I love this store. It's always well stocked, beautifully arranged, and the employees are very helpful. I habitually buy my deli meat from them, my kebabs, and my chicken cutlets. All are excellent. The produce is sheer perfection. And one of my favorite things is their chicken salad! It's perfectly done. The only thing I wish for is that the salad bar was a little bit bigger like the Armonk store with more to offer. I miss the quinoa, Farro salad that I get in Armonk. One of my weekend reviews.... Stopped by DeCiccos in Harrison, hit the deli dept for some Mac salad, nothing fancy. Do NOT waste your money! I paid $ 6.25 for sloppy mayo and peppers of every color. Check out (male cashier) - zipped his lips closed when I was next to check out. Customers before and after got a " hey how are you?" Me not even a thank you and I brought my own bag, where I bagged my own groceries - so I heard the cashier speak to the customer behind me. It was creepy because the cashier looked directly in my eyes and said nothing as he handed me the receipt. It's a big deal because I took a detour off 95 to visit this store. I was in the store last week (I'm a regular since I live nearby), and they usually have the most helpful and wonderful staff. I typically go towards the end of the day because of work, but recently I've had time to go in the mornings. There are usually the same older cashiers that have been there for years. This is the second time they have openly talked badly about me in Spanish (I'm bilingual). It's just not nice, to say the least. They clearly don't like their jobs, always look away when customers arrive, or leave the register to avoid assisting. I hate to say it, but I'm looking for different options! Truly a great food purveyor. We always find what we want. The service and selection are top of the line. They thoughtfully provide everything--and with grace and smiles. They made $1.20. And lost a customer. I've been alternating between DeCicco Harrison and North Shore in Mamaroneck for two years, but that will change now. I went to DeCicco to buy a gallon of milk, and it was $5.60. At North Shore it's usually about $4.40. Often less. I know DeCicco is significantly expanding their site. Perhaps they have to charge more to accomplish this. But the downside is...what happens if they lose lots of customers? As it is, they've already lost one. Care to join me? read more

Horrible "Customer Service"! I returned a watermelon that I had purchased from the Harrison store the day before. It smelled like carbon dioxide when I sliced it open. My guests took a bite then gagged and threw up. The next day I returned the unsliced other half of the watermelon and told Anthony, a store manager, what happened. He inappropriately and unprofessionally shouted at me in front of many customers as he claimed that this has never happened before. Maybe because I asked for my money back? And I also wanted to warn him that the watermelon could be potentially a poisonous food item. He gave me such an attitude that I decided to write about this incident on Yelp. He should not be a manager in a "family-owned" store which claims to provide the "finest produce, best quality meat, etc.) In fact, he should not be employed at any store which considers itself to offer excellent customer service. He behaved like a brat. Not a good image for this DiCicco's, is it? The store lost me as a customer and I will spread the word around Harrison about this incident with a surly store manager and watermelons that reek of carbon dioxide. (carbon dioxide is potentially dangerous and toxic when it is ingested by human beings. It is used as a fertilizer to increase plant growth) read more

What a great little Italian supermarket! Love the bakery which has a steady supply of fresh baked breads and cookies. The prepared hot food section is extremely yummy and a real life-saver if you suddenly have company that you need to feed in a pinch. As others have mentioned, it's not the cheapest, but it's nice to get what you want with the quality you want in the quantity you want. I quite like getting their circular and there are always some good items on sale. I also love that it's walking distance from our home. Cons: They're switching from one computer system to another so it means that the consumer discount cards are not always registering for the full discount as advertised. Please ask them to use their store card to avoid errors or remember to check your receipt and ask to refund the difference in cash. I just got $11 back after checking $30+ receipt, so the difference can be significant! Hopefully, this is a temporary problem. read more

Great selection of delicious foods. Extremely helpful staff..really outstanding !! The beer selection just blew me away. They have delicious chicken salad and this gazpacho salad is terrific... it all looks so good!! But be careful..there are things in the fridge that have old expiration dates.. I accidentally took a container of marinated mozzarella balls with two weeks expired date. Also I recently picked up a container of their guac that had some mold in it. So just be careful. I love DeCiccos. I've been coming here for years. The store is beautiful-especially after their recent renovations. It's a little on the pricier side but everything from there is very good and the sales associates are very friendly and helpful. I was recently there and made a purchase to restock my fridge and the girl checking me out named "Yas" was very helpful and sweet-as are the other cashiers- and not only that she bagged my groceries properly, instead of throwing random things together she organized them in groups while bagging. Now a days everyone looks miserable at work, but this girl had the biggest smile on her face. If I'm at DeCiccos and Yas is there I make sure I go to her register. I've had great experiences with other cashiers as well. They have great hot food and very good sushi options. this place is a 10/10 read more

I can't believe some of the reviews I have read. I love this store and am willing to pay a little extra because I find everything to be so fresh. The store is ALWAYS clean and there is ALWAYS someone around to help. Personally, I have never had someone be rude or nasty and I am sorry for those who have. Outstanding produce. Not always the widest produce selection but what is there is consistently fresh and high quality. I can always count on DeCicco's for produce, meat and fish of quality and freshness. An amazing range of craft beer, cider and other libations - an entire aisle to choose from. I love the selection of specialty and imported Italian products, and am grateful for the thoughtful (though small) gluten free / dairy free section. A nice feature in such a small store. DeCicco's has extremely helpful and knowledgable staff in specialty areas and I've found the staff unfailingly polite and helpful. Prices are at a slight premium and the selection can be narrow for some basic staples (paper goods, for example) so I can't make this market my sole grocery shopping stop. Even so, it's a fantastic store. I gladly pay the premium for the quality of produce, meats and fish. read more

Love this little grocery store. Has everything you want if just in smaller quantities. They have a nice little buffet setup and charge by the pound. Bakery, too, is nice. Like many other smaller stores, prices aren't cheap but they aren't exorbitant either. I bought the family-size Pulled Pork. 40 oz. like $15.99. I had to drain and rinse off the BBQ Sauce that tasted mostly like ketchup. I replaced it with Sweet Baby Rays Sauce. I thought I'd reached the nadir with DeCiccos turkey gravy. There is sooo much good food there, these glaring examples really stick out and are more than unfortunate. read more

So...I tried it again. Silly me. Sale flyer had Mickey Mouse ice cream pops on sale, as well as Nestles Toll House cookie ice cream sandwiches-and the sale price was the regular price I pay at ShopRite! Score! Save myself a trip! Again, I should have known better. The Mickey pops were melted, refrozen and crushed. Neat trick! They actually fared better than the toll house sandwiches. Those poor things were melted and refrozen-with the ice cream outside of the sandwich, refrozen into the corners of the little cellophane bag they are packaged in. Again, it's my fault because, well, this is s store I ran in to get orange juice, only to find every bottle of my family's favorite brand have the safety seal on the cap sliced through or peeled off. So why would I expect expensive ice cream treats to be in any better shape. Lesson learned: if I want a $6.99 package of 6 ice cream pops to be intact, I need to take extra time and go to ShopRite. read more

They have an amazingly well stocked chilled craft beer selection, as well as growlers. They fill 32 and 64oz's of well priced sometimes hard to find beer. A good addition to the area not only due to beer but because of the large selection of specially foods. A tad pricey for everyday items though. read more

Although I would like to see more disinfecting of the carts, I want to compliment management for working hard to keep DeCicco's as safe as possible for their employees and patrons. The awning they put up very early on was much appreciated. They do a great job of limiting the number of people in the store and have good flow with directional signs on the floor. HORRIBLE!! EXPIRED PRODUCTS!! I can't tell you how many times I have purchased expired items!! They do not check their dates thoroughly and heard from numerous people in town they change the dates themselves. Very clean. Employees always seem to be cleaning, restocking, etc. Great beer selection. There is almost always a warm loaf of bread in the red sleeves in the bread basket. I think they bake bread all day long. The deli workers are friendly and always seem to be moving. read more

Thank you DeCiccos for coming to your exact location. You are a blessing. Quality selection. Great butcher, beer selection, hot buffet food, imported foods and deli counter. I seriously feel blessed to have you a two minute drive from my house. Cons: 1.Fruit is SO overpriced. It kills me! 2. The cashiers and baggers are always non-stop chit chatting with eachother. They are friendly enough but just not so attentive to the customers. Their conversation is really important, the customers not so much. Our conversation is always "hi!" and then " debit or credit?" There is never a thank you or pleasant conversation. Then when my hands are totally full they try to hand me my receipt. Also, some are really rough with that expensive fruit and it's all banged up by time i get home because they throw it into the bags. I am in this store almost daily and spend a significant amount of money here. I have been shopping at this location for years. When it was a Finest, Food City and now DeCicco's. There are definitely other stores cheaper, but the produce is none other as well as their meats and deli. As the expression goes you get what you pay for. Very good quality that can stay in your refrigerator a few days without having to throw it away. I feel it necessary to site some staff who I feel should be commended for their customer service and jobs overall. First, Lauren, Nicole and Angelo, I usually shop mornings but I do come later in the day. They are always working, whether stocking shelves, fronting shelves, cashier, customer service, bakery, shopping for call in orders, etc, always busy. I look forward to shopping as a result of their caring and kind demeanor. We all know how shopping is difficult these days especially with the prices and lack of anyone caring about their jobs anymore. These individuals make it enjoyable. Whenever an item I usually buy is not in stock they get it for me right away. Tony the manager is wonderful and helpful too. My heartfelt thanks to these people for their service and dedication. They are an asset to the DeCicco's team. Second, Desmen, Itiel and their is a women in the meat department as well, who are amazing. When ever I have a question, or need a cut of meat, they do not have out, they are on top of their game and take care of me. All the meats I purchase from this department are fresh, lean and cut well. The meats I purchase are beef steaks, veal steaks, chicken tenderloins, chop meat, basically all cuts and types of meats. These workers definitely pay attention to detail to deliver the quality of meats they do. The sausage my entire family loves. It is lean and delicious. When cooked it is moist. A perfect combination of sesaoning. I give a gold star to Desmen who has a talent. I am most certain other customers will agree with me. I have been cooking sausage and have gone to high end stores, small mom and pop italian stores, this sausage comes in first for us. Thank you Desmen for your skill, great job. Third, Michael, and a few others in the deli who are very helpful. We like cold cuts sliced a certain way and most times they slice them perfectly. Thank you for caring about the customers. In conclusion, I am just a customer in the store I am not related to anyone I have cited in this review. All of these compliments have been earned. The key word here earned not just given. My philosophy in rearing my children and teaching, good behavior gets rewarded, bad disciplined. We do not often hear the good in this day and age only bad. Over the years I have grown to care about these employees because of their superior treatment of me.
