This store is truly one of a kind. My friend and I went in there last night; it felt like a Magical Wonderful . The displays are exceptional. The owner is knowledgeable about her stock and makes helpful suggestions. Also; she is just plain fun to talk to . Clothes are cute and timeless. A low key elegant look. The dish towels are worth the trip...so funny to read. This was our second trip to this store ...and we are going back . We are both pleased with how the clothes look, and fit after several washes. read more

I couldn't resist the sidewalk clearance rack when walking to my car after lunch yesterday. My friend and I stopped in and quickly realized that everything here is adorable! We were greeted by Sylvia who helped us throughout our shopping experience. She really got to know us, our sizes and what we like to wear. She was extremely attentive, bringing me different sizes and outfit ideas. She was helpful but not pushy. I purchased the perfect summer dress and will definitely be back!! I came in a few weeks ago and worked with Sylvia! She was amazing and helped me pick out some very cute pieces. There was a dress that I wanted and was told that it could be ordered for me and that it would be in the following week. When I didn't hear back from the boutique I reached out and asked about the status of this dress. I was told that it was never ordered and that they cannot get it. I understand these things happen but when I asked about what brand the dress was (maybe I could find it someplace else) . I reached out twice to ask about this and was never given an answer. I just would've appreciated a follow up answer. read more

Came into Amaze because my precious sister bought me some adorable jeans for my birthday and they weren't the right size. I was greeted by Sylvia who was just fantastic. Love this place! I spend too much money in there but always find great clothes & accessories. Their jeans are the best I've ever owned. The leggings are great for women of any size. They carry only standard sizes - S to L with occasional XL.The staff is wonderful, helpful, not pushy and will help you put pieces together. Prices are in line with boutique shops ($24-$42 shirts, $79 jeans, $54 dresses). I wear everything I've purchased there over and over. read more

Being in a charming stretch of a walkable area adds to its appeal, and the staff is always friendly. They also have Pickwick candles which are some of the best in town. Located in a very safe part of town, in a very easy to access location right off of 135th St, Kohls…read moreis there to service almost all of your clothing needs, along with other offerings that one might need for the house. Walking in the place is very clean and sterile, a much-appreciated attention to detail aspect. That said I didn't see many employees walking around so if you have questions, you'll have to be proactive and hunt them down for yourself. The place is logically laid out so finding what you need should be a breeze as apposed to other places I've been. Small stuff first. The kitchen section has a few nicer items but is marked up a lot from a regular experience, sometimes by a lot. So if you want Bobby Flay's pan set, break out the plastic baby it's gonna cost ya! Next the bedroom supplies aren't marked up that much and should have something to satisfy most people. For instance they have pillows, not specialized items but a sizable list of generic ones (could be name brand but I'm not a pillow expert). The kids might be a little sour on the toy section. It's not very big. I can't speak on the womens section. Oh wait, I did have to buy some tights for running a half marathon and since it's done at the end of winter they're readily available. The only pair I could find were womans yoga pants. That's right, I ran a half marathon with 30k other people in womens yoga pants (relax I had shorts on over them). Anyways the point is they do have something for everyone. As for the mens section it's decent. The available styles are extremely generic, lacking anything trendy. It's like dating the guy or girl which dress ok but have no knowledge of what's in fashion NOW. Their sports apparel section in terms of clothing for exercise is very good, but unless you have a local team, it's for the masses. So what do I buy here? Dress pants, dress shirts, dress belts and the occasional "Kramer" shirt. But if you're debating socks, underwear, tshits and so on, you're better off choosing that big red or blue store. As for their shoes, they do have a decent collection but void of top performance or style shoes. Overall, Kohl's is very middle America in terms of financial tier, the mentality and corporate targeting. Shopping here isn't as cheap as those big box places however it's not as expensive as those NY style department stores. This particular Kohls is safe with good employees and a lot of decent, albeit dated products. Stop on buy if you're buying a little something for yourself or family and want to save a buck while not looking completely out of touch.

Among different types of goods they had apparels, cards, accessories, cups, mugs, candies, chocolates, caps, coasters, posters, home candles and much more. Everyone has to cram their favorite fall…read moreactivities into those October weekends, like pumpkin picking, the perfect IG shot, cider and hayrides. Schaake's covers you for all of the above, just outside of Lawrence. Some other area pumpkin patches and farms offer pumpkin "picking" by simply setting up a ton of pumpkins for you to pick from a pile which is essentially the same as a grocery store. Schaake's is great because you can actually traipse through the fields, step over the vines and pluck your own pumpkins straight from the farm. In non-Covid times, they have a tractor ride to take you out and it'll pick you up so you don't have to haul them back. Covid times, they've added wheelbarrows up front so you can haul them easily. There are other little fun things here like a pumpkin slingshot, a chicken coop, concessions with cider & kettle corn, hay bale maze, cows, and an old school playground area. If you like the peaceful openness of rural Kansas, this farm will certainly deliver on that, even though it's very close to Lawrence. If it's one of those perfect weekends in October, know that it's going to be very busy, but it's always fun no matter how packed it gets. It's worth the trip over from KC as well as we haven't found a better pumpkin patch anywhere around.
