Located in a very safe part of town, in a very easy to access location right off of 135th St, Kohls is there to service almost all of your clothing needs, along with other offerings that one might need for the house. Walking in the place is very clean and sterile, a much-appreciated attention to detail aspect. That said I didn't see many employees walking around so if you have questions, you'll have to be proactive and hunt them down for yourself. The place is logically laid out so finding what you need should be a breeze as apposed to other places I've been. Small stuff first. The kitchen section has a few nicer items but is marked up a lot from a regular experience, sometimes by a lot. So if you want Bobby Flay's pan set, break out the plastic baby it's gonna cost ya! Next the bedroom supplies aren't marked up that much and should have something to satisfy most people. For instance they have pillows, not specialized items but a sizable list of generic ones (could be name brand but I'm not a pillow expert). The kids might be a little sour on the toy section. It's not very big. I can't speak on the womens section. Oh wait, I did have to buy some tights for running a half marathon and since it's done at the end of winter they're readily available. The only pair I could find were womans yoga pants. That's right, I ran a half marathon with 30k other people in womens yoga pants (relax I had shorts on over them). Anyways the point is they do have something for everyone. As for the mens section it's decent. The available styles are extremely generic, lacking anything trendy. It's like dating the guy or girl which dress ok but have no knowledge of what's in fashion NOW. Their sports apparel section in terms of clothing for exercise is very good, but unless you have a local team, it's for the masses. So what do I buy here? Dress pants, dress shirts, dress belts and the occasional "Kramer" shirt. But if you're debating socks, underwear, tshits and so on, you're better off choosing that big red or blue store. As for their shoes, they do have a decent collection but void of top performance or style shoes. Overall, Kohl's is very middle America in terms of financial tier, the mentality and corporate targeting. Shopping here isn't as cheap as those big box places however it's not as expensive as those NY style department stores. This particular Kohls is safe with good employees and a lot of decent, albeit dated products. Stop on buy if you're buying a little something for yourself or family and want to save a buck while not looking completely out of touch. read more

If you start hard enough if you can save some serious money, you get to $50 then you get $10 off, as always there's lots of caveat about what you can do today and what you have to come back for selection was good checkout time was better than we thought. I knew it was going to be interesting when the lady at the customer care counter was in full on face mask like a welding shield. I'm so absolutely done with this organization and their magic money. Here is a reward for buying from our store if you need to exchange the item we will deduct that reward so you have to pay MORE than you paid the first time. DONE with the games I would rather pay more for the item the first time and have a straightforward policy than this funny money BS. I don't shop in person at many stores, or buy many items brand new. I'm super thrifty. This location is right by me, and has an Amazon return station, so that's where I go when I need to do that. But, dince they reel you in with coupons when you do Amazon returns, and they constantly have amazing deals in the clearance areas throughout the store, I usually look for anything that I'm already needing, in hopes of finding a great deal. Besides the coupons, they do 30-35% off most purchases, if you use their CC! If you're like me, and you make sure to pay CC off each month to get the deals, this is an amazing deal! The employees at this location are all super friendly (I've probably interacted with 20+), and it's clean and well organized. I am normally very pleased with Kohl's in Olathe. I recently received one of their promotional offers to get an additional $5 off one merchandise item. However, because I also had a 30% coupon from a charge card mailing, I did not receive my $5 off. It was reduced . The receipt says " adjusted % offer". Then why not tell me, this does not apply in actuality. This was not true and just a marketing gimmick. If someone is a charge customer who just happens to receive their 30% off coupon in the mail along with other promotional offers, don't expect the appropriate stated discount value that Kohl's tells its customers! read more

First Kohl's I've been in where they have clearly marked signage and staff near the door to direct you where you need to go. I was dropping off an Amazon return (thank you SO MUCH Kohl's for your partnership with Amazon - makes life a ton easier) for my parents. It was easy in and out. I'd also add this Kohl's location was very tidy, not an easy feat right after the holidays, so it was more than a little tempting to do some shopping for myself while I was there. read more

I'm not a huge Kohl's shopper, but I go when they send me a high-value coupon like they did this week. Since I was out near Olathe, I decided to try this location. I kind of wish the stores would have the same layout, but they don't. This one looked larger, but seemed to have less selection, but I haven't been to a store for several months, so maybe my perception was incorrect. I did find some great bargains. During checkout I found it amusing that a second cashier was coming on and my cashier just yells out of nowhere "NOT THAT MACHINE!" really loud like right into my face although she was talking to the other cashier. That seemed a bit unnecessary, but it wasn't the worst thing that's ever happened in a store. read more

Kohl's is friggin awesome. It was like shopping at a TJ Max... only it was much much bigger... with a way more diverse selection. Some sections of the store display styles of the late 90's... and others are perfectly modern. A perfect catering for multi-generations. The prices... bomb-friggin-diggity... and the staff was damn nice. Mom lost her coupon. Mom asks for the discount. Denied. Counter lady finishes ringing everything up. Counter lady gives Mom the discount... and in an adorable older-lady-midwest voice-and-tone no doubt. Kohl's is a cross between Gordman's, Penney's and The Maxx. They have a pretty good selection especially for teens and men. The women's section is a little small but I can usually find something. I love their T-Shirts. If you want an unusually T-Shirt this is the place to get it. The have great Black Friday ads and back to school ads. I am always here on Black Friday, seriously some of the best deals in town. Jewelry selection is good most is 10 kt gold or sterling silver and they have a costume jewelry department that is fun. I found some great 80's type jewelry here. Prices are great. Customer service is very good. It is clean and people are friendly. Bathrooms have always been clean when I have used them. They also have a nice linens and kitchen section with fun items. I bought a few things here I have had issues finding else way. read more

I can't think of a time that I've been dissatisfied with this store, other than when things get picked over, which isn't their fault. The staff is typically friendly and the store is relatively tidy. Kohl's is one of my favorite places to shop. They have a nice selection for clothes and home items. The prices are reasonable. The staff is always pleasant and friendly. I question that they have so many sales, discounts with so many different things, etc. Just lower your prices instead of all of the gimmicks. Also, if I say I am not interested in a credit card, don't ask me again 3 times. Purchased some fine jewelry items and as I was making the purchase the wonderful consultant asked and advised that if I did not have to purchase them that night, she would hold them for me to pick up the next day so that I could purchase them at the sale price. I love shopping here. Especially in the clearance sections. Their clearance goes up to 90 percent off, which means you can get an entire outfit for less that 10 dollars, less than 5 even. The shoes are a little harder for me to find my size (5 in kids, but I'm adult) or my fiance's size (13 in men's). Especially if we are trying to shop for cheap shoes. They always have sales which is nice, and then they try to get you addicted to the Kohl's cash, which seems to be a pretty easy thing to do. I'm avoiding signing up for the charge card at all costs.
