Always busy! Even late night after midnight it is always busy! I love that about this place. Lots of groups come with their friend to get good food late in the night. We came with a party of 6 and waited 30 min. We ordered the load of food, got some soju, and beer. Items ordered were beef intestines, pork intestines, cheese corn, gyoza, half and half fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, and Ra-bokki! Everything was lit and super fire. Pork intestines were pretty chewy, however the beef wasn't as bad. Both had good flavor. The beef bulgogi came out sizzling and was delicious. Fried gyoza was pretty good too. The corn cheese was great and better than other restaurants that serve this in the area. My favorites were for sure the Ra-bokki and fried chicken! Their chicken is amazing! It's definitely shareable and comes with a heft portion of chicken. It's soft and juicy on the inside, but crispy and flavorful out the outside. I mean the inside was tasty too! Food: my brother ordered to go one time and brought it home for a family party. Ever since trying that I knew I had to come down and order my own! I ended up getting the beef intestine and the half and half chicken which was the spicy and galbi flavor. OMG, it was so good! The intestines were perfectly cooked and the stir fry even had some teokkboki I. It which was a very very pleasant surprise! The chicken was flavorful and very juicy! Service: I was so bummed that I didn't get to eat in the restaurant, the staff was so nice from when you walk in to when I got my order! They were very insightful and very personable! My boyfriend has been searching for sundae in Seattle area for a while and he found this place. We need to run errands in Lynnwood so we immediately decided to dine at here. The restaurant's vibe is kinda like a soju bar, they play loud music and their light is dimmed, so it might be a little hard to have long conversation, but I think it's a perfect place to chill, hang out and dine. The food quality and quantity are definitely great. We ordered fried chicken wings (very crispy, tasty sauce on the side), sundae, intestine (crispy outside, and tender inside, I normally don't eat intestine, but this one was so great!) The owner/chef greeted us at the end of our dinner and he was nice and humble asking how our meal was. Officially my favorite Korean place! I looked for so many places but only Dawa has the Korean blood sausage. I ordered the steamed one but got the stir fried one. The staff told me they don't do steamed one anymore. And they gave me a free beer for the confusion. The stir fried blood sausage was just as good as the one I had in east coast. Not overly spicy and perfect chewiness. Fried wings: 5/5 the skin is soooo crispy and I love how they separate the wing and the sauce. We came here last Friday with a friend around 8 pm and got a table pretty quickly. This place doesn't seem like it do well with large groups, I thought the restaurant was surprisingly small. We ordered: - Tteokbokki with ramen and cheese - half and half chicken - corn cheese - yogurt soju I was not impressed with the corn cheese, and thought it needed more salt/more flavor. The tteokbokki was really good though. We ordered 1/2 spicy 1/2 galbi chicken, but i think they didn't give us the spicy. The chicken was tasty! But wish we tried the spicy. Im completely blown away by this place. First off the service is wonderful; the staff checked on us several times and made friendly conversation, although they did forget to bring us radish. Besides that, the food was out of this world. I was a bit hesitant to order bulgogi here but out came a heaping pile of beef, omg so tasty!! Corn cheese and seafood tofu came out sizzling hot. Hands down one of the best seafood jjigae soup I've ever had. I think the squid really makes a big huge difference and adds a unique umami flavor to the broth. Kimchi fried rice was delicious. I like how banchan comes with the soup and beef dishes. Did I mention the chicken is phenomenal? Portions and prices here are really good! I have mixed feelings about this place. The food has been 50/50 for me. I've dined a couple times and I've done take out once. We were starving and I was mad craving some soondooboo and so we ordered some soup to take back home and eat, at the time it was beef soondooboo and I actually really enjoyed the softness of the tofu and the spiciness! It just tasted straight up rubbery and I don't know where I went wrong? Is it possibly the seafood? Don't get me wrong, I've had some bomb seafood soondooboo at other restaurants so maybe it's not their expertise here. Another occasion, we ordered the spicy cheesy chicken and despite how oily and greasy the entire dish is, uggg... the cheese melting was perfection. I chowed down on that. My first time at Dawa. When you first walk in, the space feels like you're in Korea, which I love. The staffs are attentive and kind. And keep in mind, they give out generous potions. I got two items, the half and half fried chicken, and the gamjatang. 1. Fried chicken was amazing, 10/10. The batter was super airy crispy, and hot when first arrived. It feels like I'm biting into the piece of a crispy hot cloud. The texture of the chicken stands out a lot from other Korean fried chicken spots. The dry wings were just as good as the wet wings. The wet wings had a candy like glaze that I appreciate, and it wasn't too sweet, however the seasoning on it didn't blow my mind, it tasted really good. 2. I would rate the gamjatang 6/10 & I would go to a different place to have gamjatang. I feel like this gamjatang's viscosity wasn't as thick and flavorful like the one that I'm used to and had in LA. Had a craving for Korean fried chicken and we were up in Lynnwood, so I checked Yelp and found a fried chicken restaurant with 5 stars! Proceed to follow my gps and found the place although it was sort of hidden behind a building off of hwy 99 It's a small restaurant with booths that would hold up to 6 people each. Studied the menu and decided to order the seafood pancake, and half and half fried chicken 1/2 regular and 1/2 spicy. The seafood pancake was huge and delicious 5/5 and fried chicken was very crispy and cooked well. We asked for a the spicy sauce on the side and then dipped the chicken as needed. I would give the chicken a rating of 4/5. We have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow or a late night snack. Their only ban Shan was pickled radish mixed with a couple of pieces of cucumber. Servers were attentive and nice. Rest rooms and restaurant was well kept and clean. The chef came out to each table and asked us if the food was ok, which I always think is a nice gesture and reflects the importance of customer satisfaction to the chef. The only con with my experience at this establishment is that the didn't serve more ban shon or any kimchi with my meal. Came here late on a Wednesday night (Chinese New Year, no less), and I'm so glad we did! Not many places are open till 1:30 AM, so that alone is a huge plus, but what really made the experience stand out was the amazing customer service. Keith and G were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food was pretty good, but it was their hospitality that will keep me coming back. The ambience was great--low lighting, loud music, and just a fun, laid-back vibe. Vons is down the street and way better IMO. This chicken was overall really oily and small for the price. Meat was tender and juicy which is a plus but flavorless. Definitely avoid the plain fried chicken since the crust is pretty forgettable. The galbi fried chicken was ok and made me wonder if spicy is any better (my gf doesn't handle spicy well which is why we didn't get it). And if you came across this place because Modoo was overcrowded, don't be tempted and just wait for Modoo. It was pretty dead on a Sunday night but Modoo was poppin with an hour wait, even though it was just my gf and I eating. While the chicken was donning its robe of crunchy goodness, the pleasant server brought a refreshing bowl of pickled white radish that was not over powering, but a delightful companion to our fare. My wife enjoyed the Kimchi Fried Rice, which I took a tentative bite (I am not a connoisseur of Kimchi), and was very much surprised at how the simple rice dish amazingly treated my palate; the mild spice flavor was not what I expected and would highly recommend it as a shareable side. When the chicken made its appearance, I was astounded at the heap of meat that lie before me; a single order portion will easily feed three to four hungry souls. Mustering the courage to tackle what I could, I steeled myself with a limited expectation. I can only say that the expectation I set was wrong; no... it was beyond wrong. For the group of five of us, we ordered: -Gamjatang -Bossam -Stir fried soondae -Fried chicken gizzards Food quality and quantity were good, all the flavors were on point! The bossam was probably the softest I've had in the Seattle area. I rly liked the soondae stir fry, which is kinda hard to get around here. All the soondae was intact and had no smell and the perilla leaf flavor paired so well. The gamjatang soup had good flavor but there could have been more meat on the bones, some pieces were like 80% bone 20% meat. The potatoes were super creamy.
