Two of my children struggle with pet allergies so I knew getting a dog may have been out of the question. I did over a year of research on the breed that would be most beneficial with those that suffer from allergies and found that either Schnauzer or Doodle would be best. Next I started to research breeders for both but finally landed on just doodles. That's when I came across Sugar Pine Doodles on the internet. I had reservations given all the horror stories you hear about fake breeder websites that prey on people and steal hundreds of dollars. I read though all the information on the website and finally decided to make contact through email. Dale was my first point of contact and he was patient enough to answer all my first time pet owner questions. Just a couple months after my first contact, family and I were on our way to pickup our boy (we didn't know at the time he was going to be a boy). Dale and Jeannine were very patient with us and let us spend as much time during pickup at their home. They walked us through everything from puppy stages, concerns, things to look for, etc... They were very knowledgeable on the breed and made the decision an easy one. Mason just passed his 4th birthday and I can't say enough that he's one of the best decisions we ever made. There was a lot of trial and error, given our rookie status, but after all the patience and training he received, he is the best boy ever! We can't imagine living this life without him. He spends the majority of his time with my oldest daughter in college and has really helped her. He is her ESA. We will definitely be purchasing another pup from Sugar Pine, but just waiting on the right time. I would recommend them a million times over.

This past November, right around Christmas, we welcomed our second puppy--a Havashu female--and she is beyond adorable. She has beautiful markings, an amazing temperament, and fits perfectly into our family. The two dogs get along wonderfully, which speaks volumes about the care and socialization they receive early on. Daryl and Gwen truly go above and beyond to make sure every person is happy with their puppy and that each pup is loved and cared for like a family member. We had visited a few golden doodle Breeders online and in person, in state and out of state. We did a lot of extensive research. While Searching the web, up popped Colony Breeders. We called and spoke with Troy. Very friendly and informative. He invited us to come down to Galt , and meet his dogs (the parents) they were expecting a litter soon. We were quite impressed by the cleanliness of the property and how well groomed the dogs were! Troy and Katie we're very informative about their dogs and the whole breeding experience. The puppies were born April 10th 2017. We knew we wanted a female, so that was all we will see every time we visited (which was quite often). We were 2nd pick. I had an idea which one of two I was going to choose, the day came June 3, 2017...I got out the car and started towards the puppies and here she came running towards me... my perfect fur baby!! We only had one litter and our two adult Golden Retrievers. Our dogs were always well cared for, regularly seen by a vet, and up to date on all vaccinations. She also resold the puppies for much more than what she paid us. We just want people to be aware of this before doing business with her. From our experience, she buys puppies and resells them for profit while misrepresenting where they came from.
