I woke up and decided I wanted to find my wedding dress that day. As some of you know, it's nearly impossible to do walk-ins at bridal shops. After going to a few and trying to schedule a few appointments, which we successfully did for later in the evening, we called BE. They had just opened and advised they could fit us in immediately. As soon as I walked in the door, I was welcomed by a few of the staff members. The interior of the building was decorated gorgeously. Private bridal suites, with couches, chairs for guests and extremely large mirrors. A separate room with a large mirror to dress in private. Devon introduced herself and informed me she would be my bridal consultant for the appointment. Devon led me back to a private viewing room and asked to see pictures and pinterest boards of wedding dresses I liked. She asked specifically what I liked about it, what I disliked and what I was indifferent on. After going through the run down, Devon personally measured me to ensure the dresses I tried on would fit. The best part was that Devon wasn't awkward about seeing me in undergarments or somewhat naked when trying on dresses. She made me feel comfortable in my own body and not judged. After going to some previous shops, I wasn't measured and they guessed which led to me not being able to fit in certain gowns and getting stuck so this was very reassuring off the bat. Devon is hands down one of the most sweetest, kindest, outgoing, bubbly and most helpful consultant I've ever encountered. Devon listened to understand which was huge for me. Devon pulled a variety of dresses and helped me realize the dresses I liked in the photos, I didn't like on my body. We were able to figure out what dresses fit my body type and the very last dress Devon pulled happened to be my dream dress. Devon took me to the celebration suite when she asked if I was saying yes, then popped a bottle of champagne. They also gave my pregnant friend a sparkling water so she could enjoy as well. The owner came in and personally congratulated me and gave me compliments on the dress. After dressing out, they asked to take a yes picture to celebrate. All in all, this is hands down the best small business bridal shop I've ever been to. This experience made me so glad to have chosen this shop. Thank you ladies, you've outdone yourself

First of all, the stylist we worked with was SO nice, fun, and helpful. She was five stars all the way. I loved the dresses she tried - all of them were gorgeous. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 and not 5/5 is because the building itself has seen better days and in comparison to some other bridal boutiques it just didn't have as much elegance (though was still very nice!) also it felt less intimate since there were probably 3-4 other fittings going on and you had to walk through at least one of them to get to our fitting room, which felt a bit awkward. Overall would I recommend? Absolutely! Is it the *best* experience in town, maybe not, but it's a close second.

Altar Bridal Review…read more I had the absolute pleasure of shopping at Altar Bridal for my very first wedding dress shopping experience. Nancy was a kind, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgable consultant who made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! She listened to what I wanted and made sure to show me plenty of dresses that fit that vision, but she also showed me some gorgeous dresses that were outside of my comfort zone. She explained all of her choices, why she picked them and how she thought they fit my vision or would make me feel and walked me through the details on each one. I knew I wanted to try a little of everything since I had never tried any sort of gowns on before and she delivered! I was able to see myself in a variety of silhouettes and styles, which really helped me narrow it down to the dress of my dreams. It's also worth noting that she was extremely respectful of my budget, which is something I was nervous about with dress shopping in general. I left the appointment feeling confident, beautiful, and so happy. I felt like Nancy was committed to finding me the dress of my dreams, regardless of where I ended up finding it. She was genuinely happy to hear about my second appointment at a different store and told me I'd have a great time. She also let me know that if I ended up wanting to move forward with a dress that I'd tried at Altar, all I would need to do is call and let them know. I never once felt pressured to buy anything from there, which was something I was also worried about with dress shopping in general. Ultimately, my second experience paled in comparison to the one at Altar. At the end of both appointments I knew that a dress I had picked out at Altar was the one for me (coincidentally, it was the very first dress Nancy had me try on, which I think speaks to how well she understood what I was dreaming of!). I called and talked to Sarah, who was also extremely kind and helpful, and told me the dress was mine! She made me feel super comfortable and listened to my likes and dislikes so well. She was also super understanding of my budget and didn't show me anything that was over. For someone who is a size 18, there were so many dresses to try on and they were all so beautiful! The shop has a HUGE variety of dresses, which was great especially for trying on for the first time. While I didn't find my dream dress, I never felt pressured to purchase a gown that I didn't love. I would highly recommend!!

So I decided that night to go back and try it on again to decide for sure and they said it was gone, it wasn't even 24 hours later. The owner of the store helped me this time and told me she could special order it and I asked about returns, since I wasn't sure about it and she said that I could get merchandise credit but they didn't give cash, I said fine because I could find something else to buy. Then she said they were having a trunk show from this designer in 2 weeks so I could wait for that and she wouldn't have to charge me shipping, but when I was looking on their website it said free shipping over 100.00, so it was for their benefit, not mine , another lie they told me. When I tried the dress on at home I decided it wasn't that flattering and I didn't want it, when I tried to take it back the 2 women working ,one of whod had helped me when I bought it, told me there were no returns on special orders, and the owner who had told me when I bought it that I could get store credit now said I could not return it at all. So they lost me permanently as a customer, I don't shop anywhere with such bad customer service and return policies, there are way to many other great stores to choose from, I really didn't even like the store very much it was hard to shop for me and you obviously can't trust what they say. The first thing you'll notice when you come in is that you're treated like a VIP. I'm not sure if they ever do multiple fittings at the same time, but when we were there it was just us and the private experience was really nice. The stylist working was SO kind and helpful, and they give you complimentary champagne. What's not to like? While my sister ended up up choosing another boutique's dress in the end, this one had beautiful gowns, an A+ staff, and a relaxed environment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone shopping for a dress.
