Their antipasto salad is as big as your head. They include a nice size container of dressing 'on the side', but you can order more for a couple of quarters. The produce was very fresh and half of it came home with us. I had the tuna melt 'deluxe' which includes fries and a small container of cole slaw. The sandwich is served on a sturdy rye bread and isn't grilled enough to melt the cheese. The tuna salad was very bland. No spices in the dressing. The fries are larger and soft. The slaw was chopped small in a mayo dressing with vinegar and sugar. The staff were all friendly. The restaurant is clean. Two entrances lead into the dining area and a third leads into the bar. Good size menu offers salads, soup, sandwiches, pasta and pizza with a few entrees. A few counter seats are available, the rest of the dining area is booth seating.

    Half a steak bomb

Great place for a quick bite. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and there was no trouble finding a table. Waitress was very attentive and stopped by often to ensure we had everything we needed during the course of the meal. My husband got the steak bomb wrap and I had the buffalo chicken wrap. They were both piping hot and mine tasted great. The steak wrap could do with a little seasoning but otherwise it was good. We both asked for our fries well done and they came out well done (most places say yes and the fries are never well done). We don't live in the area but if we're out this way again, we'll definitely be back.

I want to say this place is called Ryan's place. Going on a Wednesday I wasn't expecting much but noticed they had a few specials. I got the baked seafood trio, which consisted of fish, scallops and stuffed shrimp... we will start off with the fish, the middle was cooked perfectly and had flavor after putting it in the melted butter that was on the plate, the ends of the fish were dried out but edible. The scallops, oh the scallops, tasteless and rubbery, tasted undercooked to my liking. The stuffed shrimp, the breading had a very awful wine taste and the after taste.. well I can't say because I spit it out in my napkin. The shrimp were good tho! So over all for my first time really not impressed and don't recommend it. Maybe living on the coast I have different taste buds for seafood?..

They are a solid neighborhood restaurant. Best fried shrimp anywhere. Lots of specials and homemade soups. A goto for us.

Average pub food, nothing special here except the staff. Nothing really in the area though, so you stuck with it.

Relatively good food for the price that it's at although the service is a little slow and the food seemed rather cold when it came out

Went back to check out how the quality is after not going there in a long time…read more Seated myself and was greeted quickly by a very pleasant server. There was a good selection of specials that day but I settled on the beer battered fish and chips and the clam chowder. Clam chowder came quickly and it was a bit of a disappointment. It really should have been labeled potato chowder because that's what it mostly was comprised of. Very pieces of clam and the seasoning wasn't that great. Not sure there would be another order the next time I go to the restaurant. The fish and chips was the star of the visit. Fish had a nice light coating of batter, very crunchy and flavorful. As always the cod was incredibly fresh and flaky and well fried. The fries were also very crunchy and held their crunch throughout the whole meal. This is definitely a dish that will be ordered again. The seating is comfortable but it is an old style restaurant, think of going out to dinner with Mom and Dad in the 60's but don't let that put you off trying this establishment.

The ambiance inside is nice. The dining room to the left of the entrance contains many booths and…read morelooks to be updated in the recent past. Very nice. To the right of the entrance is a bar with high-top seating and an older dining room w/tables, Windsor style chairs and carpeted floors beyond the bar. A selection of country music played softly in the background. This is most definitely a 'local' spot. There were plenty of customers who know each other. They are very comfortable with the staff and each other. Pro top: If you are easily offended by 'salty' language, I recommend you sit in the dining room to the left of the entrance - furthest away from the bar. A hostess seated us with menu's, took our drink order, delivered it, then let us know our server would be with us soon. I watched the bartender making my drink and I'm not sure she actually knew what she was doing and the drink tasted that way so maybe it was something they don't normally prepare. Pro tip #2: The on-tap beer price is good. When our server arrived they were very no-nonsense (curt? brief? concise?). We both ordered entrees and chose mashed potatoes as a side. We were asked if we wanted gravy which was confusing because one of the entrees was fish and I couldn't imagine gravy on fish. It was for the mashed potatoes of course. Duh. So pro tip number 3: no matter what the protein, gravy is available for your mash. Although our soup and salad were immediately delivered to the table, we waited quite a while for our entrée to appear. After about twenty minutes or so (? could be less, could be more, not watching the clock, but we had an idea of when we arrived) I noticed our server walking by the table noticed no food. They went back into the kitchen and returned immediately with our meals. They were luke-warm and the fish had a 'hard' top. Not sure if it was under a heat lamp, but definitely had been sitting somewhere for a bit before arriving at our table. Knowing I'm not in the kitchen or do the ordering, here's a few things we noticed about our meal. The side salad was fresh and cold with a couple of green pepper strips, onion, cucumber and dressing served in a plastic container on the side. Nice option. The soup of the day was very much like a condensed version you can buy at the market. The pot roast does not appear to be the type of roast you purchase at the meat counter and throw in the over (or crock pot). It was more like a loaf of meat-pressed together bits. The texture was wrong. The spice on the Cajun salmon had a good level of spice. Mashed potatoes had large chunks of potato and little seasoning. The gravy looks like it comes from a jar. Based on taste and texture, I wouldn't be surprised if the pie came from a box. The drink prices are good, and most of the regulars were sitting at the bar, not eating. There was one large party that was eating so much food! Fish and chips, pasta, soup and way more. So clearly they have their fans. This is a case of know thyself.

Not only did we witness our waitress chug a drink with customers in-front of us at a different table while we sat waiting for our food just for her to tell us "the kitchen is backed up" excusing our meals being late - which we never received until leaving and getting it "on the house" for the staffs behavior. BUT the kicker was the fight that broke out with a customer swearing and being escorted out by staff AND kitchen staff AT 8PM! Women and staff fighting openly in the bar area and parking lot. Everyone working and customers was beyond drunk in this bar - besides us. The bar had no spiced rum of any sort "they ran out" or flatbread pizza - an entire section of their menu. A local regular (who did NOT work there) apologized for the staffs behavior - repeating "it's on the house" after we decided to leave after waiting for over an hour and half with no service. We received one round of drinks, (second drink received after going to the bar and asking ourselves for service) and an appetizer plate - for 9 people. @Jon_Taffer should check this place out for a bar rescue because he would be horrified!
