To say this company provides amazing customer service, would be an understatement. Long story short, my 18yr old son got into an accident with a fire hydrant. (Watch out... those fire hydrants come out of nowhere ) 11k worth of damage. These guys took the time to explain everything to me, they worked with insurance, they started ordering parts before insurance approved it and once SF gave the ok, these guys were ready to work on it. They kept in touch with me every step of the way and they were so very nice. They were way ahead of schedule, washed and waxed my car and on the day it was ready for pick up, I had a hard time getting out to them so they dropped the car off AT MY HOUSE a half hour away, on a SATURDAY. (Who does that?!) They are family owned and it's very apparent that they actually CARE. They did amazing work. Thank you guys, Kevin, so very much. I appreciate everything, more than you will ever know. Glen and his staff are beyond great. My husband and I have taken our cars to Daytons for body repairs for over over 20 years..never want to brag that you've needed auto body repairs so often but each time Dayton has not disappointed. Their body specialists are professional and meticulous. Their office personnel are friendly and knowledgeable. Glen was upfront with estimated costs and was in constant communication with me during the repairs. I'm always very grateful when the customer service you receive is as good as the repaired to perfection service your car receives! Negative reviews?? We've used Dayton for 20 + years & I can't say enough good things about them. From the office staff to the boss, everyone of the folks who work here are friendly & helpful. Each repair is explained so I understand it. No hidden repairs or similar nonsense. Usually done in a reasonable time. One small issue: because they do good work they are busy. read more

I was shocked to see the negative reviews, but only can speak for my experience. My vehicle was in an accident and towed. I left it up to my insurance company to find a place. I was unfamiliar with the area where my accident had occurred. I feel my vehicle was repaired in a timely manner. And could not believe how great it looked! Anytime I called the receptionist was nice and provided me with the proper information. Not sure if it was the same person but she was just as nice when I came to pick up my truck I can't thank them enough for the timely manner in which they repaired my vehicle. read more

I have a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo that was in a rear end motor vehicle accident on May 13th of 2020. My wife and I have both received auto body work on both of our cars here before and we were generally pleased. I had my car towed there immediately. My Monte Carlo in particular holds a lot of sentimental value for me. It was the last car my Dad ever sat in before I lost him. I even fought with my insurance company for weeks when they wanted to total it out. I refused their offer and went to Dayton to ask for help. This guy Glen, who I guess is a manager there, told me how he understood having a sentinel attachment to a vehicle and how he has a vehicle like that himself. He said he would help me out especially since I am undergoing treatments for cancer. I left feeling confident and grateful only to have an $8000 estimate thrown at me a few days later. When I went there to speak to Glen to try and understand this estimate and see if I could work something out, he basically blew me off and stated that my car was a lost cause. He stated further that the owner of the company would not want to help me either and that there was no way to even get parts let alone fix it. 2 months later, my car is as good as new. Thanks to Ed and the wonderful crew at Summit Auto Body. They not only found parts but were so kind and understanding. They stepped in and stepped up. Dayton Auto is not worth anyone's time. The only bright spot at Dayton is the receptionists at the front desk. They were always kind. Dayton will ultimately gouge you and then will refuse to work with you. My car is back thanks to Summit Auto Body. Never take your car to Dayton. Go to Summit Auto Body and ask for Ed. read more

Just wanna say I had a very bad experience with another auto rebuilder where they totally screwed up my car talking to gleen gave a breath of fresh air every one is so kind to me the receptionist knows my name already lol lol this place gives me a good feeling a good vibe he's very knowledgeable about his craft and 35 yrs in business speak for its self now I can sleep good at night knowing my BABBY is in good hands thanks Dayton! I have had work done at this place before they did great work and I was happy to go back for a second time (with another car). Boy was I wrong, what a cluster. I think they are too busy to keep up with the amount of work that they have going on there. It seem like they are pumping out assembly line work. They left pieces of plastic under the hood, forgot to reattach my radiator, and now my Mechanic had to take off my grill to dig out a piece of plastic that they forgot about, that was wedging my hood shut. Which cost me and extra $75!!!! They did call me back to install the missing parts but why go back to place that you have had two bad experiences with. Don't bring your car here, take it to Jay Kay auto on Pulaski one block north of Archer. They do awesome work and you will bypass the drama. read more

Never bring your car here for repairs. The worst service and their customer service is terrible. Took my car here for minor repair to the bumper and they broke my headlight and tried to make me pay for it. I would never reccomend this shop to anyone. read more

Dayton Auto Rebuilders is a top notch automobile body shop. I've always used them in the past and the work they perform is extraordinary. I recently got into a car accident and when my insurance company asked me if I have a body shop in mind, I instantly said Dayton Auto Rebuilders. When my car was completed and I picked it up, I was so happy to see how it looked, they even detailed the inside of my car. The owner Glenn Radtke and the ladies in the office were very pleasant and said that they will do whatever it takes to make my vehicle look like it never was damaged and make it look brand new again. They actually completed the work earlier than they said it would take. I'm so happy how my car looks now, it looks like I just drove it out of the showroom floor. When I picked it up, they also gave me a coffee mug, a small personal fan and a pen and calendar. I advise anyone who is looking for a great body shop, then look no further than Dayton Auto Rebuilders. read more

Do not go to these guys. I called them recently and asked them a few questions over the phone and the receptionist was extremely snotty and unprofessional with me. Their website says they have been in business for 35 years and I am extremely surprised that they lasted that long! A receptionist is the first point of contact for a business and they are suppose to make a great first impression. This receptionist did not make a great first impression and I will not make a recommendation for future new customers to this business! read more
