Steve and I had a beer from Deciduous Brewing Company a while back and we really liked it a lot. It's rare for me to rate a IPA really, really high on Untappd but this was one of those rare occasions in which I did. Brother of Mine was the name of the IPA we both had. It has Citra and Topaz hops in the beer which made a very pleasant hop combination to the flavor profile. Flavors you should expect to find in this beer are maltiness, hoppiness, bitterness and citrus. It's also a very pleasantly dank beer. The beer: IPAs are good. The heavier, sweeter options cannot be called beers. Beer based milkshakes? Not for me. The space: small, windows face a parking lot. Not very nice at all. Service: fine, no issue. Price: over priced. Over all: there are many excellent breweries in the area with better beer, prices and space. read more

Wow, I love the beer here! They have a great selection available on tap (if they have the Frubulous Pour and you like Milk Sugar beers, you MUST get it!). Plus, they partner with a pizza shop next door that will deliver to your table at the brewery, so you can really make a trip of it! They have several tables outside with umbrellas and a few tables inside, too, so there is space for everyone regardless of weather. And they are conveniently located down the street from a few other restaurants and shops, so you can make the experience what you want. The parking lot here is big and free, which is nice, and truly the beers are more than enough to make this a sole destination place to stop, but they also offer a few small snacks on-site, too, to give you balance without having to go anywhere else (pretzels, trail mix, etc.). Deciduous Brewing Company is a newcomer to the NH craft beer scene, but a very exciting one at that. They've been selling their beers around scenic Newmarket NH since early July this year and their tap room opened a few weeks ago to the public. My wife and I swung by the place on our way up from Boston to Wolfeboro and it was a very worthwhile pitstop. There's plenty of parking there and the town of Newmarket is pretty neat. The folks there are very friendly and their space which is located in a strip mall is absolutely stunning. There's a lot of wooden accents and a beautiful logo of theirs on top of a fireplace. The bar wasn't completely finished yet but we could see some of the barrels in the brewhouse from across the room, via a large window. It felt inviting and warm and we immediately each got a flight of four of their beers to try. Each beer was very unique and tasty. Their berliner weisse was made interesting with the addition of blood orange and lychee. Their porter was nice and creamy, with a hint of smokiness. Very unique and definitely stands out. Chatting with them I found out that they'll soon be filling a giant oak foedder with some beers which should make their craft beer even more interesting. I definitely will be keeping an eye out for what is next and look forward to returning. read more

Deciduous is the "go to" brewery for me. I am an IPA guy and there are not many better. I am very happy they have Easy Operator on tap all the time now. I don't know but I think this is or could be their flagship IPA and have started to see it in stores. I can tell there is a passion for brewing excellent beers here. The staff is always friendly and the space is very inviting and laid-back. Newmarket downtown in general is a great place to go eat after a stop at Deciduous. Their outdoor space is surprisingly very comfortable and private from the parking and our pup Greta likes going also. read more

During these times, I was unable to actually go inside and spend time at Deciduous, and the decor did look very nice for a high-ceiling, fairly open-spaced area for having some craft brews. That said, curbside pickup was pretty straightforward, and while one might have been able to roll up and order on the spot, I simply placed the order ahead of time and then was able to show up as soon as their space opened up (which was at 3 PM). It's in the back of a parking lot with some other businesses, but it was pretty easy to see, and although there is a request for make of your car on the website (I believe), you just park, walk up to whoever is manning the front of the store and give your name - easy enough for getting the beers and other merchandise I ordered. I did come a bit out of my way to get the beers - about 35 minutes one way from where I was staying in Maine - but of the New Hampshire-based beers I had the chance of trying over the course of this summer, to me, Deciduous was clearly the best. While they make a number of different varieties (like most breweries), their best ones - and the ones they focus on the most - are their IPAs. The Research series is very good, but the other one I tried (Gravity's Pull) was also exceptional. They are hazy like many a New England-based IPA is, but the flavor profile has the same juicy mouthfeel but with a much more hopped-up flavor. It's a great blend of what originally made an IPA stand out (the hops) and the evolution in how it looks and feels. I'd come much more frequently if I lived close by, but aside from a couple of the breweries right across the border in Kittery, if you are in this part of southern Maine / eastern NH, Deciduous is the place to come grab some delicious brews. read more

Arrived before noon and they were already open, even though they don't technically open until noon. Friendly staff, helpful in determining which beer you may like. No flights, only 4oz and larger pours. All of the beers were delicious and refined. Such a gorgeous space. We got a small charcuterie board which was as amazing as the beer. I only discovered this fabulous beer destination in January of this year, and have made the drive up from Boston probably a dozen times since then to enjoy their incomparable beer, served up in an unpretentious inviting atmosphere featuring consistently friendly + excellent service. Someone here on Yelp posted a 1-star review complaining about the service: I am certain they were hallucinating :) Actually I drink very little, enjoy maybe a few beers a month, am always on the look-out for the finest craft brew IPAs, of which there are so many offerings these days. I can say without reservation that the Double IPAs I have quaffed here at Deciduous are hands-down the best I have ever enjoyed. Their list features a nice variety that includes Pilsners, sours etc., but they always have on hand at least a couple of serious IPA offerings. In the course of my ongoing research I find that usually when doubles get intense, they tend to develop a somewhat acrid quality, and can taste a bit boozy. The creations of the Brewmasters here avoid such pitfalls, and every time I go up there they have something new to try that I haven't seen yet. The doubles in particular (and even an occasional triple) are incredibly juicy, variations on a great theme, with beautifully distinct + satisfying hop profiles. I was so taken by the quality of their "Eternal Dreamer" DIPA that I dedicated a musical composition to it! Once I get a good recording of it I look for to sharing it with the filial community of Deciduous Brewing devotees! Inside, Deciduous is a cozy place to hang out thanks to a large fireplace, couches, and lots of board games. Outside is nice though the tables basically sit in the parking lot. Still, I prefer being outside with my beer on decent days as to cooped up inside. Again, the tap list is short, but there is at least a variety. read more

A bunch of Ripoff Artists. I moved to Newmarket in 2018. I went to their brewery in August of 2018 with a 48 ounce growler from another brewery. I was told by the bar keeper that they wouldn't put beer in the growler but only their own growlers claiming that it was a NH law. So I paid $4 for their 25 ounce growler. I researched the NH laws to find that I was lied to! I have gone to other breweries with other growlers that were accepted. Some would go with growlers without any labels. I have since then never went back. Today 2/8/20 I returned the growler and found out they dont return your deposit. I will never do business with people that lie! read more

Went to Deciduous on Saturday. What a great afternoon in New Market. The brewery is beautifully decorated, the staff was informative about their beer and very friendly. The beer tastes were spectacular. Different tastes, loved the Aerophyte. Bought some for home, as well as other varieties my husband enjoyed. Such a quaint town. We walked around the town and heard Christmas carolers, shopped in some quaint shops and had dinner at the Oak Room. Wow, what a meal. Found out it is recently opened and our dinner was scrumptious. A must have is the Caeser Wedge. They actually had Aerophyte from Deciduous on tap. Such an added treat. Can't wait to head back to New Market and see what else Deciduous and the town have to offer. You wonder what people are thinking when they start these brewery businesses. I went once with a coworker and the experience was subpar and the beer was average.
