By this time we realized the freezer was actually defrosting during the day. Ice was melting that's why it came out in chips. We started tracking temperature with digital thermometers. Once a day the freezer reached 40 degrees. 11/7/25 New evaluation we need a new board and condenser fan. At this point I called the store. Sonya was very understanding and sympathetic. I asked for an exchange. She explained mgr just went on vacation. I called her back on 11/10 and apologized for being upset on previous called and confirmed I wanted an exchange. She said he would call me 11/14. No call. I called the store again on 11/17 to be told he was busy. She again said he would call me. No call. I called and got him at the very end of the day. Harry was not nice. Harry spoke poorly about his service people. I asked him to let me have a working refrigerator for the holidays he said "that ain't happening" He said he "loved us" for being a previous customer but it's out of his hands. Still doesn't work no fridge for Thanksgiving 12/2/25 They tell us to fill freezer with water bottles to determine what's parts of the freezer are freezing. After Spending 2 days on the phone with whirlpool I did receive a partial refund. Harry got to keep the sales tax and delivery fee. It's 1/12/2026 I still don't have a refrigerator because they are on back order. I bought the same one but obviously at a different store with guaranteed customer service up front.
