I got my wedding dress from here and the day I was trying on dresses was a dream. They were extremely helpful and kind. I ended up getting my dream wedding dress. However, there was a miscommunication about alterations, and I called to confirm an appointment for my bridesmaids. I was under the impression that alterations through David's Bridal were free. I am completely fine with paying for any alterations because I know that is a lot of work. While on this phone call with an employee she was extremely rude to me and was extremely unprofessional. I have never felt that belittled or attacked. My bridesmaids overheard the conversation with this employee, and they were in utter shock as well. This encounter unfortunately has me questioning if I am comfortable purchasing anything else from David's Bridal. read more

I'd like to preface this review by saying that I work in guest relations and I am not posting this just to be a jerk. Wow this was literally the worst customer service I've ever had in my life. The consultant was extremely pushy about me writing a review so here we are. My sister was getting married but I wasn't in the party so I dropped into this location about 3 weeks from the event. I know, I know, last minute but I work insane hours. I pulled about five dresses and while I was trying them on the consultant kept trying to sell me heels even though I told her I'd be wearing flats. She even tried to make me try heels on "just to see how they look" after I said no about a thousand times. One of the dresses I picked was several sizes too big but I loved the design and the color so that's what I went with. When alterations came over to give me a quote she gave me a dirty look and basically said "oh yeah, we won't get this done in time. You shouldn't have procrastinated". She was so abrasive that I literally asked to speak with a different woman. The second woman that came over was much kinder but also pressed about the lack of time. I mean people are canceling weddings all over the country, I understand being short staffed or something but if it can get done why add the stress to a guest who is probably already trying to get a lot done. I can't imagine how anxious that would have made a bride feel. She pinned me and I thought everything was going well. I made the appointment for the final fitting and went on my way. About two days out for the final fitting they called to move my appointment and I was kind of given no choice so I had to move my work schedule around to make it work. When I went for the final fitting the dress did not fit as promised. The bust was all pulled and the waist and bodice was about 3" off. I told them I wasn't happy but was again met with the "we don't have time". Oh they also charged me a rush fee. Love that. So I took my dress home and cried. I contacted customer service through the website and after several interactions they asked me to bring my dress back in so the manager could look at it. I brought it in and the manager was a monster. She kept yanking at the dress and even raised her voice. She tried to down play my experience and the quality of the work. She told me that I bought a junior sized dress which is why it didn't look right through the bust, even though it was originally about three sizes bigger than I am, and basically body shamed me. When I pinched the inches of extra fabric around my waist she told me that my waist was too high for the dress. Have you ever seen a junior sized dress with a low waist? Yeah me either. After about 30 minutes of belittling she offered me a 25% refund on the alteration, about $30. Pretty insulting for a $400 dumpster fire. If you want to feel beautiful, if you want to feel special, or important for your big day, run as far away from David's Bridal as possible. If you like being over charged, body shamed and aggressively up-sold. It's perfect. Our experience at this location was with the alterations department. I would not take anything to them to be altered. We purchased a bridal gown at another location, but the bride moved & had the alterations done here. The general alterations were ok, the dress fit when the bride tried it on. However, they destroyed the bustle. When bride came to pick it up, she did not have anyone with her (because she is new to the area). They criticized her for that. An appointment to pick up the dress should have been 30 minutes. She was there for almost 2 hours and had to leave for work & the dress still was not ready. One seamstress was having someone else do the work; she would come look at it and say "that is wrong - do it again". Never telling her what was wrong or how to do it right. Bride was crying & very upset. The seamstress who was doing the work was very helpful & customer service oriented. Just maybe not experienced enough. Bride brought the dress to the location of the wedding & we were trying to see how the bustle worked. After 30 minutes of going through all the layers, the bride was about ready to take scissors to the train. I called David's Bridal in my area & spoke with the alterations manager. She was very helpful & said I could bring the dress in for them to look at. Her assistant took 1 look at the dress & laughed! All the employees were shocked at how horrible this dress was. They repaired it and took the time to show us how to bustle it correctly. But because this location is 1+hours from my home, it was still an all day event. If there is another David's Bridal alteration option, use it. Or find someone private who can do it. Don't trust this location with your bridal gown. read more

!!!PLEASE READ ME!!! David's bridal has decent Google reviews because at each appointment they ask you to review the person servicing your dress try ons. This is the worst company and return policy I've ever dealt with. My sister decided to elope, so I wanted to return my $150 bridesmaids gown. That I had, physically had in my possession for 8 days, unaltered, and unworn. I was unable to do it because I was 1 day over the return date, and I was not given a receipt I was told would be emailed to me (hint: they do not email them). I was told because I had it in my personal possession for longer than the 7 days I could not return it. I called my mother, and told her to call and cancel my youngest sisters gown she had purchased. They would not let her cancel the order, unless it was "7 days after the time she ordered it." The return policy online (which does not clarify its only for online orders at first) says 14 days from the time you receive the dress. You have to scroll to the very bottom of the informational page, to see what the actual return policy is for stores, where it later clarifies 14 days is for online orders. And once again, we were told it was 7 days from the time we picked it up, (now they are saying 7 days from the time it is ordered???) was the time frame to return it. Now everyone is out roughly $150 each. I do not suggest using David's bridal if there is a chance you may need to return the gowns. And I wouldn't suggest using them because they are not honest and very misleading. read more

So, being mother of the bride, went to Davids Bridal today to get a dress. Even though I have an exemption to masks, they refused to serve me, looked at me like I have the black plague, and asked me to go outside to make an after hours appointment. According to them even at such after hours appointment they can't touch me to help me zip a dress, and can't let me try on more than five dresses. Instead of feeling like mother of the bride, they made me feel like a leper. I guess they don't want my money or my business. Not only are these mask mandates unconstitutional, but there ARE exemptions. Businesses are required to inform you of the mandate, but they are not required to enforce it, especially when someone has an exemption. We still need to shop too. It's discrimination against those with a medical condition and THAT actually is illegal. read more

Emma the manager is awful. Does not listen to customer complaints or handle them well. I was contacted for a bridesmaid dress pickup the day before it was shipped back! They claimed to have called my bridesmaid 4 times, but after not getting any answer they said they didnt call me because they "assumed I was busy" As if having to scramble for another specialty dress would same me time. This location is really poorly run and the name of the game seems to be blame the customer to the point that they end up thanking you for "fixing"what they messed up "in time for the wedding". My daughter was a junior bridesmaid, and I was a bridesmatron(?) for a wedding in Charleston this past June. We went in and purchased our dresses in JANUARY. The first time they arrived (March), mine was knee length like hers, not floor length. Before agreeing to re-order the correct dress, I was chastised for 1) not coming in right away to try it on so they would discover the issue sooner (it was 2.5 weeks after they had called), 2) not ordering the right one in the first place (they argued I should have noticed the price difference) I explained: 1) I was currently going through treatments for breast cancer - I had just had another surgery and I came as soon as I was able. They already knew this because my chest (or lack thereof at that point) was exposed to two different ladies the day I had to try the dress on in front of them. They had already "listened" as I explained on that day that I was concerned about sizing because my chest size would be changing leading up to the wedding, (More on that below) however on this day they had no time to "listen to excuses". 2) I was "helped" by an associate that first day, I obviously didn't walk up to their register and order it by myself on their system, and how am I supposed to catch a mistake like that on my receipt? I actually (foolishly it turns out) celebrated with my daughter walking out to the car because I thought I caught a lucky break and it was on sale! They condescendingly chastised me and reordered the dress, mentioning several times that the reason they need us to come in right away is to fix mistakes bridesmaids make like this - blah, blah, blah - and they would even graciously not charge me a rush charge. Um... yeah, definitely not. So, fast forward to first week of May (wedding is June 16) I go in ASAP this time - and guess what... the reorder was TWO sizes too small and the woman who was helping that day had the audacity to imply that I had gained 6 INCHES in my waist since March! Is that even possible? I know I am plump - I am 40 and have 4kids and the youngest was 1 at the time so I am happy to own it -- but I had warned them my chest would be changing ahead of time but they obviously ignored me, and it is way more likely it was ordered in the wrong size than that I mysteriously gained SIX INCHES without realizing it until the moment I tried on the dress! All my clothes fit the same but somehow I gained six inches! But they tried to pass the blame onto me again instead of owning responsibility for their SECOND mistake on the same dress. And while they didn't charge me for the rush on the alterations once the third dress came in - THE WEEK OF THE WEDDING THAT WAS FOUR STATES AWAY - mysteriously that one was too big and I got stuck paying for the major alterations! I would have only had to hem and maybe sew in a little padding in the chest area if it was the right size. It was a Vera Wang dress, not the cheapest one in the store, you would have thought after all the bungles on this order they would have bent over backwards to alter for free - but nope. I have four children and I can guarantee you that none of them down to their children's children will ever purchase anything from David's Bridal again after the absolute ridiculousness of this purchase. I can easily forgive the comedy that was the misorders, but it was the ugliness of how I was treated regarding the cancer that was a lot harder to swallow. I don't look for special treatment, but my trials should NEVER be an excuse for some incompetent sales staff to save face. That is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I chose David's Bridal for my wedding gown and my bridesmaids dresses because i have always had a good experience with the sales side and alterations side. I purchased 2 prom dresses and quite a few formal gowns from them, never had any issues or concerns. David's Bridal had the dress I wanted that matched almost exactly to a dress I found at Norman's Bridal and a Touch of Class, for less than HALF the price. I had an ok experience on the sales side... they let me try on about 10 dresses, got me in earlier than my appointment time which was nice. When it was getting close to my end time, I was torn between 2 dresses and was told I had to make the decision because they didn't have time to help me anymore, which I found ABSURD!!! If I wasn't so in love with the two dresses and on a time constraint with my wedding date coming up so soon, I would have walked out and NEVER returned. The dress came in early, but with several frays in the lace and tulle, as well as disconnected jewels. I went in for my first alterations appointment and the alterations lady questioned why I wanted certain things done to the dress.. It's nice to have an opinion from a professional seamstress, but when a bride wants something done that is feasible and reasonable, you do it. Instead, she was condescending and judgmental. My overall experience has been poor... I suggest for future Brides to work a couple extra hours a week and go to a more expensive bridal shop to have the experience you DESERVE when you are shopping for YOUR day. read more

Horrible horrible customer service. I had purchased shoes from them in the beginning of coronavirus, then the store closed, and I went to exchange them for another pair when the store reopened. I researched the return policy and my order fell within the guidelines of their COVID return policy. The store associate refused to look into my order, and said they will not do any returns or exchanges for orders in the time period. We were going to be purchasing dresses for our bridal party and mother's dresses, and will definitely be taking our business elsewhere. Horrible communication, and just looking to make the sale in my estimation rather than create memories, and build up clientele. My daughter went in for her fitting in which I was present on face time and her aunt present in person, and tried on 5 dresses; the sales person was eager to get her into "the one". When she did find the dress she was pleased the dress fit well and all she would need to have done was have the shoulder straps taking in, we discussed this at length in the presence of the sales associate in which she agreed the dress was fitting nicely and would not need much done in the way of alterations. When my daughter finally said yes to that particular dress the sales associate said great let's get your measurements. We proceeded to pay, and let them know we had our own alterations lady and would not need their alterations services, which they said was no problem and had my daughter sign a paper saying she was using another alterations person. Fast forward to today's pick up. Excited to get her dress, and get over to alterations my daughter picked up her dress, where it was nicely bagged up for her, but no one offered to have her try it on, or even look at it, mind you she has never done this and didn't even know any better to ask to look at it. Once at alterations she was swimming in the dress, it was a size 14 when she wears a 10. Her alterations lady is basically going to have to rebuild the dress because at this point she does not have time to get a smaller size. She and her fiancé went to David's Bridal to confront them on this huge mistake and how they were going to rectify it, and they basically told them sorry, but we can't do anything to help you, our policy states that we always go by the largest measurement between your waist, hips, and bust regardless of what dress fits, and the associate would have discussed this with you at length, BUT she did not! There in lies the problem. If they would have told my daughter she could have requested a different size, or any number of other scenarios this would be a very different review, but David's Bridal dropped the ball. After they changed our appointment time just a couple hours before we got there, we were a few minutes late walking in. We were immediately told we only had X minutes left because we were late. As I tried on dresses, I was constantly reminded of the time remaining, such as "You have 11 minutes left now." I felt like I was at a high pressure time share sales meeting. With 5 minutes to spare I found a suitable dress. Boom! The time pressure evaporated. Everyone was relaxed and happy and I was no longer reminded of the clock ticking down. About 3 days later I discovered not only was I pregnant, but my chosen dress no longer fit. When I called and explained the dress was now too tight, the consultant told me to go on a diet. When I told her I could not, she suggested a water fast. I finally said I was pregnant. Oh. Well I was told to bring it in, they could alter it. Sure. To the tune of $300. I brought it back for a refund but was told they have a seven day refund policy and it was 8 days. No refund. When I asked about an exchange the manager said no. After that, I told her that by not allowing any exchange it was stealing. The alterations lady felt sorry for me and she and I found another dress that fit with some alterations. The alterations lady was very kind and told the manager that exchanges was company policy. So. If you want a happy, relaxed and enjoyable experience, STAY AWAY! My sales associate was Meghan. I had two appointments, one on a Friday and then a shorter one one the following Monday. Both times Meghan was less than personable. Prior to my appointment I was told to go and favorite dresses on my online account and the dresses they had would be pulled and ready for me to try on upon my arrival. The entire staff seemed completely unprepared for my appointment, it was the first one of the day but I still feel like I deserved a little bit more organization. I spent hours looking at dresses online and narrowing them down, I got to the store, they pulled up my list and had one of the dresses. My mom came with me and when she walked in they rudely said, "and who are you" to her, so Friday did not start out on a good foot at all. Throughout my appointment I did not feel welcomed and could tell Meghan was less than enthusiastic about helping me. I was never ask about my fiance, my venue, my PRICE POINT, my theme, my colors, nothing. Because my list was null, I was flustered about not knowing what dress to pick so I was all over the place and I definitely felt as though I was being a burden and she was clearly not happy about helping me to find my WEDDING dress. (Hopefully the only time I ever have to buy one and this is my memory of it.) I finally found one that I liked above any other dress and took the weekend to make sure I loved it and that it was the right one. Monday comes around and I only tried on the one dress and finally said yes. She ordered me a size larger than I needed even tho I was only a little bit off on one measurement. The other two were spot on. I realize they do this based on 'you can take a dress in but you can't let it out' but I also know that big companies like this want more of your money and want you to come back so it can be altered. Fast forward to picking up my dress and she was standing near the entrance talking to another consultant. When I walked in she did not say hi, she did not offer to go get my dress when the desk girl ask, she walked off in the other direction without saying a word. The only reason I'm giving them a two star rating is because I do love my dress and most of the sales staff were friendly. Had I had a different consultant help me, I feel like I would have had a better experience. read more

This place is absolutely ridiculous. They overprice cheap bridesmaids gowns and try to grow fat off the profit by encouraging you to BUY A SIZE UP just to steal your money TO CHARGE YOU TO ALTER IT. It literally makes no sense. They swore a certain size wouldn't fit unless I ordered a size up. When I picked up the size their "consultant" pushed, it ended up being too big naturally and the pushy alteration lady demanded to know when I wanted it altered. And that was just picking it up. The staff was pushy and short and lifeless during the bridesmaid shopping visit and offered zero help. Most times, the Bridal party was asking where she was or where she went, even though we scheduled a time where no one else was in the store. They fled the scene and offered no advice or compliments. One of my fellow bridesmaids had her zipper broken by the alterations department with no solutions and her dress was a crumpled mess when she got it and they charged her to steam it. I got married about a year ago and the consultant that assisted me was really great. I believe her name was Jaden, and she was kind, excited for me, and best of all totally okay that I did not want to spend a lot of money on a dress. I'm a bargain shopper which can be hard to do for wedding gowns, but I told her I wanted to try on every clearance dress in my size and she seemed perfectly fine with that. I went in with a $500 budget for a wedding dress. They sat me down and had be look through their catalog. Any dress I mentioned I liked, Jessica my "attendee person" would point out that it was a designer dress worth a few thousand dollars. So I eventually told her to pick me something IN MY BUDGET to try. I was not allowed to scroll through the racks. She refused to bring me a dress less than $600... I ended up falling in love with the dress that i purchased. I cried my family cried it was great. It was $675... $175 above the cash I had in my pocket for the dress. She did my measurements for the fitted bra and tutu thing... incorrectly I might because I later had to return to the store when neither one fit and was told by an older lady... I can't remember her name but she was so sweet and knew what she was doing. She re-measured me and exchanged my bra for the right size. This lady is why I'm giving them 2 stars because she helps me several times. Upon checking out I was offered the credit card which I was approved for and took. Ended up I had to add $450 to the credit card..... that's double what I wanted to spend on a wedding dress. That's also including the fitted bra and tutu under skirt. I forgot about those items so it was fine that I went over $500 but double.. ugh! Jessica didn't want to show me anything less... REFUSED when I asked her. I took my bridesmaids in to get dresses. The older sweet lady helped us and she did an amazing job. She listened to us and ordered everything correctly. When measuring one of my bridesmaid she did mention that alterations were $2 a stitch!!!! Woah! Overall I was mostly disappointed. Wish I had went somewhere else But I found my dream dress and struggled to pay off my credit card. read more

You walk in, and they are all over you like a swarm trying to get a sale...OH, and they are sweet as candy! UNTIL.. AFTER your purchase, it doesn't matter if it's seconds after you bought it...there is NO refunds. HMMM what is wrong with this picture??? Customer Service Suck!! You better make sure it is what you want, or it will be HELL getting your money back! The people there turned COLD AS ICE! Treat you like you have the plague once they know you want a refund...which is against their policy, as I was told...they will give you an in store credit (like I needed to buy something else there). I recently visited the Springfield, Mo David's Bridal and was very disappointed. This store has a new policy where you are not allowed to look at the dresses. You have to describe to them what you like or look at a book to pick out a dress. I kept picking out dresses from a book & she would say "oh you can't tell but this one actually has a lot of sequin or we don't have that designer here or have it in stock." The pictures also do not have the prices, so you could not tell if you were picking something in your price range. I don't have to tell anyone reading this that the reason people come in to the store instead of buy online or purchase from a book is to see the dresses in person. I did get to try on dresses, although I was not able to pick out dresses. I may have found something that was very beautiful that a book just did not do justice or went outside my comfort zone to try something that would have been the dress. Instead I picked a few dresses from a book that looked nothing like the pictures. Meanwhile, all the beautiful dresses were around me but I was told I may not look at them. The sales lady, although very nice, said she had nothing for me after my 5th dress so we went home. I will tell you, I would have tried many more dresses if I could see them, being a visual person, as well as probably left with a dress...since that was my goal. By the way, I called another David's Bridal and they said they never heard of such a policy and said to come on in & I can look at as many dresses as I want. Bizzare. read more

Horrible experience. The consultant, Emmy, was rude and impatient. The 1st thing she said to me was "We have an hour & a half. We can try on 4 or 5 dresses" She didn't even say hello. I looked for dresses as she stood behind me reminding me that we only had an hour & a half for our appointment. Then she would walk away & be gone for a while & then come back & do the same thing. (By the way, I had great experiences at other stores, and you can try on 4 or 5 dresses in 20 minutes or less...not an hour & a half.) When trying on, she would throw the dress on me with no care and not even do up the back all the way before she was pushing me out of the dressing room. My sister had to keep coming up and holding the dresses on me so I could see what they'd look like. I went through many gowns that were not worth the price. I found two I was kind of interested in, and she said I couldn't try them back on because we were out of time. Wow! read more

I did a last minute appointment to suprise my sick mother with wedding dress shopping. She and I havent been able to do anything for my wedding since she lives so far away and she is in poor health. So this was the closest davids bridal to my mother's house so we had to go. At first it was fine but when we got the women to help me with the dresses she was so awful. The worst i have to say. She was rude and very business like. She didnt care about you unless you were buy a dress right then and there. Of course i was only looking because my wedding is years away. Not only that she treated us awful because of the way we look. I didn't dress the best because i thought i was just going to visit my mom and my mom is sick so she wanted to wear comfortable outfit. But she questioned how i would pay and believe me I have the money. And then she didnt help fix my dress so it would look pretty in the pictures so i had to straighten it myself. The thing that was the cherry top was she wasn't nice about my figure. Look im no bean poll but in not a whale either. I have a smaller torso compared to my big bottem. But she just wasnt about the mermaids I tried on. Lets just say she ruined my first experience with my mother dress shopping. I will never buy a dress from that store. read more

I am so happy that I did not buy my own wedding gown at David's Bridal. I recently went along with a friend to try on gowns at this store and the staff was incredibly condescending and rude to her. She's a veterinarian in her early 40's and her appearance is kind of natural and bohemian, and I could see the disdain over her appearance on these salesladies' faces. I am sure she earns ten times their salaries, but I digress. My friend spotted several dresses in the store she wanted to look at or try on, and the "consultant" helping her insisted that there was no browsing as "that's not how it works". What!? They told her to give them her preferences as far as the train, bodice, etc, and then they brought dresses for her to try on. She was kind of unsure because she's not really a gown-shopping kind of girl. She didn't know the right terms for different features and the consultant was visibly impatient. Ridiculous. There was a rack of discount dresses and they seriously tried to keep her from touching it or looking at it. I am not joking, folks. Her pushy Southern grandmother finally made some headway as the consultant gave up, and they wound up buying a discounted dress and taking it with them. My friend was crying by the end of the visit. This is not good customer service. I guarantee if things were handled differently she would have spent five times the money on a different dress but it was just so frustrating. Also we planned to get our bridesmaid gowns there and instead, bought them online from a different vendor. My friend now hates David's Bridal so much she refused to even look at their website for ideas. It was almost traumatic for her. I know that sounds very dramatic but it is true. I don't know how David's stays in business except that they are the visible chain store that many newly engaged ladies check out first. It's a shame. read more

Davids bridal is so poorly organized! All 5 of my bridesmaids dresses came from there. Three of the dresses came in the same day I went and picked up two of them and said the third would be in later to pick up hers. When she went to pick hers up they had told her I picked up alll three said that she was trying to get a free dress. They eventually found the other dress said that they swapped the names on the dresses. Turns out they put the same name on two dresses!! Idiots !! read more

I have both good things and bad things to say about my visit here. For starters I have never tried on wedding dresses and had no idea what to do. The original sales associate they gave me for my appointment time, Lynn, was not helpful at all. She was still with another appointment and just put the dress in the dressing room for me to try on. I had no idea how I was supposed to get this huge dress on! I peeked my head out and asked my friend to help me. My friend immediately went to the front and demanded a different associate. Then came this super sweet young lady named Carissa. She made the entire experience so much better. She got me a slip and an appropriate bra for trying on dresses. Carissa was able to make a great connection with me in the fitting room. She was so sweet and helpful. When I booked my appointment I did not realize that there was a time limit! The manager told Carissa that I only had time to try on one more dress. I tried on the last dress and THOUGHT it was the one. (In reality I felt rushed by the manager and could see that my friends were hungry.) Two days later I told them I made a mistake. They let me exchange the dress for another one that was of equal or greater price. This time I went with a much smaller group. Just two friends. However, I did not realize that they only allowed me 30 minutes to try on dresses! They called it a "courtesy appointment." In all honesty I think that is absolutely ridiculous. To feel rushed to make such a big choice and spend a lot of money! Carissa was my associate again and she was literally running through the aisles of the store so that I could try on as many dresses as possible. I finally found the right dress though, and I'm happy with my selection. I'm so glad that Carissa was there to help me make such a big decision. I would never under any circumstances recommend anyone go to David's Bridal. The fail to mention a few things on their "guarantees"... Like, if you special order your dress, and do not pick it up within 14 days of it's arrival, the will SEND IT BACK. Even though you have already paid for it AND even if you don't get the alterations scheduled for within that 14 day time frame. THEN they say "Free Steaming" before the wedding... well, this takes 2 weeks to get done AND they won't do it if you don't allow them to do the alterations with their ridiculous prices. When I went to pick up the dress, they were rude and provided no help... I mean, they already had my money so why would they need to pay attention to me now? This particular David's Bridal doesn't even deserve one star. I am so angry and frustrated. I made an appointment over a month ago for me and my bridesmaids to try on dresses, they all drove over an hour away to come. David's bridal was the place I was most excited to look at dresses, due to the huge selection and lower prices. Unfortunately, it turned into a place I will NEVER return! I walked in and the place was a madhouse, no one wanted to help me. I finally talked to an extremely hateful woman that told me that I had only arranged for my bridesmaids to try on dresses, not me. They then told me that I wouldn't be allowed to try on any dresses?! The woman said that I should have received a conformation call of all of my previous information that was scheduled. (Never received a call, and when I told her that I hadn't, she smirked at me and laughed!) My bridesmaids asked if I could use one of their rooms to try dresses on and they said no. That I could make an appointment to try dresses on at 2 pm?! This was at 10 am! My mom asked to speak to a manager, who arranged for me to use a fitting room in the back but said I wouldn't be allowed to try them on, on the platform? No one helped me try on dresses, my mom helped me get into all of them, and all of the staff was VERY unfriendly and rude. I'm so appalled. If you want a great experience, go down the road to Gracie's Bridal! I will never ever step foot in David's bridal, EVER again! read more

Not a big fan of this location. Went here with a bride and some fellow bridesmaids to get our bridesmaids dresses. On the first visit, we went in, browsed and tried on dresses - all fine and well, but there was zero interaction with any employees and we were basically ignored the whole time, despite the fact that there was only one bride trying on dresses and no other visible customers in the store. We tried on several dresses and picked out a color and style for each of us, intending to order them later. It wasn't till we were about to walk out the door that anyone offered to help us (we'd been there for at least an hour or so by that point) but when we said we'd already picked our style and colors and were going to look around some more, the associate made a big deal about how we need to order the dresses immediately, because they're supposed to be ordered FIVE MONTHS in advance - knowing full well that our event was in just three months. Five months for a bridesmaid dress?? Pretty absurd, if you ask me. I felt like the associate was just trying to put pressure on us to order on the spot. Our bride ended up changing her mind about the color because she found out that the three different style dresses we'd picked out do not come in the color she wanted - something we might have known beforehand if we'd had any assistance from an employee! So instead, we all had to return to the store and start over again. On the second visit, we were stopped at the door to fill out all this paperwork despite the fact that we'd already been there, and then after that point, once again had zero acknowledgement from the staff. The only thing that a staff member did was stick a post-it note on the dressing room doors with our names on them. Fortunately, my fellow bridesmaid that I was with on this second visit knew exactly what we were looking for, so we were in and out pretty quickly. We were told that our dresses would be ready in less than a month --- what happened to the five month claim from the last associate?? Now my dress is finally here! And DB didn't even call me to tell me, they called the bride instead. As if any bride needs MORE to do and worry about, making the bride play messenger when DB had MY phone number with my order is ridiculous. On the plus side, the dresses are really beautiful, and pretty affordable. So I gave an extra star for the actual products that they carry, but must say, I am not impressed with the "service." read more

My daughter went prom dress shopping at your store today and she had a terrible experience! It makes me sad that you tainted her special memory. She said that the ladies that work there made her and her friends feel like thieves. There is absolutely NO excuse to make someone feel that way. You got their business because they loved the dresses not because of the customer service. I bought my wedding dress here and I wish I had spent my money some where else. The people here are so rude and have a "better than you" attitude. I should have spent my money where the workers were more polite and helpful. Looking back I should have never given them the time of day. They argued with me about every detail and ordered my wedding dress in the wrong size a week before my wedding and then proceeded to blame it on me. saying I told them the wrong size even though I had several people with me that heard me tell them. read more

Before alterations it was alright. My first visit was very odd and not very informative. When i went into the store the ladies where very nice but the person i had helping me was.. its hard to pin a word on it. She didn't help me find a dress nor did she help me try them on. After searching the store on my own for a long while i found a dress i loved and it was only $100! so a great price. The store had 2 sizes i was wearing the size 8 (and almost bought it) and i asked if they have a smaller size and the woman helping me said oh yeah let me go get it. So the whole 30 min of me pinning it back on certain areas and talking about it and loving it they had a size that fit the whole time and she didn't even consider to get it so i would potentially love it even more because i could see how it really fit. When she brought it out it fit great but on the front was a patch where someone had just rubbed it till it was rough. I decided to take the larger size because the material it self was better looking. I took it to alterations and when they called me to tell me to pick it up it still didn't fit. I figured that's normal it takes a few times but 3 times and it still didn't fit on my wedding day is just crazy to me. ALL of my pictures i have super saggy breasts because the cups in the dress where not sized like promised. My mother (who is not a seamstress) had to jerry rig the dress to make it fit the day of my wedding. My last comment is that the alterations cost more than the dress it self (over $200) If you buy a dress from here please take my advice and get a REAL seamstress from another company to take care of it. read more

MOB here...We recently visited this David's Bridal and were VERY disappointed. The Bride is about a 16 in normal clothes so she was ok to try on the sample sizes of 14 or 20. She'd come prepared with 15 choices to try on from the website. They had ZERO of those choices in either of those sample sizes...ZERO. So, starting from scratch, the attendant pulled a dress here and a dress there and several dresses later (not all bad, some very pretty but not what Bride was looking for) the attendant said our appointment was almost over and made it very clear more than once that if we come back or go to another location we only get an hour appointment next time. We were literally the only people in there. Some Bridesmaids for another wedding showed up when we had about 30 minutes left in our appointment but there were 4 people working so you would think they'd be a bit more lenient in the schedule. NOPE...Appointment over. I can see not wasting someone's time but the Bride had dresses picked out...It's not her fault YOU HAD NONE OF THOSE DRESSES SO SHE HAD TO START OVER. The location is very tired. It's stained and worn...Old looking. I get it's not a high-end bridal store but they don't even look like they're trying. It's sad because they do have some very pretty dresses at great prices. Unfortunately, we won't be buying from there. read more

I went to David's Bridal to try on dresses for my destination wedding in July. As soon as I walked in the door with my friends I could tell the experience wasn't going to go great. They acted like I was an awful person for shopping in May for a July wedding (I wasn't expecting a miracle, I just wanted a dress, and we had just decided the date) and they gave me such a small area to pick from (like, less than 10 dresses). They weren't very helpful, but I will say the lady did find the dress and beaded belt that I ended up buying, but I don't love it. We were looking for shoes afterwards, and no one helped us with our questions, even the lady that was supposed to be helping us. We had to finally flag someone down (after they walked by us numerous times) and she reluctantly helped us-just to let us know they didn't have the shoes I wanted. She never even offered to order them. I have heard nothing but bad things about David's Bridal in Springfield and I certainly believe it all now. I will never go back and I will certainly never recommend it to anyone. read more

I do not recommend this chain to brides-to-be for their bridesmaids. I live 2 hours from the Davids Bridal I visited. I ordered my dress to which they insist have delivered to the store. They share that it will take at least a month to get in. At no time do they share that when the dress arrives at the store, the purchaser has only 7 days to pickup the dress. I received a phone call from David's approximately 2 weeks after my visit. They received my dress that day and told me I had to have it picked up within 3 days. When I explained that I live out of town, they offered to ship for an additional fee, $15. They also explained their 7 day policy. I explained that I was only given 3 days and that this policy was not shared when I purchased the dress. I was able to convince them to give me 7 days. I spoke with another bridesmaid who also was not aware of the 7 day pickup policy. How inconvenient to enforce this policy after the purchase is made. Brides, do not use this store if you want to keep your bridesmaids happy. read more

I would not recommend these arrogant consultants to anyone. First off they were very unprofessional when doing my fience's measurements and told her she should not wear a push up bra to be measured ( She wasn't ). Then they told her their $99.00 sale was not running any more in a tone like that's ALL she could afford ( she went in still wearing her scrubs seeing as she had just got off work and unaware their was a dress code to look at wedding dresses). She asked if she looked like a $99.00 dress woman and the lady said she should look at the special occasion dresses to the left. She was wanting to end the conversation with her so went to the left until she walked away and the went to do what she was there for....LOOK AT WEDDING DRESSES! She was looking through the wedding gowns trying to get a general idea of what She would like so she could either set up an appointment to try some on, order one online or go to another store. She was approached by another consultant who asked very rudely if she could help her and she said she was fine and was just looking. The consultant then informed her of how it's a VERY timely ordeal to try on a wedding gown with so much material and maybe she should check out there special occasion dresses. She informed her she was wanting a "wedding" dress NOT "a special occasion" dress and she again said like I said the special occasion dresses are over there. We decided it was best for her to take our MORE THAN $99.00 and go shop somewhere else! SHAME ON YOU DAVIDS BRIDAL!!!! You are supposed to make a bride to be feel special not sad and rejected just because she is a working girl. read more
