Deckers Brands owns the brands UGG, Teva, and Hoka. For many years, I have purchased UGG boots, and they are my all-time favorite boots for keeping my feet warm and comfortable in the cold winter. I have tried other brands of shearling boots, and none of them are as great. Furthermore, my husband and I have purchased at least a few pairs of HOKA sneakers. They can be expensive, but I often find styles that I like on sale or clearance for lower prices. The HOKA sneakers always fit my feet well and feel comfortable. They have a thicker outsole that is not flat, so it seems to provide more cushioning and support. read more

I've been trying to resolve a single issue with Hoka for FIVE MONTHS, and it still hasn't been resolved. I originally purchased a pair of Hoka shoes, and within a few months, the sole started separating from the bottom. I contacted their warranty department three separate times, each time including photos and proof of purchase...and received no response. After two months, I finally heard back. I was instructed to send the shoes in for a replacement, which I did at my own time and expense. Instead of receiving a new pair, I was sent someone else's used, dirty shoes. I contacted customer support again. They apologized and issued store credit so I could reorder. I placed a new order on January 20, 2026. Although the shoes were initially backordered, I was told they would ship by February 3 at the latest. It's now been over a month since the item came back in stock, and my order has still not shipped. I've followed up multiple times. Most recently, I was told my order would be canceled and my store credit refunded within 7 days. That deadline has now passed with no update. At every stage, I've had to chase down responses, repeat information, and deal with broken promises. What should have been a simple warranty claim turned into five months of frustration. I used to hold Hoka in high regard. Based on this experience, I can't recommend them...especially when it comes to customer support and integrity. read more

They have a warranty but they don't/won't honor it and will find a way to invalidate your claim. While that's a major disappointment, I guess it is completely normal way of doing business now. The shoes were a gift in December, started to be worn in January, and, by May, were coming apart from the sole and the heel. While it's their prerogative to evaluate the shoes under the terms of the warranty, what's insulting is that their official denial says that the shoes coming apart is completely A-OK and they aren't covering a replacement. It's WILD to me, as a consumer, that a replacement wasn't an option, nor was a discount on a future pair (I was looking for ANY kind of decent remuneration) so I guess what is left is to tell and warn others in the hope that someday someone will consider what best-in-class companies look like so they can aspire to that instead of just hoping people like me just go away. read more

Yelp might be a good place to get real reviews so you can make an informed decision. I usually check reviews before I shop. I am so disappointed with the Better Business Bureau's rating system. I was fooled by the A+ rating on the BBB site. But then, after having several not-so-stellar experiences, I looked into it more and found something that explains a lot about how Deckers manipulated that rating! Google Ai: "Customer Reviews: These are customer opinions and are displayed separately on the company's profile with a five-star rating system, but are explicitly excluded from the letter grade calculation." BBB Customer complaints/reviews do not factor into the calculation of the official BBB letter grade rating. The rating primarily reflects the company's efforts to respond to and resolve formal complaints filed through the BBB system. Haha. The good news is that there's no better way to get them to respond to your complaints than posting them on BBB because they are sure to "apologize" after each bad rating. Normally, customer service is not quite as diligent. Check it out: instead of just going to the BBB site and checking company overall rating, search for BBB reviews on Google, you'll click into a plethora of one-star BBB reviews that are hauntingly similar to mine: poor quality products, indifferent customer service---but then after each review, you'll see the empty "We're sorry about your experience" response from Deckers! I have spent a lot of money on Deckers shoes. What do they say about doing the same thing again and again and hoping for different results? Yes, I must be a fool because, time and again, including buying a new pair of Hokas for my daughter a few months ago, their shoes don't hold up, especially Hokas and Uggs. Hokas simply fall apart after moderate wear, and although they feel like cushy clouds when you first slip your feet into them, all the padding near the toe area causes uncomfortable cramping and calluses. After this last round, I think my daughter who uses them for city walking finally agrees they are not worth the money. I won't be buying her another pair. LOL. read more

With the unpredictable 2024 era of climate change and impact as torrential rain storms with flash flooding of extreme weather as per "this is possibly our new normal and we must fight the ravages of climate change" - NYS Governor Kathy Hochu. I need my own counteroffensive while in the passage of my travels to perform my Sisyphean Task and need a specifically designed for heavy rain and heavy snow women's boot. These boots are very tight when inserting my feet as the interior's real fur from Australian sheep or lamb wool lining is very thick, but warm and fuzzy. It is very difficult to remove the boot from my feet at day's end, but very comfortable like indoor slippers. My previous non- UGG snow boots were worn from nearly five (5) years of NYC autumn and NYC winter wear and tear battered usage and UGG's Adirondack III Boot $250.00 is my replacement. Price comes with quality and quality cannot be compromised which my $250.00 was worth the price. I'm glad that shipping and handling fee was free for my order placed, but $22.19 tax was charged. Days later I received a "Thanks for shopping with us" email followed by "Your opinion counts" survey email in Deckers Brands's effort for customer relations and retention. UGG's Adirondack III Boot enables me to err on the side of caution and wade through extreme weather from the effects of climate change with wary, but with peace of mind and resilience. read more

On 7/21/23 I returned a pair of UGG boots using their pre-paid USPS return label. UGG refunded me that day so I bought another pair online that day. Ninety-one days later, on 10/20/23, I get an email stating that my return box only had 2 envelopes in it (so bizarre) and I now owe them $150.41 for boots I returned!!!!. My USPS receipt says the box weighed over 3 lbs when I dropped it off. The box was not empty (or having only 2 envelopes); the boots were in the box when I delivered to package the USPS. I filed complaint with USPS and received a voice mail from the USPS Inspector General Office stating that the package weighed 2 lbs & 14 ozs when UGGs (Decker's) shipping agent picked it up from them (I don't know who that shipping agent is). I have given all this information to UGG and they still say I am responsible and I should take it up with the shipping agent. However, UGG will not tell me who that shipping agent is so I can inquire with them. UGG sent me a picture of my return box empty. Perhaps I should send them a picture of my closet with no UGGs in it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My USPS receipt is far better evidence than their picture. I hope the small claims court agrees. There was $100 insurance included with the pre-paid shipping for which a claim would have needed to be made 60 days after I shipped it. Because UGG waited so long to inform me of this matter, my insurance claim was denied. I have found several strikingly similar complaints on various other sites (BBB, Trustpilot, Google reviews). This seems to be a trend with their shipping agent/receiving warehouse. This issue has been a stressful nightmare. The one star reviews for this store is not an accident and actually totally appropriate and not a hyperbole of any measure. I have worn Asics, Patagonia, Mizuno's and Brooks and love them for trail and city running. My friends in the running group swear by the comfort of their Hoka's and thus I decided on taking a chance on them. As I was visiting my folks for the 4th and they were in the market for new pair of shoes, I decided to take them to the flagship store in SB to have them fitted. The comfort of the shoes is where the good experience ends. This store is a travesty to any customer service whatsoever. The store employee's demeanor and willingness to assist with any queries is a stark contrast to any professional establishment such as REI or foot locker. Despite explaining what was needed (comfortable shoes with ample cushion for long standing due to teaching classes at the university), they offered no suggestions. We thus asked them to provide us with their lightest and softest shoes so that we could do the assessment ourselves as they are incompetent or simply unwilling. Also a fair amount of coaxing and cajoling was required to get them to bring a foot measurement device for actual feet measurements and taking rational approach to finding the right pair. I was shocked on how sub-far an infuriating this experience was compared to my experience at REI while getting my Merrells. Furthermore, while inquiring about return policies, we were told there is no return policy on worn shoes. Inquiring further, I learnt that there is a return policy on poor manufacturing but that will be assessed and the shoes can only be returned with the physical copy of the receipt. With all the hassles of this store, if I do buy another pair of Hoka it will be through Amazon and certainly not at the SB store. If you do come to the store due to Hoka brand loyalty, just come here to see what style you like and buy your Hoka's elsewhere where customer service and assistance means something. From my perspective and this rather sour experience, I will continue being a patron of Mizuno's and Brooks which are equally comfortable, have excellent products and are sold at stores with tangible customer service. read more

I bought a pair of Clifton 8's online; they did not fit. Upgraded to Clifton 9 at Deckers showcase/Goleta. After 2 weeks of light wear, the shoes really hurt my feet. Called the store; the policy is return only if they are unworn. The online policy is 30 day return for any reason! Lo & Behold...the fine print: I went on Hoka chat to see if I could return them. The rep was barely informative but gave me a return label; in checking the fine print, "if you are eligible for return" (IF) you will be given an online store credit. Who knows how much you might get back due to wear! So no returns at the Deckers store Goleta and a BS return online (of which you pay for shipping) and then take the chance of a partial refund. I will stick to Brooks and Asics from now on. Both have returns/refunds no matter what the situation. The store employees/management are totally unprofessional and unwilling to help.They act like you are bothering them if you ask for help, even though there are 5-7 of them standing around talking! No friendliness or helpfulness, just back to their little group chat/phones! I imagine if you do manage to get a refund, it's "store credit" only! read more

Very impressive store, huge array of shoes, high end costly shoes and clothes. On 11/26/2023 we bought 4 pair of shoes there. Four days later one pair of Hokas was brought back to this store to exchange for a larger size... the shoes were used on a jog and were cramping the toes. The store's asst manager, who had rung up our purchase, was reluctant to take the shoes back for an exchange. (REI has no problem with exchanging HOKAs purchased with them) After much verbiage and insistence on our part the asst manager ordered a replacement pair of HOKAs online and charged our credit card for this shipment. He then took possession of our returning pair and gave no receipt for proof of the return saying that the credit would be issued in a few days. REDFLAG! After two months of phone calls to the store and to corporate and being continually put off and after several visits to this store for face to face inquiries with the asst manager and after starting a chargeback claim with our credit card company...we eventually got our credit back at the end of January 2023! Because we live closeby we were able to "get in their face" about the elusive credit...otherwise, we would still be on the phone to them!! Hokas are great shoes...this store NOT so great...customer service and salespeople most definitely not friendly or helpful...borderline surly....will not be back EVER. The worst shopping experience of my life. I couldn't wait to get out of there. They had some totally obnoxious music playing on the loudspeakers. I mean awful. I don't like rap but it would have been a pleasure to listen to that instead of the crap they played. My wife and I were the only people in the store and I asked the salesperson if she could please turn the music down. She said that they weren't allowed to turn it down. They had to keep it at a very loud volume. I could barely hear the salesperson. The music was physical and mental torture. The only suggestion I would have is to fire the guy that picked the music and fire the guy that set the volume -- immediately. Deckers sales would improve immediately. Although I live in Santa Barbara and have been to the store several times, I wobe going back. I'll call ahead and make sure the guy was fired for picking the music and keeping the volume at an excruciating level. I'm also selling my Deckers stock. read more

If I can give this a 0 I would. This was the worst customer Service I have seen in a long time. My Wife wanted to go and see if she could buy some more Uggs for her and my daughters. As we walked in there were two associates at the register talking. They did not acknowledge us at all. I had to initiate the conversation and asked how they were doing today. They seemed disgusted or disturbed that I even spoke they seemed very annoyed. My wife and I proceeded to look around as one of the workers followed us around the store picking up displays and pretending he was doing something. My wife and I were looking to purchase something but after the terrible customer service we decided to walk out in disappointment. This all happen on Saturday April 13, 2019. I am having an issue with my left foot and my podiatrist recommended that I go to the Deckers retail store at the corner of Hollister and Los Carneros in Goleta,CA and check out the Hoka brand walking shore, "Bondi". The store is very attractive, the sales staff extremely helpful with a selection of Teva, UGG and HOKA brand footwear. I purchased a pair of Bondi walking shoes. I have worn them for two 2 mile walks so far. Yesterday evening my back and hips were a little sore but by today's walk I was good to go! They ARE different inside but VERY comfortable. My podiatrist mentioned that a relative has plantar fasciitis and she is "thrilled" with the Bondi. If we have to only buy "made in America" athletic shoes , we would probably have to go bare foot. I make every effort to support American producers and hopefully, now, we will have more. Meanwhile , check out HOKA! read more
