We loved the one time that we went here for breakfast! However, the next day, we ordered takeout to eat at home, and when we went to pick it up, the owner who was working the register was unusually rude. We weren't expecting this, since the last time we dined we received exceptional service. Their credit card machine was not working properly, and instead of taking ownership of the problem and explaining it respectfully, he rudely said, "Nothing I can do about it, sorry!" and proceeded to throw our breakfast in the garbage right in front our faces. We really didn't appreciate the experience we had here and unfortunately will not be returning. Don't waste your time with owners who don't care about their customers- we go to Billy's in Moosup (less than 10 minutes away) for breakfast every week and everyone there is super nice, the food is superb (10x better than this place) and they care about their business! They would never treat their customers with the downright disrespect that Daybreaks did. What a disappointment. read more

Nice breakfast spot. Home fries were quite tasty. Waitresses were very friendly and attentive.

My favorite breakfast spot. The owners and all the waitresses are super friendly and attentive. The food is great. The only thing I wish they would change is the way they butter their toast. It seems like they only put a little dab in just the very center. But if that's the worst thing I can say(and I'm a picky one), then I think they're doing pretty well. read more

Quick Service. Food is average. Not bad, not great. Friendly and clean location.

I LOVE this place. Classic diner feel and great food. Some items can be a little pricey, but the simpler the better. Atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Favorite local breakfast place. read more

If you want traditional breakfast food at reasonable prices, you've found your Mecca. You won't find fancy dishes, or fancy people. What you will find are normal townsfolk and normal, delicious food. read more

I absolutely love this little place! I live close so I usually get a breakfast sandwich to go but I have spent many mornings having breakfast there. The food is delicious, the dinning room clean, and the staff wonderful!! I recommend this place to anyone who loves breakfast as much as I do! read more

Today we went to Daybreaks Diner as we have a few times now, we are new in the Brooklyn area and exploring various breakfast locations. The waitress was friendly and served us well. First , we noted the quality of food was below average but we kinda new this coming in , yet thought we'd give it another try . Most alarming however, I was 1/2 way done with my breakfast and as I went to take a bite there was a good size strand of wavy hair wrapped into my hashbrown and egg. Both my husband and I stop in our conversation and were speechless for a few moments. I instantly felt sick (we both were ) and I lost my appetite. I noted this to the waitress and the first thing she said was the cooks had short hair .... my thoughts at that point were "ok , but it came from somewhere and it's disgusting". The waitress took it back to the kitchen to show the owner/cooks, when she came back, again she said "the cooks all have short hair" , then ask , "would you like something else" . (At this point my appetite went out the door) Side note , There is no way it was mine the way it was wrapped into the food and I have short straight hair. I really had no expectations of compensation since I was half way done with my meal even though I felt gross. I feel the owner or someone should have taken ownership and at least apologize and that did NOT happen. We paid our bill and left a good tip (over 20% as we always do) and left knowing we will NEVER return. Having a business in food service , one would expect an owner to be genuinely concerned for their customers and ensure they are happy with the experience. I'm pretty sure the owner will hit the funny button on this review too, as I've seen on other poor reviews .... think about that folks, he doesn't care. So, you just might want to be concerned about what's in your food when you eat here. read more

Food is always great. Food never tastes greasy or like other people's food orders, basically you don't need to worry about your pancakes tasting like onions. Or your sandwiches don't taste like breakfast items. It looks and tastes really fresh. Friendly service. The diner is well kept and is handicapped accessible. Great place to sit, relax and dine. read more

I had a Fisherman platter and my girlfriend had the turkey dinner both were ok. I ordered a bud light. I watched it being poured and when it got to me and the head on it was gone it wasn't even a half a beer which I still paid for but it happened again on my next and I ordered a piece of chocolate cake for dessert and I couldn't believe that it was about 2bites so posses you guys are the worst at desert and that is being nice read more

This place has seen better days. Everything about it is just "okay". The specials rarely ever change so how can they really be that special? The used to have monthly specials. The food almost always comes very fast which is great. One of the fastest from giving to getting order. They could change the menu and specials and possibly ad a few more basic homemade items like biscuits and gravy and has and could be at least 4 stars. read more

This diner is the perfect place to stop in for breakfast or lunch. The owners, Bill and Diane are friendly and welcoming. The environment is wonderful, creating a lot of returning customers. The waitresses are great and the food is served immediately. The food is priced very low and you get more than what you are paying for. It is delicious and the cooks definitely know what they're doing. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend this place. read more
