Our Air B&B hosts recommended this charming diner. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on one of their house made English muffins and enjoyed every bite. My friend had a toasted bagel with strawberry cream cheese and there were no complaints. Coffee was excellent, just wish someone had stopped by to offer a refill, but that's my only complaint. read more

The whole experience was not good from the get-go. When we arrived we waited by the front counter patiently for a few minutes while 5 or 6 employees walked back and forth without greeting or asking us to wait to be seated. Inside is cute, outdated but charming. The service was okay - our server was not very warm towards us and I'll leave it at that - the gentleman that delivered the food was the only pleasant person in the establishment it seemed. The value of the meal was too expensive for what we received in my opinion. We spend just about $40 on 2 eggs & toast with a side of corned beef hash, and bills big breakfast which consisted of 3 eggs, sausage, toast, home fries and pancakes. The corn beef hash was unlike any other hash we've ever had, it tasted like mustard and didn't say anything about mustard on the menu. Neither of us ate very much of it. The toast on both plates looks like they just buttered raw bread, a far stretch from being called toast. The sausage was cool, I'm thrilled they didn't offer a brown and serve patty; and it was like a real sausage shaped into a patty, my complaint is it was Italian sausage, that's a very specific type of sausage to offer for breakfast and should be listed if that's the case. I cannot speak for anyone else but Italian sausage isn't what I think of when i want breakfast. Overall it was lack-luster, over priced, and the service couldn't make up for the first 2 negatives. There are other overpriced diners in the area that give a better meal and better attitude for the same price. read more

I've been coming to Bills for years and the food and service never disappoints! This is truly one of the only places that has NEVER faltered on my food restrictive requests. I love that I can get breakfast all day and appreciate the weekend specials for something different. The hospitality is always top notch here, they truly treat their patrons like family and are incredibly inviting. I bring family/ friends here often because their homemade bread, bagels, muffins, etc. are SOO good, they're always a crowd pleaser and the space accommodates all ages. Came here with my boss for one of my performance reviews, and I was really surprised with how good the food was! Everything is made to order and cooked upon receiving your order. So you can ensure you're getting a fresh, hot breakfast! This place doesn't look like much from the exterior- and I actually thought it was a convenient store at first glance. So maybe not the best 'aesthetic' from the exterior- but it's supposed to be a cozy old-school breakfast restaurant. It literally looks and feels like you're in 96' when you come here. I think they still utilize good ole fashioned pen and paper for their orders. I don't believe they even have a POS (computer system) but I could be wrong.... The staff were super friendly, extremely attentive and just generally nice. They checked on our table every few minutes, ensured our coffee was refilled regularly and were constantly asking us if we needed anything -pretty much how service at a restaurant SHOULD be run, yet nowadays that type of service is difficult to come by! I ordered the French toast and my boss got the eggs, home fries, and bacon. Everything was amazing. If you're looking for a traditional breakfast- I would definitely check this place out! According to other reviews this place gets mobbed on weekends- so if you just wanna give it a try- I would go during the week- as we did. The food is excellent as usual. However, we ordered from a menu with prices listed. When the tab arrived we were told that the prices had been increased and were shown a menu with red marking indicating the higher prices and then , additionally, that there was an upcharge on eggs that was not indicated anywhere. Tried this place for the first time and it was great. My parents have been here many times and consistently like it. I tried the French Toast and it was soooooooo delicious--nice and cinnamon-y with a hint of an orange flavor. So delicious! Delicious home cooked meals And pastries. Everybody at breakfast thought it was one of the best omelettes they've had in a long time, The potatoes were delicious and I love the variety of breads that I believe they bake there. I Would say it was like a home cooked diner type restaurant but they also seem to have some healthy options on their menu if you want to just get oatmeal and fruit or something like that. I was on my way to a conference and we got some of the muffins to go and I kind of wish I had bought extra for the flight back home because the pastries were really tasty. They also have these cute little menus with a crossword puzzle on it that I guess they changed weekly. Nice homey feel to this place. I loved the muffins and had a tough time picking from the great selection. Went with the French Toast w/ bacon muffin, cut in half, and griddled. So yummy! I should have stuck with the awesome pancakes I had last time. This breakfast definitely wasn't as good as my last 5 star visit. Service was good on an early Saturday morning. We all got home fries with our breakfast and all of our orders had burnt home fries that none of us ate more than a few bites of. The rest of it was average. My husband and I normally have breakfast a few towns over but decided to try Bill's on a whim, for a weekday morning change of pace. OH MY GOODNESS PEOPLE. If you like breakfast, if you're serious about your pancakes and omelets and bacon, you are gonna LOVE THIS PLACE. When I tell you these are the best, fluffiest, most flavorful blueberry pancakes I have ever had...omg. In my life. Ever!! Bursting with fresh blueberries and the batter was clearly scratch, the flavor was amazing! I couldn't stop myself so ordered a broccoli, ham and cheddar omelet with hash browns. All of it was fabulous - the broccoli perfectly cooked so it wasn't crunchy or mushy - just right. The eggs were fluffy and cooked evenly, and the ham was big thick pieces - not the deli ham I've seen used elsewhere. SO GOOD! My husband had the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. I sampled the waffle (OF COURSE) and it was epic. The bacon was flavorful and very good quality - and the English muffin that came with my meal was actually an English toasting bun, fresh-baked and made from scratch! Even my husband (mister hard sell about everything, really) loved it and commented on the flavor. Lastly, the portions were very generous. The pancake was massive and more like three regular sized ones. The omelet was bursting with fillings. I actually took my leftovers home and had a full meal for dinner! And the bill came to 6 dollars less than our usual breakfast spot a couple towns away. Our waitress was friendly and prompt, the food was ready quickly and piping hot. Wonderful breakfast but do not go here if you are already overly hungry as there will be a wait.. coffee was great (and readily refilled). I had the corned beef hash omelette with American cheese. Do yourself a favor and spend the slight up charge and go for the house-made corned beef hash (otherwise you will get canned). You can definitely tell it's from scratch and very tasty (you can taste the mustard powder so if that's not your thing give it a skip). The boyfriend had the cinnamon banana pecan pancake and that was fantastic! They take the time to toast the pecans and you can taste the love! They have a large variety of freshly baked muffins (we got two to go (cream cheese brownie and cranberry orange) - worth it! My only sadness was the rye toast - it's homemade as well and delicious but, since it is homemade, the slices were on the small side. I love toast..next time I'm just getting two orders! I stopped in here after a nearby hike to grab a breakfast sandwich. I ordered over the phone and was able to go in to pick up the food. Everyone was wearing facemasks and gloves which was great and seemed to be extra careful with the food. We got one ham and one turkey sausage sandwich both on the homemade English muffins. Love this place! When you walk into this place you are hit with the most amazing smells. All kinds of baked goods. Caramel apple coffee, brewed, not syrup. It was delicious. The Crab Cake Omelet had hollandaise sauce all over. I was not able to finish it all. Waitress are friendly. Prices are good. Come in with a big appetite, the portions are large. Really nice breakfast the Fri. after Thanksgiving. We split a western sandwich on a homemade English muffin and a single raspberry pancake. The pancake was huge and great, maybe even a few too many berries since I like a good pancake on its own. The folks working there were super nice and the two muffins I brought home lasted a few days. Very tasty banana coconut cream and coffee chip, fun flavors in addition to the usual. Would go all the time if I were in the area.
