens when I searched for a solution. They were able to quickly remove 4/5s of the remaining earring when I first brought the printer in, but, unfortunately, a single bead stubbornly remained inside the printer and required 1.5 hours of labor to remove. I was very happy with the professionalism and service and the turnaround time. My only quibble is that the availability of someone on staff to do the repair is limited due to the demands of on-site repair requests. Evidently, on some days, the requirement for site service is so great that the technician does not go into the shop at all. Consequently, I had to call every day to find out if the technician was going to be in that day. That is the only thing preventing me from giving them five stars. read more

I took my Epson R2880 printer in to have them do a tune-up on it. They charged me double in the end what the initial estimate was, which was fine, and took about a week longer than they originally said, which was also fine. What was not fine is that when I took the printer home, it wasn't working properly. The black was printing as red stripes. I called them back and left about 12 voicemail messages over the course of a month to ask them to fix it again and never received a return call. They took my money (about $120), did not fix my printer, and refused to call me back to fix the problem. That's not ok. read more

Really great service. Communication was great from the start and the turnaround to get my Epson printer back was super fast. I've been using it all day today since I got it back and it's chugging away like it's brand new! I will definitely come back. read more

Deens Electronics is an excellent service center. At a loss when my Epson printer stopped working, I found Deens Electronics on the Epson site as the nearest service center to my home. A trip to Fremont was well worth it when greeted warmly and assured that in 24-48 hours I would have an idea if my printer was fixable. Imagine my surprise that within an hour or 2, it was fixed and ready for pick up! In these days of quick recycle, it seems a reasonable idea to think about fixing first and using a printer as long as possible with your working computers. Thank you to all at Deens Electronics. read more

Brought in my printer, the staff was super nice and accommodating. My printer just stopped working and somehow they fixed it in less than 48 hours . They also were willing to stay past closing for me to pick up cause I was stuck in traffic , which helped me out a lot. Really relieved cause I was about to spring for a new printer . read more

My printer stopped working and it was super bad timing. Went to Deens and he told me to buy new printheads for my HP 8500 wireless all-in-one. He said he didn't want to charge me the minimum $49.95 because, after looking at the printer, he was sure that was the problem. Super honest and nice since I just lost me job. I bought and installed the ink cartridges and printheads and printer is working. Thanks Deens!! read more

Excellent service ethic! I called Deens in Emeryville as authorized Epson repair center because I read they were better than Computronix for repair of m Epson printer, even tho farther away from me. My printer wasn't working at all. The tech, whose name I didn't write down, spent 15 min verbally walking me thru a fix that I could do myself. No charge. The other places I had called wanted me to bring it in. Also his quote is very good for fixing another problem I'd given up on, the mechanism that feeds the paper. It broke a long time ago and seemed too pricey to fix. read more

I've had my Epson Stylus Printer for seven years and finally it needed servicing due to a paper jam. When I went to pick it up(the next day), I was shocked to find out that I did not own anything more than I had initially paid in the beginning! Hussein was very personable, a real people person! I recommend Deen's to anyone with a printer problem. My printer works like new again and the cost was minimal!!! Thanks Yelp for the initial high ratings for this business! read more

I wasn't happy that the fuser unit on my Brother MFC9340CDW broke after only a fraction of it's expected life. Deen's was straight forward in identifying the problem and timely in the repair -- going the extra mile to work with Brother to get the non-warranty part in quickly at no extra cost for me and greatly reducing the printer downtime for me. read more

Deens Electronics provided me with quick and excellent service. I was also surprised at the very reasonable cost to fix my Epson printer. He was able to fix my printer in about 30 minutes. When I returned to pick up my printer, the technician demonstrated to me that the printer was repaired. I was very satisfied with the repairs and recommend Deens to others. read more

This place is very unorganized! I wanted to take my printer in for repair but could not get through to a live person for over a week. When I finally did, I could not understand the heavy accent. I finally took in my printer for repair and it still fails. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was unavailable. Terrible customer service and poor quality repair work. The place looks very unprofessional. I will NEVER go here for repair again! read more
