There seemed to be a HUGE emphasis on snacks, packaged items, and frozen foods. For example, I picked up a can of chickpeas with cumin and parsley and noticed it had around 740 mg of sodium per serving--with only two servings in the can. That really made me question the "health-forward" reputation I've always associated with Trader Joe's. Of course, not everything in a grocery store has to be low-sodium or healthy, but I guess my expectations were simply different based on everything I've heard. Ambiance- Then there was the shopping experience itself. CHAOTIC! The store was so crowded and hectic that we could barely maneuver through the aisles comfortably.
