I really can't find anything remarkable on the menu, and their prices are ridiculous ($65 for a $35 Chemex??) which is really unfortunate for the staff that seems put off by their knowledge of this fact. There are a lot of other roasters in the Denver area (Novo; Corvus) that deserve your attention. read more

I like the location, but this place is way too crowded. It makes it hard to have a conversation or get anything done. The coffee and pastry selection seemed fine, but my hot chocolate was too sweet for my taste. Most of the staff seemed pleasant, but the woman who helped me was dour and unwelcoming. I'd recommend this place for people watching, but not for high quality drinks, intimate conversation, or getting stuff done. read more

I love that the staff goes out of their way to know your name and your drink. They don't just push you through the line like you're a piece of livestock. read more

Good coffee. Not much for meeting random people though. However, one huge knock is you have to ask for a bathroom key full of disgusting germs and sticky stuff. Not of fan of that. This is Denver, not San Francisco. Bathroom keys have got to go. read more

Coffee is ok, chai is watery, and specialty drinks such as mochas are forgettable. The staff is very friendly and the free wifi is always a plus. Still is a good "community" coffee shop to hang out with friends or other pastimes. read more

I love this place, the barristas are great, and coffee is good...the only complaint is: icy snowy sidewalks all along the Downing St side of the front of the Coffee Shop.. The lease owners (or the property owner) need to be responsible to see that the sidewalks are shoveled. read more

Setting is nice; location is key for my place. Staff is friendly. You know how everyone used to say Starbucks coffee tasted burnt? It did, but they did something to their roast and now it doesn't. I think Dazbog might have picked up the burnt bug though. Their coffee tastes okay, but the whole establishment smells like burnt coffee now. This used to be one of my favorite coffee shops a few years back. I know they can't do anything about it locally, but if you're an exec reading this, please take note. They sugary snacks look great, but I never indulge. Other than that, a good stop after church. read more

I wanted to go back to Novo but the group I was with was headed for Dabog instead. I'd give a nod to Novo but Dazbog makes a fine latte as well. read more

I would definitely have to say that this is an awesome coffee shop in the middle of Denver's gaybourhood. It has very awesome hot chocolate and chai, terrific staff and the desserts are to die for - especially the chocolate ones! read more

Good coffee, good location. Across the street from King Soopers. Only drawback is the street parking, it's a miracle if you can park close.

Excellent small-craft fresh roasted beans. Nice lighting. Good wifi, excellent people watching.

I live around the corner from Dazbog and frequent it pretty regularly. The Good: Convenience, a pleasant neighborhood feel with a diversity level reflective of the area, friendly baristas, free wi-fi, tasty pastries, they are open later than other coffeeshops in the neighborhood The Neutral: The coffee is OK (it serves its purpose), sometimes it can be hard to get a seat on weekends (evenings during and after dinner hours are the easiest times) The Bad: The baristas can be overly social to the point they forget orders. The silverware is often sticky (not a sign of cleanliness), the wi-fi is unreliable (but free), the girl who sits at the bar for days and talks on her cell-phone really loud. Given how much time I've been known to spend here, I must like it well enough. It's a nice place to hang out. read more

This is a great little coffee shop. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. The staff is super friendly and fast. My coffee was delicious and the selection of snacks was unique. I will definitely come back. read more

Dazbog's coffee is over-roasted. Their frozen chocolate coffee drink is the worst I've ever had. This place sucks compared to the old Diedrich's that used to be in this spot. read more

Love me some dazbog. I usually order a black and sometimes a yogurt parfait which I love! They staff are friendly and greet with a smile. They have an outside patio and a few tables inside. Right across from Queen soopers so you can have a coffee while you grocery shop. read more

Pretty good coffee but more than anything this is a friendly locals coffee shop. I love the people I have met here. The regulars will offer us a seat at their table so we can sit down and chat for awhile. The staff is friendly, and, depending upon the temperature, know if I'm going to order a hot or iced coffee. Now that's cool. read more

Extremely friendly barista, great selection of breakfast items, soft jazz, OK internet. Nice patio. Basic consistently good coffee.

I don't care if it officially a chain / franchise --- I love DazBog Coffee at 6:30 a.m. on the weekends when I am dragging a** on the way to snowboard. read more

I had a caramel chiller outsider here the other day and it was great!

Very good frappé's...but the atmosphere makes me................uncomfortable.

Perhaps this is not a fair review since all I wanted was a French press coffee that was not Starbucks. This place was a great find. I like the atmosphere and I read the bulletin board while my barista prepared my caffeine. (I like bulletin boards in cafes.) The coffee was to my liking, and that is all I had. I drank it outside on the patio. I will go back for more. read more

My inaugural review! Interesting crowd. Although not enough straight women to hold my interest. Dog friendly. Americano was ok, nothing spectacular. Sausage jalapeño pirogi was tasty but under-warmed in the microwave, a couple of bites were on the cold side. I trust it was pre-cooked and promise to post an update if I end up sick from food poisoning. Still looking.. read more

I like it here. It's a nice distance from where I live. It's great to just get out, enjoy the atmosphere and relax with a latte for a while. Also it's nicknamed Lezbog here in the Gayborhood. Things don't get much better! read more

I love to check out coffee joints when visiting new places and this one was near where I was staying. They had lots of choices and their coffee was pretty tasty. Definitely walk past the Starbucks like we did and go here instead. read more

Seriously surprised that no one has rated this place yet. It's a staple for this neighborhood and has delicious drinks as well.

A neighborhood institution of sorts. Coffee was great and in my experience the baristas were perfectly friendly and tailored my drink just the way I wanted it. read more

This is a fun place, esp on the weekends. I've never had a bad drink and the staff always makes my mornings! I just wish they had more of these stores around town read more

I"m not usually into chain coffee shops but Denver seems to lack small businesses so I go here. The people are always friendly and get to know you and the coffee is decent. I've never had anything I thought was bad. I would love to have more options nearby but I can get whole beans here and that is great. read more

Friendly staff and not the feeling of you have to rush out. Copmmunity activities board updates what is going on in the hood.

This dazbog is close to my apartment and Cheesman Park. Good coffee and a great place to "meat" people ;) I especially like the outdoor patio in front. read more

Convenient coffee shop located across the street from King Soopers. You find the same quality drinks and just average quality pastries than at other Dazbog's in town. However, customer service is great, lines are short, and it is a much better alternative than the nearby busy Starbucks. read more

I used to LOVE this place before corporate fired the entire staff and hired on new staff. I went for the first time after the new hiring and it was awful. The new furniture is tacky and cold. The rearrangement of the furniture is unwelcoming. The staff was not engaging and unprofessional. The drinks were bad and not to the Dazbog standard I've come to expect. This used to be a safe and welcoming place where the staff was always friendly, professional and enjoyable to see. Now, it's not. I will never come back to this location. Dazbog corporate made a HUGE mistake in firing the entire staff and rehiring inexperienced people. The community and quality was completely destroyed by their decision. read more

The prices are high. The food is crappy. The internet rarely works. The best thing going for them was the great staff. The great staff have all been let go last night. I can't see a single reason to support them now. read more

Will never go back. The baristas are rude and don't seem to want anyone there but 'their' people. It's a shame because it's a great location. I walked over to the grocery store across the street and got a nice cup of coffee from the Starbucks inside the store. I even got a smile and a thank you from them. read more

If you are looking for bad coffee, subpar baristas and poor customer service then this is the place for you!!!! If you are looking for good coffee, customer service and skilled baristas I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

The two guys that own/run it are really nice and great customer service. Lately I am getting tired of one girl there who simply doesn't care about the customers. She was sweeping one of the carpets to brush it off and all of the dirt was going in the air. My coffee tasted like dirt. I mentioned it to her and she mumbled something about doing some job or something. Then there are a lot of free loaders in there who buy one cup of coffee and hang out all day long using the internet. Get a life lol. Then the bathroom needs a key which can be a pain but its better than before when you could find some junkie passed out on the floor. Its mostly a good place, just sick of all of the dog lovers out front who expect me to like their smelly dogs and take up the beautiful curbside tables with their dogs. ... yeah, i'll take heat for that since Denver is a dog lovers paradise but not all of us like dogs...I just want good coffee with no hassle. NOw 2 years later... its April 2011 and The coffee blows. Nuff said. read more

Don't bother... In its heyday (when it was Diedrichs) the coffee was great, the baristas were personable, the bathrooms were clean and functional, the pastries were tasty. The only taste now is bitterness of bad service, bad coffee, and baristas who don't know much about customer service. There are lots of better coffee shops in the area (Pablo's, Daz Bog on 12th, Buzz). Maybe someday it'll be re-invented and the service, products, and community feel will be resurrected but until then, support better places... read more

I say if want a decent cup of coffee avoid this place. You will do much better at McDonalds, the coffee here is weak. The only reason it's busy or least looks busy is because of the location. read more

After working in the most popular coffee shop in Norway for several years, I feel I have a good idea what a good espresso drink should taste like. I have had terrible luck finding a decent place for coffee here in Denver. Ive tried Petes. Peaberry, and Ink!, all of them terrible. None of them know how to steam their milk. Its always too hot and too watery. They all seem to think that a cappuccino is just a small latte. Much to my pleasant surprise, this particular Dazbog, is a 2 minute walk from where I live. The staff is very friendly. They are always smiling and always very helpful. They all seem to know how to steam milk, both for a latte and a cappuccino. The espresso is always perfect and I cant even say that about the coffee shop I worked at. These people know what they are doing. I feel so lucky that I live so close to this place. There is plenty of seating and if you show up often enough, you get to know some of the other regulars. I took off a star because every other Dazbog I have been to has only been so-so. read more
