I would definitely go back for that. We also got the Cobb salad, which is a must so if we go back, those would be the two meals. We would absolutely get if somebody else came. We would have them try something new and steal some of their food, otherwise it's fun basic to go to if you want to see the water. I've been popping in to Deck 84 over the past few years as it's in a great location and usually has something for everyone. With that said, I think last night was my last visit. I tried three times to make a reservation for a birthday party of 14 - all of whom are local and have been to Deck 84 numerous times - no one called back but I finally was able to make one over the phone. Our server, Adam, was terrific - no complaints whatsoever. He was friendly and efficient. The problem is the food - menu is way overpriced for the atmosphere and quality. In fact, they are nearly the same price as J&J's Seafood, La Casa L'Acqua, and La Cigale - restaurants that are way out of the league of Deck 84 which is a glorified pub. Unfortunately the burgers weren't even that good and most of us were served cold fries. The Manager was great by having the fries recooked and a burger was comped after sending it back twice. In fact I have no problem with management as they gave us a 10% discount and eliminated the $10 cake fee. They need a new chef and a better menu. $30 for fish and chips? $20 for a bad burger? Not terrible but if you can't make those easy meals tasty and looking good on a plate, you need a new chef. How about better buns? Pickles? Relish? PIckled onions? $45 for short ribs? I'm originally from RI but I live outside of landlocked Atlanta now so I miss these types of establishments. My daughter lives in Del Ray but I introduced her to it. We tried some sushi, wings, the krab rangoon nachos (sooo good) and the drinks were half of. I tried the pool boy because my fav alcohol is 1800 coconut. They offer value parking. It was $5 and there is indoor and outdoor seating and both areas have bars. The staff was friendly and attentive. As soon as we got there, hostess asked if we wanted inside seating or outside. Of course we wanted outside. Beautiful night, about 630. She said it would be about 20 -25 mi uses for an outside table or immediate seating inside. My partner was hungry, so we opted to sit inside. I could see from my table, an empty table outside. It sat empty for 10 minutes, while we waited for our drinks. THEN, someone was seated at that table. There was NO 20-25 minute wait. We left. The food was dry, especially the meat. My husband ordered a ribeye steak, which looked like an old dried up piece of beef. Very tough and no taste yuck. I ordered beans and rice with chicken on top. What a great find! I have been to Delray many times, but never here. Hard to find a view of the water in Delray, and they have it. Highly recommend sitting in the bar area because you are a bit higher up and have more of a breeze and a view of the intercoastal. This is my second visit this week. My first was Saturday night Listening to a live band and tonight (Wednesday) was live jazz. The music was very entertaining, but it is the food and incredible atmosphere that makes this restaurant so special. For appetizers we ordered for the table the delicious guacamole and the cheese& spinach dip. This was followed by dinners- fish & chips, Hawaiian chicken salad, and burgers. Portions were large and very tasty. My wife had one of the specialty drinks that she said was very good. The service was impeccable- glasses were refilled before asking and food was served in a timely fashion. One of my pet peeves is when the waiter comes to the table and asks " who gets the ...." Here, the waiter knew exactly which dinner went with each diner. I give tremendous credit to the manager, Lauren, for creating such an enjoyable dining experience . This is a really great Burt Rapoport restaurant group restaurant on the intercoastal in Delray Beach right on Atlantic Ave. We got to this location on a Monday night with a full house and a fun atmosphere. The staff at the reservation desk put us in a perfect table on the water. Kianna was our server, and she was excellent. Kianna made some great suggestions for apps and dinner for us and steered us away from the not as popular dishes. Plus, she made our wives happy by suggesting the more popular drinks. We had the delicious Gen Tsao's cauliflower and the smoked fish dip. Dinners for the table included a yummy Blackend Shrimp salad, Cevichè bowl, Seafood Mac and cheese, Flatbread, and I went with the really tasty Schnitzel with a white sweet potato mash. We went to Deck 84 for their Weekend Brunch and were pleasantly surprised. Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach is extremely busy, driving at 5 mph gave us a chance to check out all the restaurants and people watch. Luckily, they have valet parking, so we were happy to not search for a parking spot. We sat on their outside deck on the intercoastal, and the view was spectacular. If you have company from the frozen tundra up North, this is the place to take them. I had the roasted mushroom omelet, which was very good and the rest of our party seemed very happy with their selections as well . Moving on with my review, I was skeptical given the ambiance and prices here, that the food would be most likely over hyped. I'm glad to say, however, that our experience today was actually quite delightful! For starters, the blackened fish sandwich was fantastic as the Mahi was extremely flaky, sauce tasted house made, and veggies were fresh too! Although I didn't order the blackened shrimp caesar, I can vouch that the salad possessed fresh veggies, perfectly seasoned shrimp, homemade croutons, and a delicious house made dressing.
