Lobster roll with fries and coleslaw
Nina Z.

Even though there is great variety on the menu, my husband and I both ordered the hot lobster roll which came with fries and coleslaw. It was absolutely delicious. All of it. Lobster roll, fries and slaw! Service was pleasant and quick. The little spot even has some tables and booths to sit inside to get a break from the sun. If I'm in the area again, I'd eat here again. Highly recommend!

Got SUCH a good lobster roll here! It was the perfect lunch for the beach and super close to pick up. The lobster-Mayo ratio was perfect and the chunks of lobster were the perfect size. No unnecessary celery or other fillers in there. The fries were crisp and well salted, and the coleslaw was a refreshing bite in between the roll and fries. I also tried the crab cake sandwich, which was also great, just not as refreshing on the beach because it is hot. My family ordered from here a couple of days in a row because we were so impressed!

Things are still weird at restaurants as the world starts to reopen after Covid. We found this place via Yelp, because we were in Bethany and I wanted a low key casual seafood dinner. I wanted the experience we'd had in other beach towns of being near the ocean and having a variety of yummy things. This place is tucked in the back of a weird mall sort of building. We weren't sure how it worked or what to expect. We stepped into an area with a counter and a HUGE menu written on a chalkboard wall. It was confusing-- like too many different options, in varying sizes, but all sort of the same. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food for 2 people: clam strips, scallops, shrimp cocktail, crab balls and a lobster roll. The kitchen area is right behind the counter where we ordered so it was easy to see that they were busy. There seemed to be a lot of to-go and takeout orders. There also seemed to be an excessive number of people in a small area and the person who took our order didn't really seem to know what she was doing. She had to ask someone cooking how to add a couple of the things we wanted to our order via the register. No big deal. Then we sat in their dining room, adjacent to the ordering/kitchen space. There was some soccer game on the tv in the corner and the volume was turned WAYYYYYYY up. It was annoying enough until the game ended and we got to hear the same loop of music and information over and over again, while we waited 30 minutes for our food, before someone in the kitchen changed the channel. The food was exactly what we expected from what we ordered and we enjoyed it all. It was a little pricey, but that was also expected, given the location. I see that others have said the dining room was dirty. We did not experience that. My look into the kitchen also found it to be up to cleanliness standards.

Cheese curds

Literal hole in the wall... in a mall. Was pretty confused trying to find the place. The people working were very kind and they have seating off to the side. But to get to the point, we got two warm lobster rolls which came with fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw was eh, fries were crunchy but the lobster roll... it was pretty dry, which was a little off putting since we had high expectations. You're better off going across the street to mason's. However, we did get the cheese curds which were delicious but kinda over priced considering the portion size.

So so good we went every day! The crab balls, crab cream soup, soft shell crab tacos, and ceasar salad were fantastic. It takes 20 mins so you can call ahead to order.

Awesome food. I need to go back, the service was excellent along with the atmosphere as well. Will take my fiancé with me this time.

The food here was phenomenal. It's in a humble setting, but don't let that deter you - we had incredibly fresh and delicious scallops, fried shrimp & crab cakes. Truly excellent. And the fries and coleslaw were great, too. Quick, no-nonsense, and delicious.

My friend and I looked up the review for this place and decided we had to come here for lunch. We called them ahead of time so the food would be ready for pickup. I gotta say, the hot lobster roll is pretty damn good. They didn't skimp, and the bread tasted pretty good. Wish I grabbed some hot butter but it's all good. The fries were also delicious (I kept downing them with the coleslaw). I also tried the oyster roll and that was also solid. Definitely an awesome place to eat a lobster or oyster roll. Note: this location is inside the building. They have a booth that is outside just a few steps away but that's always packed so if you want it fast, order ahead of time from the inside location.

Yummy place!! I really wanted to get a warm lobster roll (hard to find since they're usually the cold kind) and I wasn't let down. Great portion but definitely pricey. To be expected with lobster though so I didn't mind - this was a nice treat. Lobster is quite rich to me, so this whole roll is a lot. I got cornbread on the side and it was delicious. The coleslaw was great too. I would definitely come back here for other items on the menu too. I haven't been to Bethany Beach for years, so not sure when I'd return. But I would recommend this spot to people visiting.

I was visiting the area for work, and after seeing reviews about this place here on Yelp, had to check it out! It's a no-frills seafood place right on the corner in the main town center. Walked up, ordered food, and they had it out pretty quickly on both my visits. I had the lobster roll (cold) which was AMAZING. My second visit I had the shrimp po boy which also was delicious (the shrimp on it were huge!!!) but the lobster was my favorite. Fries: they give you lots of them and good thing because they are tasty! Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area!

This spot is worth the stop and the wait. I got lobster rolls and they were so delicious and the fries were perfect. Highly recommend coming here if you are in the area.

We came back tonight determined to try their food. We came in with two groups eating and waited to be seated for about 4 minutes before someone came to seat us. Felt odd for the wait but it appeared there were only two people to begin with. Upon being seated, we were served water which is what we wanted and we placed our order. I loved the fish cutouts they had on the wall next to us. Took about 10-15 minutes for our food. We started with the pizza and it was exactly what we wanted. Simple but the flavors were there! Pesto, garlic and the mozzarella cheese that pulled apart string style! Maybe could have been a crispier crust but I was happy to have all those components hit the mark. We dug into the pasta and OH MY GOSH!!! Again, the simplicity of this dish with perfectly balanced flavors. The basil and the garlic on point! Oh and the sauce, light and a refreshing hit with lemon. Shrimp and scallops not over cooked. I kid you not, I would have licked this plate clean if my husband wasn't with me! I cannot fathom why we were the only ones in this restaurant because both dishes were delicious!!! Thank you so much for feeding our seafood cravings. WE WILL BE BACK! Only sad that we found it our last night here. Do yourself a favor, please support this restaurant. This has been added to our MUST GO TO places while visiting.

I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. The staff here are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On Black Friday I purchased another $1k in gift cards for the off season from Off The Hook and Hooked in OC. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.

I also applied my balance to my gift card from November 2024, excluding gratuity. I returned here again around 4 PM with my friend for happy hour on lobster Tuesday. I enjoyed my two rum and cokes for $5 each. I also enjoyed my two Big Oyster Midnight Kraken draft stout beers in a snifter also for $5 each. I also enjoyed my lobster tail jambalaya for $22, which I was able to finish this time, since the quantity was decreased due to inflation. My total bill was $41.50 excluding gratuity, which again I used my gift card. We agreed we will continue to return here for happy hour.

I also enjoyed my usual tuna poke for $15 with white rice, carrots, pineapple and jalapeno peppers. I ended my meal with a pineapple martini for $8. We returned here for our second visit with our friends. Since there were five of us we sat in their second booth on the right. Again Mike stopped by to say hello. I started with my margarita with salted rim for $9. Kelly delivered our dozen of the Chunu Virginia oysters for $12 to also say hello. I also enjoyed my two pineapple martinis for $8 each. I also enjoyed my tuna and salmon poke for $16. We also shared a bottle of Trefethen chardonnay for $58 with the Friday 1/2 price wine reduced down to $29. My total bill was reduced down from $143 to $114. Lindsay S. served us very well as usual. We returned for our third visit on Friday. We sat at the table to the left of the entrance. We are vegetarians and were dining outside with our Samoyed service dog. We requested a very minor modification to a menu item -- removing turkey and substituting two eggs over easy, since there were very limited vegetarian protein options available. Our waitress kindly informed us they did have eggs, but later explained that the chefs "do not make substitutions" because that is simply how they operate. What made the situation frustrating was that the restaurant was mostly empty at the time, so it did not appear to be an issue of being overwhelmed or unable to accommodate a reasonable dietary request. We spoke with the manager but never received a clear explanation or any attempt to work with us. For a restaurant that presents itself as accommodating and upscale, the unwillingness to make such a simple vegetarian substitution felt unnecessarily rigid and not particularly customer-friendly. The outdoor seating was pleasant, and the waitress herself tried to help, but the overall experience left us disappointed. Restaurants today should be able to accommodate basic vegetarian requests, especially when they are simple and reasonable.
