This is exactly what it's advertised as: a DISC golf course. DO NOT believe the DeBell website (or other 3rd party apps) that advertise this for actual golf. It is an apocalyptic wasteland that will be nothing more than an all day hunt for lost balls in knee-high fairway grass. YES...fairway grass. I wish I had taken a drive-by photo of one of the "greens" you can see from the main road. It is a dry, dusty, patchwork of dead strips of what used to be grass, surrounding a very lonely flag. On the upside, if you're looking for a setting for an indie zombie film, this just might be your place. read more

I've played some of the best disc golf courses in SoCal and some of the worst and this place falls fairly in the middle. One of my biggest issues with DeBell are the lack of proper tee pads and lack of proper signage which can lead to frustrating rounds. They conveniently post a map at the office, but to keep referring to a map you take a picture of on your phone constantly can get annoying. They try to update uDisc regularly, but again, when it's not accurate, you're left trying to figure things yourself. Terrain is another problem. For the most part it's well maintained, but if you're paying 6-8 bucks to play on this course, there's a part of you that wishes things were a little better. On a rainy day or the ones after it, don't expect good footing anywhere. The biggest problem though are the people. The staff is actually wonderful and very friendly...but the patrons can be hit or miss. It's a shared course with regular golf and some of the ball golfers can be a bit rude or aloof. Sure, it's a problem anywhere, but I've seen a lot of golfers not follow proper etiquette (slow play and large groups) and feel entitled to the course since it's for "golf." When you get past all it's faults...DeBell is kind of a hidden gem. In a big, mostly flat city like Burbank, there's not of open space and going up that hill past downtown Burbank, there's some really beautiful nature areas to find. On a sunny day with a cool breeze, playing here is a real delight. Away from the busy streets and noise of the city, you can really spend a calm day here. As you overlook the city, it's one of the better places in town to take in a sunset. Sometimes, you'll run into some nature with everything from lizards, skunks, rabbits, and the occasional deer. As far as disc golf goes, the course is mostly good. They change the layouts regularly and the positions can be in challenging positions...other times it feels like someone just moved the basket without any thought to why a hole should be that way. There's everything you want from a course...decent amount of trees, distance, and elevation changes. It's only 9 holes and there isn't a lot of long holes, but it's a nice challenge if you wanna spend a couple hours working on your game in relative peace. read more

Me and my son showed up today to play disc golf and they were about two hours and 15 minutes from closing. We went up at 4:45 PM today today is March 7 2026 when it clearly states that they're open at 7 PM we wanted to play. We are season disc golf players and he was closing it way too early. That's my complaint. If you're going to go someplace folks find another disc golf course play you have to pay and then you have to play. You know it's ridiculous just as us for a nine hole course save your money go buy snacks and go to another one for free. read more

Fun and challenging par 3 course. Every time I have gone there have only been a couple of other people on the course. The greens are very small and the grass isn't the best but you can still have fun and practice. It will really challenge your ability to chip/pitch the ball to get up and down for par. Some of the tee shots are blocked out by trees so you have to bail out or fly the ball under the branches. The tee boxes are all mats. Price went up from $5 to $6. read more

Very disappointed! Been a Burbank resident 55+ yrs. Been golfing here since the 80's. Don't waste your money golfing here anymore. $4 seniors. The greens are horrible. City is not taking care of it. I can't believe they actually consider this a golf course. The regulation course looks beautiful. However, the pitch and putt is a pile of crap! It shares the course with a Frisbee golf course! Pros: $6! Plus, if it's slow, they won't charge you to go around the second time! Cons: Brace yourself This place is advertised as disc golf AND a par 3 golf course. They clearly cater to their disc golf customers. That's fine I guess, but there are things that could make it friendlier to golf golfers. Do NOT play this course if you get easily frustrated because my god. First off, they put their tee box mat at such a steep angle, the ball rolls right off unless you stamp down on it. The place is hilly which adds a welcomed challenge if your shot ends up off the fairway, but this should not be a thing for teeing off. There's gotta be leveler places to put these mats. Another dead giveaway that this place caters to disc golf is the green upkeep or lack there of. Mud, dry spots, straight up dirt is littered through the majority of their greens. And if you like a challenge of putting over and around insanely massive amounts of debris, this is the place for you! Twigs! Tumbleweeds! Mushrooms! You name it, it's on the green. There is tons of it and I mean EVERYWHERE! It felt like mini golf a lot of the time. Side note: typically water hazards are for full courses. But their sprinklers are on in the middle of business hours while people are trying to play. That's considered a water hazard right? Oh and the BUGS!!! This could be a very fun little place to kill some time. But this place is definitely meant to be played by throwing a frisbee over a plethora of debris rather than hitting a golf ball. If you wanna fit in 9 holes in under an hour, this could be great but unfortunately it's not. So if you wanna golf, lucky for you there's a real golf course right up the road. read more

Not a bad little spot if you want to work on your short game, go out for a quick refresher game or take a beginner out for a fun day on the course. I am not going to say that the conditions are ideal by any stretch of the imagination. The holes are short(longest is 90 yards, shortest is 60 yards) so all you really need is a 9 iron/PW and a putter. However they do provide more than ample challenge with obstacles and very small greens. There are some irrigation issues so you may find some swampy water hazards along the way. There is ample tree cover and a breeze so shade is nice. The course is affordable and offers Burbank resident, student, child and seniors discounts. I play here a few times a month on different days and times and never have to wait to play. If you are looking for a great little quick spot to go and have some fun , this will fill the need. The only reason for the 4 star review is the course conditions but you must remember that this is a municipal course not a country club. read more

What the course lacks in size more then makes up in fun to play. The 9 hole course is easy to follow from basket to basket with interesting lines of play. Although it could use a beer cart but it's a fun little course to play on a ball golf course. Great course to learn to play on by challenging enough for veterans. read more

9 hole course set up beside a par 3 golf course. The obvious things are: short holes, limited obstacles, and the opportunity to get stuck behind a foursome of less than proficient golfers. We lucked out on a Monday afternoon to be sharing the course with a frisbee twosome and an elderly golfing couple (moved quicker than expected). Played through in about 30 minutes. Great change of view from our normal courses. We'll definitely go back to play again. 4 bucks for adults. Good all day. You could go around 3 times in the morning and twice in the afternoon. The course needs improvement, particularly on the 18th hole. No signage and tons on beer bottles littering the area. Many of the cart paths are not kept up i.e. road erosion and overgrown plant foliage. Stay away from the bar food, atrocious food and over priced. read more

Usually a great course, but I asked the manager Joaquin why the greens were so terrible and he laughed and said "yeah, they are really bad because we are irrigating them". I couldn't even put out several holes. I paid full price and asked why they didn't disclose before I started the round?? He laughed and said "oh, I charged everyone else $29". Well since I paid $45, can I get some money back to be fair ?? The manager says "it's not our responsibility" . Even though I paid DeBell $90 (2 players) he said it's the price when I booked the tee time. He didn't give a refund, coupon, or even say sorry. Just that it's not his responsibility, but it is... he is the manager of DeBell. The greens were unplayable. Terrible service and management. DISC GOLF REVIEW This is a great course for playing with people of mixed skill levels. Open fairways mean less chopping wood and there is a wide variety of hole lengths so you can really air out your drives. For an experienced player, not very challenging, but a nice place to work on fundamentals. Plenty of ace runs and enough variation to work a few different types of drives. Fantastic group of home course players. Very welcoming and involved in the course. They hold a weekly tournament on Thursday afternoons. Green fees are now $5 (a little steep but oh well), but you do get as many rounds as you want. PERFECT place to introduce friends to the game or have some relaxed rounds to work on your mechanics. read more

. A wild and wacky little course that's loads of fun! I laugh at these people who complain about the course conditions--do you actually think that golf is supposed to be EASY???? Look at the original golf courses in Scotland, 500 years ago....basically seaside sheep pastures full of rocks, gopher holes, and dried sheep turds; not a single good lie on the entire course. Great golfers never whine about course conditions! You gotta step up your short game if wanna make PAR at DeBell Par 3. Sticking a ball on these tiny rock-hard greens means dropping a ball straight down from the sky with your Mickelson 60-degree wedge. And putting on those crazy dance floors is like the putting at the US OPEN--only the strongest survive! (Be nice and repair pitch marks, though balls tend not to dent the frog hair.) I use a 60 degree wedge on most of the tees and a 55 wedge on the three "longest" holes. If you miss, a 9 iron helps with chipping. If you think the course is easy, keep in mind that the record there was set by a 15 year old boy who birdied every hole!!! Think about that as you putt to save par. (& the old timers in the starter shack are fun and pleasant as they can be.) . read more

Decided to try this place out after a terrible experience at the Verdugo Hills par 3 (see my review). Honestly, this is a 2 star place but it gets the extra star just for the price like others have mentioned; you can't really beat the $4 (non-Burbank resident) for 9-holes. The holes are super short, I think 90 yards is the farthest hole. All you really need is your pitching wedge, sand wedge, and putter. All the greens are in pretty bad shape - a lot of dead grass, thick grass like the fairways, etc. I guess you can't expect much for how much you're paying to play. It's great for a quick 9-holes of golf, you can finish in 30-40 minutes if no one is holding you up. read more

Very inexpensive little par 3 course situated at the base of a hill and across the street from residential houses. Easy to just walk on. Biggest obstacle are the ravines. No sand or water to speak of. read more

Very mellow and friendly course. Not as interesting or fun as an Oak Grove type place as it's a pitch and putt ball golf course with baskets. Have played a few times and enjoy the fact that it's much less crowded than places you can play for free. Have only seen a couple of ball golf groups. The guy running the pro shop is always very nice. You can play as much as you want for the daily fee. We usually go around twice. read more

We had reservations at 9. Arrived at 8:45. By 10:20 we had ent even revived our food. We hadn't gotten 1 refill on our "bottomless" mimosas or even coffee. De Bell holds a dear place in my heart. Yes it's got short holes, and yes you putt on browns not greens, but it's where I learned to play. For $4 on the weekend you can come out and suck it up and not feel bad about playing like crap, because it's only $4 and you're not embarrassing yourself on some nice fancy course. Also, I prefer this over Los Feliz or Arroyo Seco. Why? 1) It's cheaper. 2) It's got character. The holes have elevation. #3 you're hitting 60 yards up 10-15 feet onto a flat green. #4 and #9 you're going over the arroyo. Also, #9 has a crazy break on the green, and they'll place the pin at the bottom of the sometimes, which means you're chipping on and praying it bites because the greens are brown and feel like concrete. The guys working there are cool old guys that watch sports all day and don't seem to care if you work on your game dropping extra balls. Also, if you're low on balls, look left in the bush area between the #9 tee box and green. You can usually find a few if you dig around. read more

This is a fun little course to work on your short game or teach your kids how to play golf. Holes range from 60-90 yards and there are limited hazards. The price is tough to beat: it's $4 to play during the week and $6 on the weekends. The greens are not good, but you get what you pay for. There are two things to be aware of: 1.) Pace of play on weekends is SLOW due to families & kids out there messing around. I recommend playing on a week day between 2-4. You can squeeze in 9 holes in 40 minutes easily. 2.) The place only accepts cash. If you're like me and rarely carry cash on you, you'll have to stop at the ATM on the way. Not a real issue until you get attitude from the old guys working the desk. Look, if you don't want to deal with $20 bills, start taking credit cards like 99% of other golf courses (par 3's included) do. I understand there are processing fees, so raise your prices by 25 cents if you have to. You'll still be the cheapest course around. I played last Tuesday (7/17), handed the guy a $20 and he acted like I had just burnt down his house. Very annoying. Bottom line: if they started taking credit cards or stopped giving attitude on $20 bills, my rating would definitely improve. EDIT: They now take credit cards. read more

This course is okay, but you're better off going up the freeway 15 minutes to the Studio City Golf Course, which is much better maintained. DeBell has lots of dead grass and leaves on it. It's cheap though, so that's a perk. read more

I don't know enough about golf to really hate a course unless it's expensive. I like that this course is away from the real course up the street near The Castaways Restaurant. I think this is a decent course with some challenges for the beginner, and I can't stress how much of a beginner I am. The holes are long enough for me, but I can see how it could be quite a bore for golfers who are seriously competitive. I paid $6 to play nine holes on the weekend, and I think that's reasonable. A fun little course, and really cheap. The holes are all really short, but the greens are really small so it keeps it challenging. Super chill and fun 9 hole par three course. It's $5 on weekdays and $7 on weekends but you can play all day. There are 3 different ways to play within the course. There are the standard tees but they also has a red cone tee and a blue cone tee that they use for tournaments. Joe and Jerry are nice guys. I go with a buddy and we take some brews and usually play between 18-20 holes. The maps are located at the pro shop and it's fairly easy to figure out. The most challenging hole is hole 9. Go out there and have some fun! read more
