Nail polish came off 2 days after getting painted with what was supposed to be gel nails.
    Katie V.

While the service was very friendly and I thought my experience was normal, my gel nail polish literally fell off 2 days after I got them done. I paid for a French manicure with gel polish on Thursday - they came off on Saturday. I put my hand in my pocket and felt something in my pocket - it was the nail polish that fell off as whole pieces. Very much not something that should happen with gel nails too. This has never happened to me before and was very expected. The toe nail polish for my pedicure has held up well and not had any issues (and it was not gel, it was just regular polish for the pedicure).

I've been going here for over a year now and I only get gel manicures but they haven't done me wrong yet! They always take care of my cuticles, they don't skimp of the hand massage, they ways ask if I want another coat, and they're they type of spot that you can call 20min before you want to go and make an appt. Pro tip, you can always be one of the first ones there on Saturday mornings!

my favorite nail spot in DC. Their SNS lasts the longest and I ve had my fair share with trying different salons around DC in the past 10+ years. its also super clean. it can get busy, so i recommend you making an appointment beforehand, especially on the weekends. I might regret this later because I wanted to gate-keep my favorite nail artists (as I want to be able to make an appointment with them later on) but my all time favorites are Molly and V! also try to go there with cash as they have discounts for paying cash

Mimi shaped my nails so perfect I'm obsessed

I love my nails so much!! Mimi did a beautiful job on my nails they look like inspo pictures, my shape is immaculate it's flawless I can't get over them. I got 137 opi princess rule and the pearl chrome

Sadly, I won't be back here. I just left and was shocked at the outrageous price difference between the last time I was here and today. I didn't even know that places charged extra for shaping and nail length, but as you can see in my photo, my nails aren't that long. And I was not charged for length or shape at my last appointment Trent. I also don't understand how chrome could be $22 extra... the lack of transparency coupled with the ridiculous fees means this is my 2nd and last time ever at this location.

Hannah is the BEST! I showed her a picture of what I wanted (tips with design) and she executed perfectly. They are SO CUTE!!! When one fell off and I couldn't find it ( as they do naturally), she offered to fix it for free. When i wanted to come in on her day off, she hooked me up with her friend. The service and the quality is incredible. My nails look fire!

    Gel-X Nail Set

Beautiful nails!! I've never tried Gel-X before, but I prefer them to acrylic! Very natural looking and strong. This is the first nail salon that hasn't commented on my crooked fingers or burn scarring on my hands. Vivian attended to me and was wonderful at explaining the Gel-X nails to me. She was lovely, lively, and friendly. They fit me in as a walk in. The service included a hand scrub and a steamed towel which was unexpected and felt very fancy! I left with incredible nails and happy hands. Thank you DC Nail Spa!!

Sample I showed *before* tech started saying it was what I wanted.
    Adrienne S.

Horrible experience. I went in with the following pic before the tech started anything. The "finished" product looked nothing like the photo (you could see a nasty yellow line where my natural nail was under the acrylic and the jewels were large and spaced apart and unevenly along my cuticle). When I showed the pic again, I was told "my boss said we don't go off pics" and that I should've picked a color off the wall. I was also told that the sample I showed was of "natural" nails (super not, they're natural looking acrylics). I had to ask to have the messy jewels removed and the set painted over with the colors you see in the second finished product photo--complete with a lopsided shaped nail. To add insult to injury, I was rudely told to "calm down" when I responded to the tech rushing me to pick a color to paint over her crappy job. I wasn't even offered a discount for the hastle. Will not be going back.

Excellent service, Emma is new and she did a fantastic job on my fingernails. Obviously I got a Barbie look. She took her time and I got it right and no waiting and no appointment. I would recommend 10 out of 10.

I showed the nail technician the inspo and the result is so disappointed. This is the ugliest Gel-x set I've gotten.

Can't recommend this salon enough. Best ombré dipping powder manicure I have found in DC, quick service, and well priced.

What is included in the deluxe pedicure and what is the price?

The most expensive pedicure I saw on the menu was $55 and that was the Organic one. There are on some massage add ons.

How much for a dip powder manicure? and is the ombre additional?

Hi! It's $45 but Monday-Wednesday they do a special for $43 or $42... Yes I believe ombré is extra but not too expensive. Go to Lynn-she's amazing!

I usually go to Lynn or Thai but they are both out for two weeks on vacation. Any recommendations on a nail technician? Need SNS and pedicure service this week.…

Hi! Lynn told me to go to Vivian (owner) & that's who I'll be seeing next week before my vacation...

I am super picky about my sns. Which tech would you suggest? Do they have their colors on a color wheel or displayed?

Hi! I would suggest Lynn (manager) or Tai. I'm also super picky & if it helps, I actually have my nail license but just don't practice. They have every color you can think of in addition to specialty colors/designs-chrome, cat eye, marble, foils,… Read more

Do they do acrylic on toenails? (Mine toe has a circle shape instead of a square shape) ❤️

Thank you so much Marlon for your hard work and hospitality. Next, the ambiance in this place can whisk you away and make you melt into the chair. It was so peaceful and professional and a girl can get with that! My nail technician, Nelida, was absolutely sweet and accommodating as she started off a little rough when doing the cuticles on one of my feet and after I expressed it, she immediately adjusted and continued to check on me along the way. Her services were excellent and she massaged away all of the stress in my feet. What an experience! I would say that the pedicure basins are cute but felt a little crammed and that was because of the items that the staff needed to place on top of it in order to do your nails. But, this didn't deter me from the services because the experience was worth my time and money! Definitely recommend this place for the person looking to get away and enjoy quality service! They are very eco-friendly and clean-something I truly admire. Cannot wait to visit again!

The person I had while visiting had a gentler approach, despite my request to dig. It was clear she wasn't very experienced, though she was sweet as pie. On the plus side, she did an outstanding job with polishing my toes.

I was warmly welcomed when I walked in and asked to sign in, and then I walked back to the pedicure chairs. My nail techinician, who didn't introduce herself and was not particularly warm towards me, greeted me and got down to business. Now-I warned her that my feet were in a rough condition, so I didn't mind her being all business because these toes needed THE business. The pedicure service was fantastic!! my feet were scrubbed and rubbed, my toes nails cut and shaped, and my polish was summertime ready. My nail technician offered me water towards the end of my service, which I graciously accepted, however I noticed most people were offered a beverage at the beginning of their service. The spa is relatively cozy in size and efficient, no frills or luxury, but everything was tidy, and my pedicure was done amazingly, and completed in a bit over an hour.
