    Conlin worked hard to communicate to the alterations team my visions

    Conlin was absolutely incredible!!! I went to 3 other dress places before coming here and I was very discouraged that I was going to find a dress! But Conlin helped make this process so sweet from the second I stepped into the place! She genuinely listened to me and my concerns and preferences !! She truly was a blessing and made this whole process so incredible!!

    So I definitely wanted to review this David's bridal because I have a mixed bag to share. My dress ended up being beautiful and in the end that was the most important thing. But the journey to get there was a little rough. I found my dress in January 2025. When I found my dress, I was told it had to be ordered. I believe the dress came in March. And something in my gut told me to go try it on when I went to pick up the dress. So thankfully, I took it in the dressing room, examined it and tried it on. It was in awful shape. It was used had pics through the tulle and dirty. When the manager got involved, she offered to order another dress never looking for the current dresses that were there. Thankfully, I found (not the manager) my dress brand new two sizes too big. The manager offered to take care of alterations on the top of the dress and quoted me $100 to do the bottom of the dress. My stepmother had graciously offered to do alterations on the bottom of the dress, but because Davis had messed up the original order giving me a used dress I decided to go ahead and let them do everything after finding my exact dress on the , and being quoted such a reasonable price to alter the bottom. So I followed their "eight week before your Date" rule and returned at that time to have my dress pinned for alterations. The pinning took about an hour, and the young girl took about 15 minutes to push all the buttons in the register to figure out my total. Again, let me refer back to the manager quoting me $100 to alter the bottom of the dress, and the rest of the alterations were on David's bridal due to their previous mistake. So after all this nonsense, my total comes to $445. So the manager comes back up (same manager by the way) insisting she would've never quoted me that price on a four layer dress. Mind you this is just the cost of altering the bottom of the dress, not including the top which they are responsible for. So now I'm livid. And feeling very stuck because they have to take care of the top of my dress and it's foolish for me to have to take the dress somewhere else to get the bottom done. I expressed to her my concern and all of a sudden now "let me see what I can do". So now magically the cost is $240. And I'm running out of time. My wedding was scheduled for June 14th. Thankfully the alterations department is a much better department to work with. They did a beautiful job with my dress. Very happy with the outcome!!!

    The service was great! Especially the alterations dept. Saada is the best! The salespeople are good- they listen. The selection is pretty good- I got a traditional dress and veil and the pearl and sparkle details were impressive . The value can't be beat!

    Honestly if i could give this store no stars i would . The sales rep Nicole was distasteful, rude , immature and all around a terrible sales rep. She did the bare minimum then proceed to gossip about my family while on the clock when she was supposed to be helping us . I understand that not everyday going to be a good day but come on ! From the beginning she was rude and as someone who works in customer service and retail i would suggest that she fixes her attitude or she'll end losing her job or having a brush with the wrong person . ( Nicole is the one with frosted tips beware )

    I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the management and staff of David's Bridal, located in Newark, DE in the fashion center. First of all, I was taken back by the manager, Shayna, who was rude, incompetent and basically useless at a time that we most needed her attention. The issue was that we purchased a bridal gown, for my wife, for our upcoming wedding. We picked up the dress, took it home, and went to the wedding. Upon putting the dress on, we noticed that the dress was too long, cut in a ragged manner, and to our dismay, was never altered. We paid an exorbitant price for the alterations, and in fact, I felt like we were being hustled the whole time. Alterations Services were not rendered, as per our agreement, leaving the dress unfinished and useless to my wife on our wedding day. The reason that they overcharged me for hemming, is because the dress was unwearable off the rack! Hence, the need for alterations! We attempted to return the dress to David's bridal ~ when Shayna abruptly informed us that they would not reimburse us for the dress, in fact, she only offered us a partial adjustment for the hem only, which still makes the dress UNWEARABLE. The bottom line is, I purchased this dress in good faith, I trusted them to do their job, and they failed utterly. They showed no remorse for ruining my wedding day, and offered no compensation. There is no compensation for their incompetence, which ruined what was supposed to be the best day of my life. In closing, I would never recommend David's bridal to any future brides, and I would recommend that you never do business with these conmen. I will be going to social media, corporate, until this issue is resolved to my satisfaction, and I will be advising as many people as I can not to use David's bridal, for the biggest day of their life. See the photos below of where it was supposed to be hemmed, and the shards left in the bag. Note ~ we paid and agreed on a scalloped hem, and clearly there is no hem whatsoever. The entire point is that the dress was unwearable, the whole reason they sold me alterations is because the dress was unwearable off the rack, and without them altering the hem, the dress was incomplete, and as unwearable as the day I bought it off the rack. Otherwise, why would they sell me alterations? My wife was unable to wear the dress we bought from David's Bridal, on the day of the wedding, and we told this to Shayna the manager, and her regional manager, and received the same run around, neither of them would take responsibility, apologize or compensate us for their actions, and the consequences of their incompetence. Not only did they lack remorse, they further infuriated my wife and me, wasted our time the day after our wedding, by making us come back into the store with the dress, to no avail.
