Kelsey was amazing! I am a client of the Springfield, MO store. I drove 4 hours to this store and was so happy that I did! I had found a dress that I thought I was in love with in Springfield, MO. I ordered it and when it came in I was so unhappy. It was so big and I looked terrible. I didn't tell my family or friends and tried to act like I loved it. I was afraid to tell anyone because it was so expensive. I didn't know what I was going to do. After talking with Simone at the Springfield location, we found a dress that I loved and she told me to come here to try it on in my size. Lenexa has more plus size choices than any other store around! When I arrived, the girls were so nice. Everyone knew my struggle and my fears and were totally aware of what I wanted. I was a nervous wreck but they were all so aware of my situation that I was at ease instantly. Kelsey took personal care of me the whole way! She put me in the dress, and I was in love. It is the most amazing dress I have ever seen and it fits like it was made just for me! Kelsey was going above and beyond for me. I can see why she is a manager now! Great choice DB! After having the dress on and telling her I was so happy, she walked away for a few moments to let my mom and I talk and play with accessories. (it was only my mom and myself due to the long drive). Kelsey then came back to the room we were next to and had her entire staff with her. They handed me the bell and told me that they wanted me to make another wish and ring the bell because I was picking a new dress and it was a new start. I was so happy I was crying! As I rang the bell, her entire staff of ladies clapped and cheered loudly. I felt so special and truly celebrated. They did not have to do what they did for me and I will never forget that amazing day. It will be the story I tell my grandchildren someday! Thank you so much! read more

Anna T. and Kelsey her manager are the two people I can accredit to saving my wedding. I had bought a dress about 9 months ago and had since gained such a significant amount of weight it was no longer possible to fit into my old dress. Over the last week I had been stressing and not sleeping over the pain of not having a dress for my wedding in 2 months. I finally decided to dive an hour to their store in hope that I could walk in and find something that fit that day. It just so happened to be a Saturday when they were booked for the entire day with appointments. The lady at the front allowed me to look around but could not promise that I would be able to try anything on that day. After walking around for a few minutes Anna came to me and said she could take me on as an additional appointment. I immediately lost it and started crying because I had just texted my fiancée that getting a dress that fit seemed hopeless and probably not going to happen. Anna went above and beyond by helping me in and out of what seemed like 8-10 dresses. Kelsey checked in often and stayed when Anna needed to answer questions with her other Bridal party. Between the two of them helping me I never felt like I was alone, someone was always by my side. This meant a lot to me because I did not have a bridal party or my mom with me to help decide. They ending up getting me a rush order on a dress I fell in love with in a color they did not have in store. I cannot thank them enough and even days later I am crying just trying to write this review because of how much it meant to me that they were both there for me. read more

I had a very positive experience at David's Bridal unlike the other reviews. I made an appointment on a Monday evening in late April and was so lucky to have MADISON as my consultant. She had wonderful customer service skills and was so patient and nice! She knew I was looking for a budget friendly dress, but that didn't change the level of customer service she gave me. She helped me pick out several gowns to try on based on my style preference and budget. I didn't have anyone shopping with me to help change in and out of the gowns and she helped me with that part too. When changing gowns, she offered to hold my cell phone and put it in her pocket for me since I didn't have a good place to put it except the floor of the dressing room. Then she also took pics of me in each dress (front & back) so I could email the pics to my mom for her opinion!! I really felt that Madison went above and beyond with her level of customer service!! As a result, I ended up finding just the perfect dress for me! The only negative, and the only reason I'm giving this 4/5 stars, is that the store didn't have a lot of consultants staffed on a week night so they kept calling her to the front of the store to assist customers while she was working with me. It wasn't Madison's fault, and I felt bad that she was pulled in both directions, but we worked around it. When you go to David's, be sure to ask for MADISON!! read more

After reading all the reviews on here I felt compelled to write one. I had an amazing experience at David's Bridal in Lenexa, KS. Here's why. 1) Customer Service - From the moment I walked in I felt like everyone genuinely wanted to help me. I had previously purchased my dream wedding dress at another Davids Bridal but due to a surprise bun in the oven the dress had become a little snug. I asked the sales associates to help me find shape wear or a new affordable dress as my fiance and I had decided to elope the upcoming weekend. The manager, Nikki, helped me out. We attempted to find some shape wear but my bust was too big for my current dress. After establishing I would need a new dress, I was given a variety of options in several different styles and sizes. Danielle, a sales associate was assigned to me and we discussed what I was looking for. She took the time to listen to what I wanted & brought me a variety of non traditional dresses to try on. I have never had better service. *Also I need to mention this happened an hour before closing and I didn't feel rushed at all. 2) Pricing - I was able to exchange my old dress (even though it was past the 30 day exchange point) and just pay the difference for the new dress. I cannot tell you how appreciative I was for not having to buy a whole new dress. read more

The service that I received from Amanda Holm on Saturday, April 11, 2015 was beyond words. This young lady healed my breaking heart. I had gone to several bridal and formal wear shops before coming to this particular Davids Bridal with no luck. My daughter and I were shopping for a prom dress and my daughter is a plus size. It is very difficult to find really nice dresses or even a good selection of dresses in plus sizes. We both were extremely frustrated and I was about in tears when Amanda found me and asked me if I was being helped. I told her no and she said that she would help me. The service I received from her was beyond any help I had received any of the previous six shops that I had been. She was beyond sweet and very understand about the situation. I live in Topeka Kansas in we have a David's bridal here but my daughter and I will be coming back to this David's bridal just so that we can be assisted by Amanda again. My daughter is going to be in a debutante ball this coming fall and we are not getting her dress from any other store just because of the wonderful assistance we received from Amanda. Amanda informed me that she works on Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays, if you are available on any of these days please ask for her. read more

I bought my wedding gown July 7th of 2014. I felt pressured by family to buy a dress early. Our wedding date is in late May 2015. I bought my dress when I was a size two. Winter weight and all. I don't fit in that dress. I was frightened. I didn't know how to handle it. I called david's bridal to set up an alteration appointment. My tailor was extremely professional and she spoke with the manager about my situation. Turns out I'm now a size 6. :/ Kelsey (the store manager) was willing to give me a full exchange for the gown and slip. I can not tell you how delighted I was to hear that I didn't have to purchase a completely new gown! I met with Anna today. She helped me with my first gown (the size 2 one). She was very professional and helpful! I got a lovely new gown today. The material is very good quality. I doubled down today because of the level of service I received from everyone at davids bridal. I'm thrilled with my dress! I can't wait to wear it! Thank goodness for the folks at davids bridal! I had the best wedding dress experience ever! :) read more

I had gone to a couple local boutiques before coming to David's. I hadn't been satisfied with the service at any of those places. I felt rushed and that's not something you want to feel when you're picking out your dress for your wedding! My entire experience from the moment I walked into David's was AMAZING. I can't sing the praises of the woman that helped us enough, Amanda. She was so incredibly patient with me and so sweet. She put me back in the dress I decided on FOUR TIMES! She never once made me feel like she had something else to be doing or that I needed to hurry up and decide. She gave me her full attention the entire time. Every girl dreams of their wedding day and all that leads up to it. I am so so happy I came to David's and that I'll always have this memory of finding my dress. Thank you Amanda for being so wonderful! read more

I had an amazing time at the store a couple of days ago. I had picked out 10 wedding dresses to try because I got so excited about the selection of dresses in my size (18-20). I picked four that I really loved and tried those. My stylist was so helpful and fun. She was just as excited about the dresses as I was! She and I were on the same page. She was good at suggesting things but also listening to what I was saying. She also pulled a dress for me to try that she thought I might like. She did a good job and it was my 2nd favorite but I went with the first! I love my gown and I feel absolutely gorgeous in it! Thank you Davids Bridal! And a special thank you to my stylist Amanda! She was absolutely wonderful! Will be returning for my bridesmaids! read more

Angela G. After having a stressful experience in another bridal shop i was casually browsing through your store and saw a dress that I fell in love with. I wasn't in the store looking for a dress, but to find a dress that I loved, it was reasonably priced and they were able to get it to me in tow weeks is SO AMAZING! I was told the dress would not be here until July 1st, but it came a lot sooner than that. I love the ladies in that store, it was buzzing with business, but I still got the help I didn't even know I needed. Thank you ladies so much. I cannot wait to come in and get my alterations done in August! I love you all for helping make this time much easier and I am going to look fabulous in this dress. Big Hugs and Kisses to you all. read more

I tried my dress on a week before my wedding after several bad alterations at the David's in Topeka and was appalled when I saw that the beautiful buttons down the back of my dress were extremely off center and the bottom two layers of my dress were crooked. I panicked and called this David's and was immediately booked for an hour later. Vicky was extremely attentive and fixed my dress within an hour. She calmed me down and had me speak with the manager about my experience in Topeka so they could speak with their alterations department about what had happened. I am so so grateful for Vicky and the rest of the David's staff for their quick action and their willingness to work with a moderately hysterical bride. I can't thank them enough. read more

I had the most amazing experience at this David's Bridal. I am a plus size bride and was feeling very hesitant to try on dresses. My first experience was not good. However, when I met Anna all my fears flew away! She listened to what I wanted and was not going to leave until I was happy. After trying on TONS of dresses, I found the perfect dress and was disappointed to find it was on clearance and not in my size. Anna came to the rescue and hunted down the dress for me at another store! When I received my dress for my fitting everything went perfectly too. I only needed a bustle but the ladies who helped me were kind and supportive. I loved every minute of the dress buying experience here! read more

Loved our experience today at David's Bridal in Lenexa! Our daughter's wedding is in April and we had not been able to shop together for a wedding dress due to the pandemic. We were extremely nervous about the tight timeline and supply chain issues due to COVID-19. Emily scheduled an appointment with us and met us there today (we had a big snow storm but Emily still showed up...so grateful) and took exceptional care of us. Emily helped us find a perfect dress that is beyond anything we imagined! We got the perfect shoes (swoon worthy), a perfect veil and everything we needed for Abby's special day. We are grateful and thrilled and highly recommend both Emily and David's Bridal in Lenexa!!! read more

I have been to David's bridal in the past, and didn't necessarily have the best of experiences. I went in last Friday to find a grooms woman dress for a wedding the middle of October. I thought 3 months would be plenty of time, but with the combo of color and what I wanted with the dress it was going to be a challenge. Dionne and her team took great care of us, specifically Dionne and Danielle went above and beyond to get us what we wanted. They were so attentive, called other stores, pulled list, showed us many options. They ended up getting me a dress that I liked 10 times more than the dress I was originally looking at, and it was all around a great experience! read more

Kelsey and Stephanie were so helpful to me the whole time during my appointment and made sure I was taken care of when it ran too long and they had other appointments. Kelsey helped me articulate my emotions about my comfort level with each dress and get in and out of every dress, and Stephanie was there ready to quickly alter or spritz up a dress to it's full potential just how I wanted! Was very impressed and happy with how they didn't push any dresses on me to buy and when I couldn't decide between 2 dresses, they offered to keep them for me and let me come back and try them on later so I can sleep on the big decision. I thoroughly enjoyed it! read more

Today I went into the David's Bridal in Lenexa with my best friend to look for her wedding gown. We were worried at first because they were so busy we were afraid that no one would be able to help us. But the lady at the front desk welcomed us and got a stylist with us right away! Our stylist was Nichole and she was amazing! My best friend is really shy but she felt at ease with Nichole and was able to share her vision with her. She found her wedding gown I wanted to thank Nichole and Shannon the manager for taking care of us. It was hectic but they still made us feel special. We will be back for bridesmaid dresses soon! read more

Anna was great. My daughter and I had been to multiple boutique dress shops and never found the dress. The dress buying experience can be nerve racking but with Anna listening to our likes and dislikes we found the perfect dress. Anna was so patient and attentive. She helped us coordinate the whole look. I think my daughter will be the most beautiful bride with all the details Anna helped us work out. I always thought of David's Bridal as an off the rack store for rushed weddings but the selection was great and service was excellent. read more

So as a plus size bride I had reservations about coming to David's Bridal for a dress. I had heard they didn't treat plus size brides very well. Not only did Hannah treat me with the upmost respect but she made me feel like I was special. I can not say enough good things about the bridal shop and alterations. They put in a corset back and sleeved that I wanted. They didn't have the sleeves in the store,so after searching for a tulle that matched my dress they added exactly what I wanted. They all went above and beyond!!!!! read more

David's bridal was the first stop that we made to go look at wedding dresses. Of course, I was super nervous, thinking I wouldn't be able to find my dress. After sitting down with Erin, the woman I was working with, we listed off what I was and wasn't looking for an a dress. I gave her my price range, and she hit it right on the nose. After trying on the first dress, I knew I was in love! I've never felt so much emotion in my life, and I cannot thank her enough for helping me find exactly what I envisioned. read more

My experience at this Davids Bridal was absolutely wonderful. I knew the dress I wanted and went in and then I met the BEST EVER person working at DB. Her name was Dione. She was so polite, knowledgeable, easy going, quick and she had a wonderful fashion sense. My wedding party was with me including my Fiancé and even he commented that she was one of the best he had ever seen. Everyone was just blown away by the quality of service Dione gave. If ur ever in DB ask for her and you will not be disappointed. read more
