It was total relaxation from the beginning! I was already hooked before Kate came to get me for my service. Once I got to the nail suite Kate explained the process and each tool and product being used. It was nice to learn and see proper technique being done. The space is intimate as there is one pedicure chair and one manicure station so you truly get the techs undivided attention. But as soon as more customers started to come in--three for pedicures and two for nails--the entire vibe changed. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and from that point on, we were rushed through everything. My niece and I paid extra for the hot stone pedicure, but the stones were barely warm--definitely not what you'd expect for that service. The pedicure itself felt rushed, steps were clearly skipped, and both of us were cut by files or over-trimmed cuticles. It felt careless and uncomfortable. My mom and I also asked for manicures after, which were $22 each. Her manicure included a lemon scrub, hot towel, and hand massage. Mine, on the other hand, was rushed and sloppy--I was left bleeding from over-cut cuticles, no nail cleaning, uneven filing, and the "hand rub" was so quick it didn't even moisturize my skin. There was still visible dirt under my nails when I left. Oddly enough, during the pedicure, they didn't massage our feet at all--only our legs--which I found strange, especially since I asked specifically for a foot rub. Overall, the experience felt rushed, careless, and unprofessional. I understand when a business gets busy, but the quality of service shouldn't suffer this much. After trying a few different places, I came across Serenity Nail Salon during one of my shopping trips--and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was genuinely impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The salon offered both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, and of course I had to try the strawberry daiquiri--it was VERY good! I was quickly introduced to Christina, who made me feel right at home, and seated for my pedicure. At the same time, I met John, my manicurist, who was just as warm and personable. Both Christina and John were highly professional and made me feel completely at ease, like I had known them for a long time. In short, I've found my go-to nail salon--Serenity!
