I've always wanted a cat and I finally decided it was the right time. Since I have a preschool aged child, I wanted a calm and gentle breed, which led me to ragdolls and Day Spring Ragdolls. Greta is amazing and wonderful to work with. I am so happy with our new kitten and I wanted to share an update. Our kitten has been home just a couple of days and he already feels like part of the family. He's sweet, mellow, and loves belly rubs. Plus, he came home so clean, soft, and smelling good. You can really tell Greta loves and adores these cats. We are so happy with our little guy. Thank you read more

Could not recommend Day Spring Ragdolls more highly--Greta is an exceptional breeder and an even more exceptional human being! This review is long overdue, in part because I wanted to give it the care and attention it deserved. Greta is not only an exceptional breeder, but an exceptional human being. I came to her during one of the hardest periods of my life, after my dearest companion passed away unexpectedly because of a mistake at the vet. From the very beginning, Greta showed extraordinary empathy, kindness, and patience, without ever making us feel pressured or assuming we would necessarily move forward with her. She took real time to talk with me about what I was going through, handled our situation with so much sensitivity, and offered us the opportunity to experience her cat retreat so we could simply spend time with kittens without the pressure of immediately bringing another cat home. We already had two cats, and I was hoping to eventually find a companion for the one who remained, but Greta understood that grief does not move on a schedule. The cat retreat itself was wonderful, and it was there that we met Willow. Greta had actually held that litter for us because she knew we were especially interested, and she believed Willow was the kitten who best matched what we were looking for: cuddly, sweet, and deeply affectionate. She was absolutely right. Willow chose us, and we could not be happier. Willow is healthy, incredibly sweet, and wonderfully cuddly. Since bringing her home, we have not had a single health issue or even a single bout of diarrhea, which, frankly, is not something I can say about our other two Ragdolls. It is very clear that Greta runs her cattery with immense love, care, thoughtfulness, and thoroughness. What touched me just as much was who Greta was throughout the process before we had even decided whether to move forward. She would send me kitten videos simply to make me smile during a very dark time. She kept me in her prayers. She showed up with genuine compassion and generosity when she did not have to, and I will never forget that. I am deeply thankful not only to have gotten Willow from Greta, but to have met Greta as a person. She was a source of kindness and support during one of the most painful times in my life, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! read more

Such a positive experience! I texted Greta and asked if I could come visit and Greta was more than happy to have me come visit. Another local breeder said no visits (very odd and suspicious!) and so we were of course very happy Greta said yes. Walking in, the home was clean, quiet and calm. We were able to see the younger and older kittens. The kitten rooms were clean and very calm. They were all very cute, clean, and healthy looking. The kittens were playful and clearly well socialized as they did not shy away from us at all. They even snuggled, which was another good sign the cats have lots of attention. Greta gave us bottles to feed the little sweeties. We came back for a second visit and stay for nearly an hour. We picked out a kitten after playing and snuggling with all the available kittens. It was hard to choose just one! We picked up a week later when he was old enough and Greta had a beautiful bag of goodies waiting for us to go home with our new kitty. Our sweetie warmed up to us the first night! We are still taking it slow so he can acclimate to his new surroundings, but I was really surprised he was able to get comfortable so quickly. We were really impressed by Greta's professionalism, kindness, and knowledge. These kitties are worth the premium paid (and still very reasonable compared to other breeders!). If you're looking for a ragdoll, I highly recommend Day Spring. Greta takes the care of these cats seriously and it shows. read more

Greta and her Ragdoll cattery are amazing! The importance of the environment, the love, the care, and the human interaction with the kittens to ensure they are socialized before going to their forever home can't be understated. We live close by and were able to pick-up our fur-baby, and EVERYTHING Greta shares with you about Day Spring Ragdolls is 100% true! This cattery is ' a labor of love' and we are so grateful and appreciate what Greta and her helpers do every single day, resulting in healthy happy Ragdoll babies. Having had cats (from breeders) my entire life, I have never had a kitten acclimate to its new home so quickly! Our baby Theodore; a.k.a. Teddy, is pure joy. I had such a great experience with Day Spring Ragdolls. Greta is truly amazing and could not be more helpful. She was kind, attentive, and answered all of my questions thoroughly, making the entire process feel smooth and reassuring. She allowed us to see our cat prior to the purchase, and the environment was exceptionally calm, clean, and well maintained. It was clearly a very healthy and nurturing space, which really reflects her dedication to raising her kittens with care. Our boy has the sweetest temperament. He is gentle, affectionate, and very well socialized, which speaks volumes about how he was raised. Greta also sent us home with toys and wet food, which was such a thoughtful touch. Even after bringing him home, she has remained supportive and responsive, which I truly appreciate. On top of everything, her pricing is very reasonable compared to others, especially considering the quality of care she provides during the process and onwards. read more

Day Spring Ragdolls has exceeded my expectations. Their kitties are THE most loving, affectionate, and sweet. I got a male kitten from them and he is the perfect cat for our family. He purrs when we pick him up and is so snuggly. He is healthy and gorgeous with bright blue eyes. Greta was so wonderful to work with. She responded immediately when I inquired and took time to have an in-depth conversation. I immediately felt great about this breeder. She loves the kitties so much and takes great care to socialize them. Because of this, the transition of our kitty from her house to ours was seamless. Her home and facility is loving, uber clean, and fun for the kitties. Greta was so fantastic to work with and we are so grateful for our incredible kitty! I cannot recommend highly enough! read more

This is my first experience with a ragdoll breeder I had rescued a ragdoll cat and fell in love with him, but he was not well having lived on the street and did not live long. so once I decided that ragdoll was the breed for me, I was so happy to have found Greta and her business. She truly goes the extra mile to make sure that her kittens are super cuddly and extra loving, even though the breed itself seems to be a very loving and docile breed of cat. I do feel that the extra attention that she gives to the kittens make them that much more sociable and people oriented. We could not be happier with our decision to get both a boy and girl to join our family. They are truly a delight and we love them so much. read more

I wish I had used Greta to get my kitten from. I had reached out to several catteries after one ghosted me when I wanted to put a deposit down. The day I inquired with Greta the other company finally got back to me. I made a rash decision and purchased a kitten. The next day, I get a text from Greta, told her I went rogue and bought a kitten and she called me right away. She called to tell me that if I need anything she's there to help, she prayed over me and the kitten even though I didn't purchase it from her. She is a kind and genuine person and I wish i would have not rushed myself, because i would have loved to have had Greta be the person I got my baby from. Turns out the breeder I went to, turned out to be untruthful about a lot of things. It's my own fault, however I sent Greta a text and she got back to me about the situation and made me feel a lot better. Next ragdoll purchase I will absolutely use Greta and take my time waiting for whenever it works for her current litters. Thank you, Greta for being such a kind and genuine person. read more

We got our two little angels, Mango and Nora, from Day Spring Ragdolls, and couldn't be happier with the experience. From the start, Greta was excellent--sending us weekly updates with photos and videos, and always available with helpful advice. Our kittens are especially gentle and affectionate, with such sweet and playfull temperament. We're so grateful to have found such a thoughtful and responsible breeder. Highly recommend! read more

One year ago my girlfriend and I were looking to buy a cat together. she found Day Spring Ragdolls online and set up a meeting for us to meet the kittens. Greta was so inviting and let us sit for an hour or so in the room with the kittens as they played and cuddled. All the kittens were so adorable and so well taken care of. We came with the intention of buying one kitten but we fell in love with 2 of them, so we got both. They are both well behaved and so loving. They love to cuddle and play. I am so grateful that we got 2 because they truly are best friends. Thank you for everything Greta! You truly are amazing. You have been so helpful! 10/10 recommend Day Spring Ragdolls. read more

A month ago, we brought home our first ragdoll cat, Miki, and our whole family has been completely won over by her sweetness and affection. Miki is so cuddly, and we know that's thanks to all the love and care Greta gave her. Greta also provided us with all the instructions, supplies, and follow-ups we needed to make the transition so smooth. Miki is so healthy and well-behaved, and she's fit into our lives perfectly. She's truly our little baby! We love how she's always by our side and how happy she is when the kids hold her. We're so grateful! Thank you so much, Greta! read more

I have a 4 year old daughter who is obsessed with kittens, and I decided to get 2 ragdolls to be companions for her as she grows up. Greta was extremely responsive to all of my questions, and I could tell she put a lot of care and passion into raising and training her ragdolls. I picked up 2 amazing kittens from her, and am in shock at how easily they adapted to their new home environment and how friendly they are with my daughter (literally on day 1, without me having to do any extra training). The quality of breeder that Greta is really shows here - I 100% would recommend to anyone looking to pick up a new kitten. read more

Greta is a great breeder. She is kind, responsive, knowledgable and raises beautiful, calm, sweet, adorable, healthy kitties. My partner and I had sibling ragdolls who were 6 years old. One of them passed away (practically overnight) and our remaining boy (and us) were devastated. We realized that the best thing to do for our cat, was to get him a playmate. Several weeks later, I emailed Greta at 10pm and there was a reply when i woke up in the morning. Her communication is amazing. We quickly exchanged phone numbers and began texting each other. She sent me photos and videos of the kitty that we wanted. She invited us to meet the kitten and spent time with us while we got acquainted. Greta was super professional! Our kitty was ready for pick up before Thanksgiving, but we were going to have a house full of people for the holiday and asked Greta if she would hold onto her for a few extra weeks. No problem. When we picked her up, we were given a record of all of her vaccines, etc AND a bag of toys and some food. Our Bijou is the BEST! We are so lucky to have her in our family... and Butter has a new sibling! Yay!! read more

I can't say enough about my experience with Greta. From the very first conversation, where we spent nearly an hour on the phone talking, I knew I was speaking to someone truly special. She wasn't focused on just the logistics -- she genuinely wanted to get to know me and make sure I found the right fit. I felt like I was talking to a friend who cared as much about these kittens as I did. I visited the kittens several times, and each time, she welcomed me (and my 4 year old daughter on one occasion!) warmly and let me spend as much time as I needed to find 'my' kitten. When I finally went with my gut and chose my sweet little boy, I couldn't have been happier. She continued to keep me updated with pictures and videos, shared his little quirks, and provided tips on food, grooming, and so much more. It was so clear how much love and effort she put into raising them. Greta still remains engaged and supportive, always willing to check in and offer advice. I can honestly say I've never met someone more attentive, compassionate, or invested in her role as a first mom. She's truly exceptional, and I feel fortunate to have found her.... And of course my little boy. read more

Greta has done it again! She gave me another gorgeous cat with a fun personality. I came back to Greta about 9 months later for another kitten since my first one needed a buddy (I highly recommend just getting two at the same time). Greta, Thank you so much, these kittens have added so much joy to our household. It was such a pleasure meeting you! Tham and I were in Brazil and discussed getting a cat. I mentioned to Tham that I've always wanted a Ragdoll cat. When we returned from our vacation I found the Day Springs Ragdolls website, so I decided to email Greta! It just so happened that she had a brand new litter of Kittens... perfect timing! After a few emails Greta called us and we had a wonderful conversation. The conversation felt like we were old friends, Tham and I knew from that point we were in good hands. The entire experience with Greta has been wonderful, and after meeting her in person we couldn't have been happier. She continues to follow up with us and answer any and all questions we have. After searching around for Ragdoll breeders and having some really disheartening experiences with scams (there are ALOT out there) I was so relieved and happy to have found Greta. You can tell she genuinely cares about her kittens and their wellbeing so greatly. She is so helpful throughout the process and kind. I told Greta I did not care what gender of kitten I received, just that it was sweet and affectionate! Personality was really important to me and I wanted a friendly kitty. I've had my kitten for about 3 weeks now and she is the sweetest, friendliest, kitty ever! Not to mention she is so bravely eager to get acquainted with my 75 lb dog! She is also GORGEOUS! For context -I'm 56, a cat lover, and a researcher by nature. I've had many kitties throughout my lifetime and the first thing I'll say in regard to this new kitten is "you get what you pay for." (I've never paid more than the SPCA adopt fee for a kitten.) The ragdoll price tag is steep so keep this in mind if you just want a regular run of the mill, skittish kitten. I cannot speak for other ragdoll kittens from other breeders but I read every review possible on all the NorCal breeders and contacted most of them. I chose DaySpring bc it was close to me, had high reviews and also had all the diff. variety of ragdoll colors which many did not offer. Greta runs her cattery out of her very nice home and clearly has finances to give the finest equipment and care to her kitties. I visited many many times over the course of 6+ months trying to decide on the perfect kitten for me. My daughter worked for a few weeks for Greta over a college break so she also attests to the excellent care these kitties receive. Greta greatly sacrifices her needs to look after the cats and kittens in her cattery. Shes very quiet and gentle with soft music always playing in the background. She thinks of these kittens as her children and as such, makes sure all their wants and needs are met. She's mentioned breeding her cats for ppl struggling with mental health and now I understand why. Don't let the fact that DaySpring is relatively new dissuade you from purchasing a kitten from here! Greta used to run businesses in the Bay Area and is extremely professional, knowledgable, and effective in breeding the highest quality ragdoll cats. I finally took my fur baby home last week along with a large bag of many extra goodies that Greta threw in. On the car ride home after his initial fear of the new sound/place he relaxed and was purring and kneading all the way home (40mins) Every day he's allowed every single person to hold him (even men with deep voices- after his initial shock ) and has cuddled and slept in most of their arms when tired. He's not afraid of our 4 year old Golden and was an absolute dream at the vet office today. My family keeps commenting that Greta really did an amazing job socializing him. He purrs constantly, is friendly with everyone and sleeps anywhere I lie him down- namely on my chest. (: I simply cannot recommend a kitten from DaySpring any higher after doing the research and then bringing my kitten home. read more

The owner and breeder, Greta Strong, is SO awesome to work with. I had the special and unique opportunity to visit the cattery. The kitten area was clean and cool on a warm summer day. I could immediately tell these kittens were well taken care of and socialized. My children and I instantly fell in love with these affectionate emotional support kittens. I've never experienced being able to cradle a kitten (so cool) and oh boy were they mellow and sweet- such a treat! But also playful and smart. Just a great all-round companion to have. If you're looking for the kitten of your dreams, you've found the perfect breeder. It was very obvious through her words and actions that this is Greta's life work, passion and true love. Thank you, Greta! I truly feel like you're giving my kids a best friend for life. Does it get more special than that? read more

After trying everything I could to adopt long-haired kittens from shelters and pet rescues, I started thinking about breeders and learned about ragdolls. I was completely clueless, and things could have gone badly for me, but from the moment I reached out to Greta, I knew I was in good hands. The way she runs her "cattery" reflects a passion and a dedication to caring both for her cats and for her clients. With her wise, honest counsel, we figured out a way for me to get a pair of kittens, even though she only had one available for adoption. But it was only when I got home and found that the kitten from the other breeder was sick that I came to understand how lucky I was to have found Greta. She was incredibly supportive, even to the point of offering to take back both kittens. With her guidance, I worked with the vet and waited it out, and I am so glad that I did! There is something so deeply heartening about having met someone like Greta. She's not just a wonderful breeder; she's a wonderful person. read more
