DNA test for our SPD dog showing that he's a cockapoo and has no lab in his DNA.

We got our dog from SPD about 5 years ago and I've been meaning to leave a review and just never got around to it. They said they give you a blanket that smells like their mom and littermates, but they literally pulled out a fresh bolt of fabric and unrolled and cut off a piece in front of us. We went up to meet a specific puppy and after meeting that puppy, we asked if we could meet a different one. They brought out another, but didn't know his name or much about him which seemed super weird if they were spending time with the puppies every day, especially since he was 4 months old. He also loudly yelped several times when stepping on a paw and they didn't seem concerned at all and told us to just take him to our vet. The yelping stopped before his vet appointment, but it was strange that they weren't worried about it. He was also SO stinky and had to get several baths as soon as we got home. They said that their dogs are Australian Labradoodles but we did a DNA test and our dog is a cockapoo. I think they probably started out with Australian Labradoodles but the lab part is so diluted that it's hardly there anymore - when we DNA tested our rescue mutt, even 6% of a breed showed up and I'd expect a Labradoodle to be at least 6% lab. Maybe things have changed in the last five years, but I wouldn't recommend SPD based on our experience.

Our experience with Sugar Pine Doodles has been amazing. Our mini labradoodle puppy was delivered to us with a gift bag full of puppy essentials. He is now 9 months old and an incredible dog. He is a beautiful chocolate merle color and people stop us wherever we go to compliment on how cute and unique he is. We would definitely recommend Sugar Pine Doodles to anyone looking for a doodle dog.

Our Sugar Pine Doodle came to us when we needed her most. We had lost our beloved dog six months prior and didn't know if we could love a dog as much as we loved Oreo. By coincidence, while doing a photo shoot at a client's home, I noticed her beautiful dog and asked where she got him from. She told me and immediately I got in touch with Sugar Pine Doodles. That was a Friday. The next Friday we got Bean. Jeannine flew out to us with our new puppy. She hand delivered her to us from California. We are in NY. We are forever grateful to her for the love of our life dog. She is loving, loyal, playful and knows when we are sick or sad. She comforts us. Sugar Pine Doodles is amazing and will be our next choice for a second dog if we choose to have another.

Three years ago our kids were finally ready to have a family pet. Our daughter is allergic to dogs so we needed hypoallergenic dogs. We also wanted two dogs. We waited two years for the right genders and coloring (blond girl and chocolate boy). They have been a true blessing and it's because of the breeder and company we carefully chose during our research. If you are looking for a company that cares and is honest I would absolutely without hesitation recommend Sugar Pine Doodles.

Oh my God I am so thankful I found this breeder. We live right outside of Chicago Illinois and they are in California so you can say we were pretty particular. 5 years and 3 Sugar Pines Doodles later we could never be happier. So kind, don't over breed, the facility abs staff are bar none. They will NOT ship their puppies in cargo so don't ask lol I could not possibly say enough. Love, love, love!

I have never encountered a dog breeder who leads with so much love, wisdom and creativity. Our little angel, Wesley, was part of a group of litters tragically struck with parvo when a dog carrying it visited the property. Jeannine and Dale did everything to save puppies, paying for incredibly long vet stays, medication and more. They saved our boys' life, did so much work to protect other dogs and future litters and stood by their families, as they always do. They are there through thick and thin. It's not a transaction, it's a commitment. And I have no question that Wesley's incredible temperament and adaptability are testament to his wonderful breeding and all the love and attention he received from Sugar Pine Doodles when he was small and struggling. The easy decision would have been to let him go. They made the hard one and it has meant everything to our family.

We got our beautiful boy, Dudley, from Jeannine and SugarPineDoodles. He is the sweetest boy on earth, at least from our humble opinion. We initially got a different boy from Jeannine and he was too much for us. He needed a home with a lot of energy and lots of play time with other dogs. That wasn't our quiet home. Jeannine went above and beyond and brought us our beautiful Dudley and we couldn't be happier. My one word of advice is to have a conversation with someone on Jeannine's staff about the temperament of the puppies and what would be a good fit for your situation before making a selection.

    Arya stark

So after being rejected by shelters multiple times coz I'm a first time dog owner ( yes true story- can't make this up) my friend told me about her dog's breeder. I took care of her dog for a week and I realized that labradoodles are the best. Fast forward to almost 4 years and I honestly can't live without my Arya stark. She's lovable and sweet and crazy at the same time. When Arya was having a lot of diarrhea during her puppy years sugar pine made sure they're there for support and advice. She grew out of that stage now (thank goodness) but it proved that Sugarpine stands behind their health guarantee. I can't imagine life without my Arya now and I only have Sugarpine to thank for this wonderful fluffball and I have also recommended them to my other friends as well.

We have two wonderful multigenerational mini labradoodles. One is 3 years old & our newest is 6 months. They are fantastic siblings to each other & great family pets. The best companions to both of us. No longer empty nesters as we are a family of four again. Grandkids love them! If you want a loving dog, this is the place to go. Thank you Jeannine & Nyki for guiding us.

Hailey Parker of Snowy River Cotons sold me a female Coton puppy in 2018 for $2500 cash or…read morecashier's check only. I wonder why as there seems to be no traceable income from my purchase for Parker's breeding. Although Mylie Moo was small, Parker repeatedly represented that she was fine and healthy. As a first-time dog adopter, I believed her and loved this dog with all my heart. Mylie Moo died tragically at age 7 after a difficult life riddled with medical and emotional issues, which has left me devastated to lose her and in a horrific way. Without warning, she went from panting the morning I was going to take her to the beach, to urgent care just to be safe, then bleeding out through the lungs choking on an intubation tube and had to be put to sleep. I carried her home in a box to be put in a cooler to allow for a necropsy and have been a wreck in the three months since this happened. These are the facts: I added up the costs and vet bills I could locate: they document over $67,000 spent in seven years and that does not even include thousands of dollars of prescription food, grooming, supplies, dog beds, leashes, toys or any of the several thousand more spent on those things. 1. Mylie had problems with diet, throwing up and diarrhea from the start, for which Parker blamed me for not being strict about only giving her kibble which she would not eat. After many months of struggle, Mylie was put under anesthesia and biopsied by an internist, then diagnosed with irritable bowel. She had to eat prescription hydrolyzed food to try to reduce inflammation, along with many other products and treatments she was prescribed for maintenance and flares. 2. She was also itchy, developed yeast infections of paws and ears, and was diagnosed via dermatologist testing with environmental allergies in addition to her food sensitivities, necessitating immunotherapy injections biweekly plus injections of cytopoint for years. 3. Mylie underwent biopsy by internist also to diagnose severe inflammation in her nasal cavity necessitating steroid inhaler to try to avoid violent reverse sneezing. 4. Luxating patella in rear leg diagnosed by orthopedist. 5. Intravertebral disc disease necessitating ramps and joint supplements, diagnosed by vet and orthopedist. 6. Missing teeth never formed and frequent gingivitis, trouble eating kibble with tiny sparse teeth, teeth cleaning under anesthesia. 7. Anxiety causing constant licking, fear/barking at other dogs preventing leash walks, and wanting to be held all the time. She was referred to behavioral specialist. She nipped at my child for years until her allergies and food issues were controlled as she must have been cranky from the pain and suffering in her bowels and constant itchiness. 8. Dilated cardiomyopathy - Despite having such frequent medical attention, Mylie Moo died tragically at age 7 of undiagnosed dilated cardiomyopathy - according to the pathologist who performed a necropsy in Davis, CA. This is a fatal heart condition that can be genetic, or idiopathic, or caused by a virus for example. The pattern of scar tissue on her heart indicated to the pathologist that it was not a sudden cause and could be genetic. Through the years of caring for Mylie Moo, I contacted Parker many times to report health conditions that continued to be diagnosed, on the mistaken belief that she'd want to know for the benefit of her breeding program and other owners of related dogs. Parker was not only unsympathetic but combative in arguing that her dogs were 'cleared' and there was nothing she was interested to know or share about Mylie's condition as it had no bearing on her whatsoever. Mylie went for medical care literally hundreds of times in her short life. The sudden and horrible death we experienced has scarred me emotionally. I personally would never buy a puppy from Hailey Parker again. I ask myself what led to a puppy with so many problems and have questions I'd like answered -- did the mom get adequate nutrition during pregnancy for example. Was the mom geriatric for example. Were the mated dogs genetically related for example. When I asked Parker whether Mylie Moo was genetically related to another coton we adopted, I found it difficult to get answers from her and she said she could not remember among very long, combative emails rather than answer the simple question. She claimed she had to look in her storage and did not remember which dogs were related even though her breeding animals were family pets living with her. It turns out they are genetically related and guest what my other dog also has irritable bowel, food issues, and intravertebral disc disease, as well as anxiety and reactivity to other dogs to the point he was on medication for his back and anxiety, and he nevertheless instigated a fight with a big black lab and got his ear ripped open.

Absolutely exceptional breeder!…read more I got my second Mini Aussie from LLA about 3 years ago and am about to get another - absolutely can't recommend them enough. In an industry where there are a lot of poor breeding practices, especially with what has become a popular breed, it becomes so important to make sure you have a really reputable breeder. LLA's professionalism, genuine love for their dogs, and commitment to responsible breeding are exceptional. Having owned Mini Aussies now for 18 years, I'm super picky about where I get my dogs! They really put the welfare of their puppies above all else when selecting adopters and I love that they don't dock their dog's tails as well as provide Volhard testing results so you can really match the right drive dog for your family and lifestyle. To sum up, I highly recommend Lucky Little Aussies for anyone seeking a trustworthy and dedicated Toy/Mini Aussie breeder.
