A5 Wagyu for 25%

This little supermarket is very clean and modern :) there's a cute little parking lot right next to it and compared to Daido it's definitely newer, but they don't have some items like fresh wasabi or other kinds of vegetables unique to Japanese recipes. The bakery as well doesn't have as many variety of dessert as Daido. The cakes look yummy but it's almost $7 a piece which just isn't worth it in my opinion. However, the quality of meat and at the price they are selling it for is crazy!! In addition on Saturday's you can expect an extra 25-50% off. I foresee myself coming here every Saturday just for the meat. They also have prepped meals and fresh sashimi.

Bento! Grilled Saikyo-yaki sawara fish, potato salad, hijiki, sweet vinegar daikon radish.

Great Japanese grocery, deli and bakery! It's a wonderful addition to the Westchester county, balancing out with Daido in White Plains and H-mart down the road. Frontier's strengths are quality sukiyaki and shabu shabu style beef+pork, pastries, and Japanese bentos. Here is the breakdown. * Quality sukiyaki meat at an amazing price. Much more selections of pre-sliced wagyu beef and pork to cook a restaurant quality sukiyaki and/or shabu shabu at home! I just bought really nicely marbled Washugyu beef at $7.99/Lbs, it was kiriotoshi (means remnants in Japanese) but it was great quality part! At Daido sukiyaki meat is often sold at $18+/Lbs and they are frozen. Even for remnants) Seeing multiple selections of wagyu beef is extremely rare (no pun intended), and this place even carries a Miyazaki Wagyu Rib Eye at $79.99/lbs...holy molly. * Authentic (and delicious) Japanese bentos: Great selections of bentos. Come here for an authentic and tasty Japanese food when you don't feel like going out nor cooking in. * Bakery: Perhaps this may be the highlight of this place. This tiny shop called "Crea" sells cakes, baked fresh daily on the premise. Cakes are refined, delicate, elegant delicious. It's a special occasion cake, each slice is $6 which I think is an ok price for the quality. Lady M in Manhattan charges $8.5 to $10 a slice with similar quality cakes. There's also cakes at Tous le Jour inside H-mart but I like Crea's cakes better. Definitely I will be a regular here. Pros: * Great quality pre-sliced wagyu sukiyaki and shabu shabu beef and pork at an amazing price! * Unusual selection of specialty wagyu beef * Great selection of Japanese style lunches (bento, sushi, tapas, curry-rice etc) * Really yummy cakes! * There are 2 private parking lots off the street Cons: * Not much fish selection at this point. * Cakes go fast! We went in one afternoon and most cakes were gone... Maybe call ahead?

So, so good! My friend and I were at Spirit Halloween store across the street when I noticed this Japanese market/deli. I've been recently watching YouTube and the mukbang. Which is these people who just eat Korean/Japanese food. And one of the episodes was they went to their local deli and bought all these snacks/foods. I was really excited when we came in and saw the variety of sushi items, sandwiches, sodas and everything in between. I stocked up to bring home with me. Everything that I bought was yummy! Can't wait to visit Japan and Korea to immerse myself in their culture and food. Would highly recommend this store.

Great selection of Japanese goodies (frozen, pantry staples), and really good prices too! Friendly helpful staff. Organized aisles.

I was directed in a positive direction and found some great items to purchase for my son! Thank you ladies for all of your help and thanks for what you do for the community! Cheers!

I originally wanted to grab some Bye Bye Baby items for a co-worker's shower- but they've since shut down. Lo and behold, Rice Factory- located at a strip mall on Central Ave In Scarsdale, was staring at me. I'm not here to tell you what type of rice milling equipment they use- because one: I don't know and two: I won't pretend I know because this is all new to me. What I do well is- is how to cook commercial rice I get from my local supermarket. With a natural, light color wood and modern design in mind, it's also serene as Japanese instrumental music played in the background. All these details made me feel relaxed. Rice F. makes it super easy for you to select the type of rice and how much you want it milled. The entire process was an eye-opener. I chose the 100% white rice- and I get it- at this point of the milling process, most (or all) of the nutrients are stripped. If you're not coming here for the milled rice (I mean...why wouldn't you?), Rice F. also stocks tableware supplies, small ceramic serving ware and a complete range of these delicious rice crackers which I got my hands on to try, a can of Japanese sardines and of course, a 2lb bag of milled white rice. Service was incredibly pleasant and patient as one of the ladies took the time to explain how to cook Japanese rice. For all your rice needs- and a little beyond, Rice F. is your spot. And the bonus? Most of the time they are still warm on the bottom. Just the apple. The other flavors must be made elsewhere because the crust is not the same. No, I'm not a fan of that other place, just not impressed. More impressed with a place way further up county but it doesn't matter. Westchester Greenhouse makes the best Apple Pie. Yes, I have busted into this pie in the car many times. Forks ready. The pie is still hot, folks. Seasonally, the apple cider donuts are the best anywhere. Yes, better than That place. And that other one up there with the mazes, and bouncy houses and things you don't want or need or have to pay extra to walk on their property. Donuts. That's what that line is about. It moves fast. They hand you the box in the line, they are hot. And with more apple cider taste than those other places too. Apple pie and apple cider donuts. Oh and Wave Hill breads if you can't make it to the farmers markets. Everything else is a plus. Plants. Produce. Wreaths. It's all good. I should buy raspberries from them and tell them to make be a custom raspberry pie with that crust they have on their Apple.
